Therefore, a reserve was not required, we arrived at the rental, set it up, it is convenient to leave the highway nearby, you don’t need to trudge 40 km / h through the whole city. It is also convenient that there is direct access to the embankment, along which 5-7 minutes. and drove to the historical center, and there walk as much as you want and the markets are still there, only Lidl is not far away (800 m).
The hotel was excellent, I think that it is in the best of standards, which is adjacent to the family suite at the end of the building, with almost direct views of the sea, partly of the hotel's pool and a view of a small area of the inner green courtyard. The room is absolutely standard, there is nothing to highlight, the only thing that catches your eye is that previously the balconies in these rooms were without a roof, now they are installing it and it already was in our room. Furniture and plumbing work properly, the condition is very even for European 4 *. Upon arrival, a fruit basket, water and a bottle of delicious red wine as a gift.
Meals breakfast + dinner with the ability to change lunch and dinner, water for free at dinner, which is especially nice lunches for children for free. The food is of high quality, without an abundance of any nonsense, specifically every meat dish, side dish, vegetables, fruits and desserts were to your liking. On Sunday morning, champagne is poured, but since a trip to Sparta and Mistra was planned that day, we did not try it. But all inclusive, apparently, is taken only by German pensioners who sit in the hotel without getting out and ply between the beach and the pool, and sing karaoke in the evening))
Beach towels are issued at the reception without collateral and deposits. In the summer we rested at the Grecotel Filoxenia hotel. We all enjoyed it very much and would love to come back. The room was perfectly clean, a cleaning lady came every day. The room is free of charge, safe, refrigerator, TV. It turned out that the room that we were allocated at the time of our arrival was not empty. When I opened the door, I saw a naked man there! a man and a half-naked woman hiding in the bathroom. . . Children (Age: 1 year and 2 years old) misunderstanding run into the room. The man pushes them out and closes the door. After a long road it's just a shock! With Anastasia (the only Russian-speaking employee of the hotel), we managed to contact not the first attempt. We spent some time with the children weeping from fatigue in the corridor, after which we were let into the next room. Anastasia said on the phone that our number would soon be free and we could move there! This drove me completely into a frenzy! After my indignation, we were "allowed" to stay in the room where they let us in. The bonus in this situation was a large balcony, unlike our original room. But because of this situation, we had to wait a long time until they found a second playpen-cot for us (the fact that there were two children, of course, was notified when ordering the tour), we waited a long time until they brought us a card from our new room... In general, the first the impression was clouded.
Of course, the hotel is moderately shabby, you should not expect any chic and gloss here. The rooms are primitive, without any soundproofing. The contingent of vacationers is the middle class of the Greeks and "ours". The hotel is full of families with children of different ages and pensioners. The area is not big, but quite landscaped.
The food is quite specific, also without frills. But in principle, you can choose something if you wish. We had all inclusive, in our situation with small children it is not comfortable to go to restaurants. I want to mention the waitress Anfi!! ! Very nice woman, just the patroness of children! She always offered her services, just one look is enough for her to fit! Always found high chairs for us (of which there are not many). The rest of the bar-restaurant staff weren't very courteous. There may be a mountain of dirty dishes on the table, and the waiter lightly walks past. From sweets - eternal soufflé and jelly in different shapes and colors. Of the fruits... we found cherries, there were watermelon, melon, apples, apricots, nectarines, grapes, plums. Of the drinks in the full board, many different alcoholic drinks are included, not of the worst quality. But it is better to take them in their pure form, because. all my cocktail tests were crowned with absolute disappointment, very tasteless!
Internet coverage in the hotel is of very poor quality. There is almost none in the room, but there are interruptions in communication on the territory of the so-called restaurant.
As for the sea - it is very clean! Turquoise-blue, transparent even far from the coast. We found him very warm during all 3 weeks. The beach is of course an amateur... quite large pebbles. Walking hurts, uncomfortable hot. Children were urgently bought special slippers. The beach is moderately clean. Sun loungers and umbrellas are somehow tattered)), in general, not the most aesthetic appearance. As for towels, all our stay they had to be taken near the bar, and then, if possible, returned there. But in the last two days there was an innovation! I have never seen anything like this in a 4-5 star hotel. . . You need to get beach towels from the maid once every two days! That is, you run around all day like a "fool with a mortar" with these towels . . You dry them, carry them to the room, from the room, to the sea, to the pool, unless you wash them in between, although it’s up to someone how it turns out))) I do not envy those who fell into such a routine!
For children, as well as for adults, there is no entertainment... There is a children's stuffy room in the main building on the second floor, where you need to climb a steep staircase. There is no playground on the street, you have to go to the playground next to the hotel where there are a lot of local kids 8-10 years old who run and knock the kids down. It's good that I organized myself and did not leave jewelry in the bathroom... It's scary to even think! I finally found out her absence on the last day, tk. I slept the last week in another and thought that that shirt was lying with other things. I had no idea to go through such things and keep track. I can’t even describe with what rudeness and frostbite Anastasia and the rest of the staff reacted to my statement. I spent the last evening running about this! I was told that this simply cannot be!
