I came as a designer with child models to this hotel for performances, for the Days of Ukraine in Greece. So that everyone understands not for free - each child paid 550 euros, and the children and the four of me lived in a bungalow, well, I also paid 800 euros for myself plus a visa. . . Thus settled us in two bungalows, 5-10 minutes from the main building. We had no complaints about the hotel itself - everything was excellent. The food is fresh and varied, the chefs and staff are smiling, there are many delicious pastries and drinks for children, including at the bar. The beaches are free, especially at this time, the water is clean, the entrance is gentle, everything you need is there. The rooms were cleaned every day, there were enough towels, including for the beach. Children enjoyed swimming in the numerous pools of the complex. Everything would be fine, but the territory is really on the outskirts, there is nowhere to go, and although animators from Italy and Latvia intensively invited children to mini-disco, I wanted to see something else in Greece itself, and not just a hotel, but this is just failed. . . The excursions that the hotel offered for children were expensive - 90 euros for Athens, 55 euros for Olympia plus 10 euros entrance for an adult, and the budget for children was not big. . . At the end of our 6 day stay, we were offered to go to the small port town of Katakolo, saying that there was not much to do there, but since it cost 10 euros for a child and 13 adults, we agreed. When we got on the bus, they demanded 13 euros for everyone, but thanks to one of the tourists, justice prevailed - the children paid 10, but the sediment remained. . . In Katakolo, by the end of our 3-hour stay, we saw an electric train, and what was our surprise to learn that it runs several times a day and for 5 euros a child ticket to Olympia, 10 adults! Arriving at the hotel, I asked this question to the reception staff, so as I repeatedly asked me and the children to suggest a budget option for an excursion, to which they portrayed puppet round eyes to me, saying that they did not know anything about such a possibility of a trip. It was painful and insulting that, being in Greece, due to the indifference of some employees, and maybe greed, we never saw Olympia, being so close to her and so unattainable far away!
