After reading the reviews, we chose the Poseidon Palace Hotel in Pieria. Everything turned out as people write, which made us very happy. I would even say that this hotel is for demanding tourists. But if someone does not want to see constantly surrounded by Germans, then you are clearly not here) The hotel focuses on Russian and German tourists.
Very cozy and warm. for a relaxing holiday. A favorite hotel for local Greeks, who constantly hold weddings and christenings there! And these events are very big. Yes, and tourists like to look at it, you completely plunge into the Greek flavor. Three restaurants, one in the main building and another on the summer terrace, breakfast and dinner are held in the building, and lunch on the outdoor terrace. The bungalows are very conveniently located, and the rooms themselves are good, everything you need is there, the cleaning is done in a timely manner, there are no complaints about the service. The food is simply gorgeous, very varied, in large quantities and fruits and sweets, the menu is constantly changing. But entertainment is not very good, especially the beginning of the season, and there were few tourists. The nearest village is a couple of kilometers, you can walk along the embankment, it’s a good walk! There is a daily bus, morning and evening. The village of Leptokarya is called. A small tourist town, with shops, souvenir shops and taverns. There is a big church. There are also large supermarkets, if anyone wants, then olive oil and alcohol can be safely taken there, the prices are adequate. There is a good leather store called Akis. And a couple of fur salons. There is where to walk and buy souvenirs) We didn’t go on excursions, the prices seemed very expensive to us, a decent sum came out for the whole family, and our goal was also to buy a fur coat, so we refrained from traveling, and I can’t say anything about excursions. And for a fur coat, we went with a girl who works in a fur coat salon, we were advised by friends who had a rest last summer. An organized and inexpensive trip came out. The choice at the factories is so large that we had to go as many as twice, but we achieved our goal) Everyone who traveled in a group was dissatisfied, someone bought quickly and he no longer wanted to travel further, someone was not going to take anything and I went out of boredom, and calmly people did not manage to choose such a serious purchase.
