We spent our honeymoon at the Oceana Hotel. We were looking for a small, cozy, quiet hotel. The manager of the travel agency in our city advised this hotel, for which many thanks to them. Really got everything we asked for. A small area of the hotel with a cozy lawn and a great beach. The rooms are very tidy, with everything you need, excellent cleaning.

Really got everything we asked for. A small area of the hotel with a cozy lawn and a great beach. The rooms are very tidy, with everything you need, excellent cleaning. Compliment from the hotel at dinner - excellent wine upon arrival. The food is varied and with very good Greek cuisine. There is an excellent tavern on the territory of the hotel, so we ate in it, were very satisfied, did not look for anything else. The staff is beyond praise, smiling, responsive, responsive to any desire. We rented a car and traveled around the area. We went up to Olympus to watch the sunset, romance!! ! There are many impressions, it is impossible to put everything into words. We advise everyone to visit these beautiful places. Swimming in the Aegean Sea on the territory of the hotel, you enjoy the majestic Mount Olympus and the Platomonas fortress of the Byzantine period, which is located on a hill near the village where we lived. And opposite the peninsula of Halkidiki Kassandra. We walked around the village of Nea Panteleimon in the evening. The village is not big with shops and souvenir shops. So, gifts for relatives were bought here. Thank you all for a great vacation. Will we return again to this hotel or to these parts? Certainly - and more than once. Grateful tourists from Tambov.

We spent our vacation in the summer at the Ocean Hotel, near Olympus. The hotel was chosen for a short time, but stopped there. Family hotel, hospitable, helpful people. Good service. They were delighted with the food, the hotel has its own tavern, so during the day there was no need to go anywhere from the hotel. Always fresh seafood. The hotel area is small, but cozy enough and equipped with its own beach. I always choose a hotel near the beach, so here it is.... you leave the hotel, a few steps and you are in the sea.... In the evening we walked around the village where the hotel is located, it is called Paralia Panteleimon. The village is small, with small shops and shops. We rode on a train that goes to the neighboring village of Platamonas, after seven o'clock in the evening it starts its route, the price per person is 3 euros there and back. The sea in this region has a wide coastline, fine sand and the entrance to the sea is sand, but with pebbles. We rested on our last vacation in Halkidiki, there were many impressions, but due to old age and remoteness from the main attractions, we did not go on many excursions. For this purpose, in order to still visit Meteora and Olympus, they chose this region and were not mistaken. More in love with this country. Now seriously thinking about buying property in Greece. We look after the region and get acquainted with the prices.

Rested in August 2015. Liked: - kitchen; -proximity to the beach. Did not like: - the so-called vast territory is 18m by 20m. Moreover, on this site you will not be able to sit in the shade anywhere without ordering something at the bar. It's kind of like a hotel area, but it's REALLY a bar area. As soon as you are seated, a waiter will come up to you with a tray and say "HELLO! ".

It's kind of like a hotel area, but it's REALLY a bar area. As soon as you are seated, a waiter will come up to you with a tray and say "HELLO! ".
If you show or say that you do not need anything, then they will leave you. BUT they will find an opportunity to demonstrate that you are in the wrong place.
For example, they bring you a beautiful decanter with cold water and a glass, showing that this is at the expense of the institution and you do not need to pay for it. If you use this water, then you are kind of like a debtor, and if not, then you are an impolite person.
My wife and I ordered tea. They brought a glass of cold water, a cup of boiling water and a bag of tea. Price - 2 euros! Now you can sit at the table. But if you got up and went for a swim, then upon returning everything will happen again - "HELLO! " etc. It is as if they are seeing you for the first time, although it is the same waiter, and you are the same guest who has been living for a week.
As a result, they managed like this: they found a half-broken rocking chair in the utility yard and settled down in the shade on it
- The so-called "spacious room" (we had 102) was such that at first it took some getting used to. the size is about 3.5m by 3.5m. But the trouble is that there are no protective sun visors in the loggias. In particular, on our south side the sun hit from 10 o'clock to 17 o'clock. During this period, it was not possible to be in the loggia.
And in the hotel opposite, there are such visors EVERYWHERE, regardless of the direction of the world.
- A trifle, but the TV does not accept Russian-language programs.
- We rested according to the "breakfast-dinner" formula. So at breakfast there is tea and coffee, at dinner - only cold water in decanters.
- between the hotel and the beach there is a road along which cars drive slowly. Greeks come here by car to rest. THIS IS A CITY BEACH. And the Greeks love to relax. Cars run from 10 am to 11 pm.
By the way - there is no toilet on the beach. Guess how the Greeks who come by car for the whole day deal with this.
There are no changing rooms. And my wife and I are used to changing into dry clothes after bathing. For some, this is a trifle. But these little things are the rest.
Here is a sausage.
TOTAL if you are ready to rest on 2 stars, then you are here.

Going to Greece, my friend and I were looking for a small family hotel located on the first line, preferably with its own beach. I wanted to relax, swim and, of course, treat myself to Greek cuisine, the memories of which I have preserved since 1985, when I happened to taste them for the first time. And now we are already in Thessaloniki, and after 2 hours we get off the bus at the door of the Ocean Hotel.

A small hall, a counter, on it a bunch of keys to the rooms, lucky people in bathing suits pass by. We are humbly waiting, because it’s only 10 am, and the settlement is after 2 pm. It doesn’t even take 10 minutes, when a young man with a beard appears, as it turned out, one of the owners of the hotel, Dimitros, takes our voucher, compares it with something, chooses the key from the room, picks up our suitcases and, cheerfully slapping the stairs with bare feet, invites us to follow him. To the second floor, where we are settled, a white marble staircase leads, absolutely clean at any time of the day.
We get a good room with standard furniture, bright, spacious, with a large bathroom with radiant clean sanitary ware, a refrigerator mounted almost under the ceiling, a TV. The beds turned out to be very comfortable, our spines felt great on them. Regularly changed bed linen and towels were always snow-white. A cozy balcony overlooking the hotel's beach, and of course the sea. There is a round table and 2 chairs on the balcony. Everywhere is very clean.
The hotel area is quite small, but very cozy, arranged so that everyone is comfortable. The green lawn is protected from the sun by a decorative crown of trees, with which the thatched roof of the bar goes well.
A small beach with umbrellas full of sunbeds, and everything is free. The beach is sand and small pebbles, a soft descent into the sea, clear water. You can order drinks at the bar that you can bring directly to the beach, but this is already for the money. Between the sun beds there are small "bedside tables" with recesses for bottles, glasses and urns, filled in the evening, already empty in the morning. Music plays in the background on the beach all day. There is a ping-pong table, a volleyball court, including
WiFi. Now in one corner, then in another corner, someone is sitting with a laptop.
Our room was located above the restaurant, and every morning we were awakened by the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Barely waiting for breakfast time, we hurried down. The breakfast is European, plentiful, with indispensable olives, each the size of a good plum, freshly baked croissants, Greek yogurt. Hearty, delicious .
Dinner began with soup, which was poured by the chef himself. We did not try everything, but there were no tasteless ones. Then the torment began, since this cook cooked very tasty, I wanted to try, if not all, then we aspired to this, but we couldn’t. For 10 days, there was no repetition in the set of dishes. Traditional were only a village salad, the one that we call Greek, and olives.
By the way, in this salad, the Greeks do not cut the feta into small pieces, but put it on top of the vegetables in one large piece. Seafood, fish, meat of all kinds and in different ways, potatoes in completely unusual versions, vegetables, often grilled.
The dinner was completed with the indispensable watermelon and melon, and then a walk through, as we called it, our village.
When we dined at the hotel restaurant, the dessert was a bonus.
Any of our requests met with full understanding, in which we were actively helped by the hotel guide Mouzenidis - Nina, a sweet, very friendly young woman.
With her help, we not only enjoyed the sea and Greek cuisine, but also climbed Mount Olympus, wandered around the ancient Dias, saw the armor of Philip II in Vergen, swam in the rain in the pool with thermal water. But, most importantly, we were in the monasteries on Meteora, the impression of visiting which cannot be compared with anything else. And we were also lucky that Maryana was the guide on this trip.
Both me and my companion liked the hotel. We are glad that "Oceana" lived up to our expectations. Clean, cozy, comfortable, tasty, the owners, maids, waiters simply radiate goodwill and are already beginning to understand Russian. Greeks are resting, many Kievans , married couples, often with children, even up to a year. In a small parking lot of the hotel cars with numbers of different countries.
We advised our friends and acquaintances to choose Oceana Hotel, located in Neos Panteleimonas, for a holiday in Greece.

When I was planning a vacation in the spring, and for some reason I was looking for hotels of a class not higher than 2 *, I found out that a low star rating does not mean a low level of a hotel. Simply, in this case, one or two items from the usual list of options are missing. Let's say everything is fine in the hotel, but there is no TV in the rooms, or only breakfast or no bar.

I chose "Ocean" because. I consider the lack of a pool rather a plus, and the lack of a hair dryer in the room is completely nonsense. Everything else in the "Ocean" is, including its own (for rent) beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas.
The hotel turned out to be one of the best in my life. (I have been traveling for 18 years twice a year and have something to compare with). The ocean stands on the beach and I have never lived closer to the sea. Even in expensive clubs on the first line, the hotel building itself usually stands some distance from the sea. In "Ocean" in addition to standard rooms there are two-room family suites and a room for the disabled. For those who are interested, I made a somewhat boring, but detailed photo report, so I will not dwell on the description of the rooms.
The food is superior to that of much more expensive hotels. Breakfast-dinner. Lunch is paid from the menu or you can go to the village. The food is absolutely homemade and plentiful. For example, for breakfast, in addition to just boiled eggs, there are also fried eggs and scrambled eggs.
The beach is sandy, the entry into the water is smooth. Waiters take orders and carry decoction all the way to the surf line. Unfortunately there are no topless aunts. There are few people on the beach, except for weekends, when people from Thessaloniki come to the Oceana beach. If the children do not wake up at night, you can arrange a romantic jaga-jaga with your half on the beach. There are no people at all at night.
There is a Russian channel on TV. If you are traveling with children, take a lightweight DVD player with you. You can connect to the box, turn on Masha with the bear and take a nap for an hour and a half.
The village itself is small. One street. Several restaurants and shops. An amusement park for children and an arcade for teenagers. On the outskirts, a donkey lives in a paddock and you can walk with children in the evenings and feed him bread and salt. (There is also a cheerful, kind hotel dog Orpheus of some Japanese breed. He can also be stroked and fed, but not very obviously, because the owners are afraid that they will squeeze him).
Car rental is by phone. Tacha is driven to the hotel and picked up there. If you charm a rental girl, a discount of up to 10 per day is possible.
A tourist train goes to a neighboring, more lively and noisy town and makes a stop there for 30 minutes. A very noisy and party place is the places on the Olympic beach near the city of SKOTINA. At the entrance to this party center in an open field there is a small hut with the inscription "Striptease" and roughly drawn women in negligee. The place looks so creepy that I slowed down for five minutes, hoping to see woodpeckers who dare to enter there. Not wait.
In these towns it is pleasant to wander in the crowd, gawk at the shops, drink beer. You should not let one wife and children go there, because. the presence of a large number of not quite sober, relaxed, people attracts visiting crime to these places. All sorts of Albanian Albanians and Bulgarian Gypsies. On the outskirts, tents are poked around the camp, and some of them are moving strangely. When I returned to the car for forgotten cigarettes, a girl of 12-13 years old approached me and in English she was taken aback by the phrase - "Mister, if you give me 5e. , I will show you sissy... " I asked her where she came from (Kosovo Albanian) and then dumped all his poor knowledge of English curses. And in general, on the streets you can suddenly stumble upon extremely unsympathetic faces.
In the same place, you can rent quads of different cubic capacity and quite nice buggies.
Contingent. The "Ocean" is inhabited mainly by Greeks, Austrians, people from Eastern Europe (Serbia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, the Baltic countries, Moldova) and we. Half of the people come in their cars. People, mostly wealthy and accomplished, and I did not feel discomfort from communicating with a businessman from western Ukraine. On the contrary, I found out for myself, in a conversation with him, several questions on the problems of Ukrainian nationalism and Russophobia. Naturally, there are people in the hotel who simply save money, spitting on show-offs. The main thing is that in the "Ocean" there is no such breed of people who perceive rest and accommodation in a hotel as a kind of attraction, where, unlike their everyday life, everything should be high society, dolce vita and vanity fair. This people, in principle, is harmless, but annoying when a neighbor on the beach whines about the fact that TODAY they forgot to change his towel for his left ear. (Every time I try to figure out how many times a year such a pepper changes its, for all occasions, homemade towel. )
Staff. Unlike large hotels, where employees are detached and correct, everything is much more fun in the "Ocean". The co-owner of the hotel is Dimitri. Cheerful, lively cupcake 32 years old. Approximately every third glass he pours from himself, calls you a friend, flies after your wife and offers to sell the hotel. Dreams of marrying a Russian girl. His companion is a cheerful, calm aunt, who, when I checked into the hotel, surprised me by saying that she didn’t need any passports or questionnaires. She already sees that we are not crooks and gave out the keys. The waiters made friends with the children and tried to secretly feed them free ice cream from me.
Purchases. In connection with the crisis, the Greeks completely relaxed. It is almost impossible to buy anything locally produced in a store other than Oza and Metaxa. For authentic cartoons, go to the mountains. For shopping, take your half to Mediterenian Cosmos. Healthy shopping center like Mega with a standard range of European brands. Only much cheaper than in Moscow. There is a very good children's play area. Despite the language barrier, my bastards spent 2 hours there and did not utter a word. The only location is not easy. We must ask.
For the sake of interest, I visited several more 1-2 ** hotels. Didn't find anything repulsive anywhere. So, it makes sense to try to escape from the tenacious embrace of all inclusive.
It is necessary to finish, otherwise the moderators are angry. I wrote a lot, but not all. I will answer questions. (Excursions, transport, etc. )
P. S. A photo report will also somewhat complement the picture.
