Mykonos is a very pleasant city. Everything is also blue and white, but it is somehow commercial or something. Sleek. Expensive. Everything is 30 percent more expensive on average than in Santorini, although Santorini is not so cheap.
Mykonos is also a gay island. There are a lot of them. Or you just start to see a gay in every well-groomed man. From Russia, too, they say, they come here in batches. And yet - they say - there are many pilgrimage-holy places. It's strange, shrines and gays on the same island...
From Mykonos we went on a half-day excursion to the island of Delos. Well, this is for lovers of history, myths and ruins. Although, it's cool. And - oddly enough - although there was a large multilingual group - the guide was very charismatic and kept everything under control. Once Delos was an important island, almost the first and foremost. Now it has lost its meaning. People come here only with excursions.
But, back to the hotel. It was scary that he was on the mountain. And climb to it on a very steep road. Of course, you get used to it, and there are hotels even higher than ours. Not very convenient, and walking to the sea is far and steep. The beach is good, there are sunbeds. But because of the wind, there were few lying there, mostly by the pool. There is a jacuzzi, at least some variety, and not just lying like a seal getting fat.
The breakfast at the hotel is very good. They offer champagne and strawberry juice. Never ate dinner there. Chet didn't hit. We went to the city and the neighboring village. Nearby, if you go down, by the beach, there is a cafe, but the prices there - oddly enough - do not differ much from hotel prices.
By the way, there is a shuttle to the city from the hotel - very convenient, many used it.
Internet is free and throughout, and even without a password.
The room is very good. Upon arrival, a bottle of sweet wine with bread.
The spa is expensive, the toad strangled me, I never went down even once. In general, everything is somehow expensive in Mykonos, and there is already little money left by the end of the trip. And we got tired, we slept more and more and wallowed. There are few people in the hotel. And that happens to be great too.
