We began to prepare for the vacation in advance, carefully read the reviews on the Internet, consulted with a travel agent and opted for the Sentido Mediterranean Village hotel in the resort town of Paralia. I liked that it was not far from the airport, just over an hour. Our flight was in the morning, we were already early at the hotel, we had to wait a bit for our room to be ready, but we were ready for this and while exploring the hotel area and had time to drink coffee on the veranda.
The hotel, of course, is chic, even when fully loaded in the season it is calm and spacious, the territory is quite large, there are several restaurants, the beach is just a fairy tale: sandy, wide, spacious on the beach, there are a lot of sunbeds and umbrellas, you can order a large tent for an additional fee, costs 25 euros. We had a tour with breakfasts and dinners, we liked the kitchen at the hotel, drinks at dinner were paid. We went for lunch either to the tavern opposite, or had a bite to eat at the bar.
Be prepared for a tourist tax right away, it is 4 euros per day per room, they take it immediately upon arrival.
There are no Russian-speaking staff at the hotel, but everyone speaks English, so this was not a problem for us. The girls at the reception are very nice and always ready to help, you can also take a beach towel at the reception for a deposit of 10 euros. The nearest resort of Paralia is about 25 minutes walk along the sea or you can order a taxi at the reception, the resort itself is noisy, a lot of people, cafes and restaurants, walked there a couple of times for souvenirs and dine. Of the excursions, we took a trip to Meteora from the hotel guide, a cruise to the island of Skiathos and Thessaloniki. All excursions were clearly organized and the guides are real professionals, we were satisfied.
We will now boldly recommend this hotel and resort to all our friends and are already thinking of coming back next year.
