We rested with my husband and kids at the Sun Palace from Solvex-Tourne. To say that we had a great holiday is an understatement. We are all very satisfied! The hotel is wonderful - sure 4 stars. Large green area. Food is good. Didn't get bored in a week. The staff, as probably all Greeks - very attentive, but unobtrusive.

We rested with my husband and kids at the Sun Palace from Solvex-Tourne. To say that we had a great holiday is an understatement. We are all very satisfied! The hotel is wonderful - sure 4 stars. Large green area. Food is good. Didn't get bored in a week. The staff, as probably all Greeks - very attentive, but unobtrusive.
We settled in the Family-room - a spacious room, very comfortable with children.
A very interesting beach. To get to it you have to go through the lake-reserve. In summer, the lake dries up, but it is pleasant to walk through the green area. From the beach to the sea about 350 meters. We enjoyed walking after breakfast to the beach. We were warned that there are pebbles. But they expected the worst, and there was bulk sand on the shore and pebbles in the sea. My husband and I bought slippers, the boys swam like that.
We went on excursions through Solveks-Tourne. Were in the village of Zia in the mountains. It's amazing there! View from the mountains to the island, to the sea! I have never seen such beauty! We went to local shops and bought souvenirs. We took the boys to the Aquapark - also through Solvex. We were comfortably delivered to the place, and in the water park, as a family, we simply forgot about the time.
We went to the city of Kos on bicycles on our own. Have a wellness day. We drove comfortably along special bike paths, parked our bikes and went for a walk. We went to the fortress of the Knights of Malta, took pictures in front of the plane tree of Hippocrates, wandered through the excavations of the Agora, went to the market, bought tomato jam to surprise guests upon arrival, had lunch in a tavern. You will be in a Greek tavern - order grilled cheese! Mmmm! It's fantastic!
In general, our family had an excellent, relaxing vacation - what we need after hard working days. Didn't want to leave. Thank you so much Solvex for such a wonderful stay! By the way, there is an idea to go to Kos again next year.
