The most correct thing that a person tired of work and a crisis situation can do in the summer is to fly to wonderful, hospitable, sunny Greece! And if he chooses the Aithrio hotel for his vacation - in the small village of Niforeka - then he will be provided with a boost of energy and a lot of positive emotions! To begin with, I must say that even before directly entering this beautiful country, she pleased with the annual Schengen, which is pure happiness for those who like to unexpectedly break away for a weekend in Europe. Well, upon arrival at the hotel, a series of amazing events began. The scenic road from the airport took 30 minutes, the check-in procedure took 5 minutes. Some incredible luck can explain the fact that we got the most luxurious room with stunning panoramic sea views. . . I must say that the hotel is built in such a way that from almost every room at least a little, but you can see the sea! The room (triple) has everything - an equipped kitchen (kettle, microwave, dishes), iron and ironing board, air conditioning, even mosquito repellent, towels, soap. Internet in the hotel is free everywhere, although sometimes it works extremely slowly. Meals were taken twice a day, which is very, very good, because there are no restaurants or full-fledged shops nearby. The hotel, at the reception, sells basic necessities - caps, sunscreen, soap. You can also purchase olive oil and local wine. From food - melons, watermelons, ice cream, chips and drinks. There is a mini market in the neighboring hotel, but there is also absolutely nothing to buy from food - except for yogurts. The nearest place where you can visit full-fledged shops and restaurants is the village of Kato Achaia - 3 km from the hotel. Taxi one way - 7 euros. After settling in, the first thing we did was go to the sea. Since the hotel stands on a hill, the sea had to go down the zigzag stairs. The beach is small, pebbly, clean. Special shoes will not hurt, especially for children. On the beach, umbrellas are free, sun loungers - 2 euros. The sea is crystal clear, shimmering with all possible shades of blue and green. . . the opposite bank pleased the eye with high picturesque mountains. . . in general, the picture there is idyllic, it is impossible to stop looking! On the first day, the sea was stormy, the waves rolled with great force, producing a slightly eerie, but nevertheless delightful impression. . . The first dinner in the hotel's tavern, which also offers a stunning view of the sea, was very pleased. Not a very large variety of dishes, but the quality is at the highest level! Drinks at dinner are paid. The next day we were going to visit the main city of the Peloponnese - Patras. First of all, we reached Kato Achaia on foot - a 3 km long journey took 25 minutes. In no case should you walk along this road after lunch, there is practically no shade. We walked in the morning and already at 10.00 we were sitting on the bus to Patras (ticket 2.2 euros). The road took about an hour. Upon arrival, we went, as they say, wherever our eyes look - just walk and get to know the city. The city is beautiful - crowded and colorful, like any port. Endless streets with motley shops, crowded restaurants and cafes, polyphonic languages. . . real human anthill! We visited the temple of St. Andrew the First-Called - a place with an indescribable pacifying atmosphere, which is a must-see. The city will give shopping lovers the opportunity to enjoy both world brands of all price categories, as well as local Greek brands, among which you can find unique things. A trip to Patras has become a very bright event, everyone who will have a rest in the Peloponnese must visit! The remaining days enjoyed the sea and the sun, exploring the surroundings in the evenings. . . a lot of abandoned houses, even came across a couple of abandoned hotels. And, what was a little disappointing, the farther from the tourist places, the dirtier. On weekends, locals come, relax and leave behind mountains of garbage. The general result is this - I want to come back here, which we will probably do someday!
