The Princess Of Kos is located on a beautiful beach in the northern part of Kos. The hotel is built in a traditional architectural style, surrounded by a wonderful garden of palm trees. Built in 1988-1991, renovated in 2006, Princess of Kos is built in Aegean architectural style and is surrounded by beautiful gardens with palm trees and colorful flowers. In addition, you can admire the view of the clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Suitable for a relaxing family holiday.More →

I must say right away that the hotel is more designed for families, or elderly couples, everything is done for Europeans, so do not be surprised at the complete absence of Russian speech in the hotel. So on the plus side, there are actually a lot more of them. There are also disadvantages, but it is worth considering the category and cost of the hotel, so they are simply not significant. So, from the island itself and the location. I advise you to plan trips around the island, preferably in a rented car, if with children, or bikes, if only adults. There are a lot of places of stunning beauty, so there is where to take a look and spend time with contemplation and benefit. Asklepion, Paradise Beach, not far from the hotel Aquapark, definitely Zia Park and Antimachia Castle. These are the places that really impressed us. The hotel itself is a little dated but everything is kept in very good condition. We rested with the child, but we must understand that there is no violent Turkish animation here, there is only a mini disco, just dancing to the music, but the child liked it. Our son is very homely, so he will dance with the children for several minutes, and he runs to us, there were no problems. There is also a playground with slides. But the food is great. Again, I don’t advise you to go with crumbs on baby food, but it’s very good with grown-up children. The hotel is all inclusive, with ice cream for several hours a day at two locations, snacks throughout the day, and drinks at impromptu self-service bars. It's the little things. Mostly food in two restaurants. The best tavern option. It is located closer to the beach, and outdoors. The choice of food is better and the view is great. There was enough meat, fish, grilled several times, a lot of vegetables, fruits. There are not many sweets, and this is also not bad, we try not to indulge the child, so the temptation is not great)). Alcohol is also self-service, but due to the fact that all tourists are Europeans, namely most Germans, there are simply no noisy companies or drunken youth, another plus for a relaxing family holiday. We chose this hotel for ourselves. The room was taken, too, the most common standard. The room has a double bed, and for a child one and a half, but completely full and comfortable. The room is ordinary, enough for three, but for more people it will be already crowded. The room has excellent Internet access, a TV, a telephone, a safe for free, a refrigerator, a hair dryer, in general, everything you need. Mini-bar on request for a fee. The furniture is a little worn, although not critical. We had the first floor, with our own terrace and chairs, comfortable. Cleaning is good, always clean linen and towels. To the beach 5 minutes, umbrellas and sun loungers are free. The entrance is gentle and sandy, sometimes small waves. Of the free entertainment and sports gym, table tennis, tennis courts 4 pieces, archery, darts, aqua aerobics. There are bicycle rentals, paid billiards and water activities. The hotel has two swimming pools, there is a children's pool. One large pool almost on the beach. All animation ends at 23:00, and then there is complete silence, so know that you can't get rowdy. We had a great rest with the whole family, which we wish everyone.

The island is magical, small and close to everything. The first time we went around the island by bus, but then we decided to take a car, it turned out much more convenient and interesting. On the advice, we took a car at Avtobank, the car rental is located to the left of the hotel a few meters away. This pleasure cost us 100 euros for 3 days. Were on the beach in Mastichari, Peacocks were fed in the reserve, the stunning volcano island of Nisyros, in the village of Zia there is an old aqueduct and a church with a unique Greek atmosphere, the Asklepion temple complex, the Antimahiko Spiti exposition with a beautiful windmill opposite, the former capital of the island of Kefalos. We also bought local almonds - they taste just wonderful! All the places we have visited and can not be counted, so feel free to take a car and hit the road! Now about the hotel itself. The place is very cozy, cleanliness everywhere is almost perfect. Our room was on the ground floor which was very convenient. Everything is nearby: sea, restaurant, reception. A minimum knowledge of English, of course, will not hurt, but even if you do not have one, all your requests will still be fulfilled without problems. The room was cleaned daily and very carefully. Gels, balms, shampoos were always available. Bed linen and towels are always in perfect condition. My husband and I met such a service in few places, although we traveled in our lives. She promised to write how we got to Kos. A few words about food and restaurants. No queues and very friendly staff were an added bonus. There was always a good selection of ripe fruits: pears, apples, kiwis, watermelons, melons, peaches. Several types of meat: chicken, beef, lamb, rabbit meat. A large number of different vegetables, cuts, salads, olives and black olives. Well, how about without a Greek salad))). Sweet table, although not very rich, but everything is insanely delicious. By the way alcohol of good quality, and in the form of self-service. You can come to the bar yourself, several types of different drinks, mix cocktails at will and enjoy at least the whole day. And finally, about the territory itself and the beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach for free. The entrance to the sea is sandy and gentle. In rather hot weather, the sea is very pleasant and does not feel like hot soup. There was practically no algae, the beach was constantly cleaned. Several times there were quite big waves, but this did not spoil the impression of the sea at all, but rather it even became a pleasant surprise. On the territory of two swimming pools with pleasant warm water. Every day there was animation for children and exercises for adults by the pool. The hotel is rather intended for a pleasant quiet holiday, not for violent gatherings of young people. After a trip to Kos, we just fell ill with Greece! We will definitely come back again and again to this hotel!

Green hotel with banana palms, vines near the tavern, eucalyptus alley to the sea, various palm trees and flowers. The food was beyond praise (the hotel was almost all populated). Very tasty and varied. The chef is Greek and spoiled with local cuisine. You pour alcohol for yourself and its quality and variety are better than in 5 stars in Egypt and 4 stars in Turkey. We were very lucky and there was no "tagil rules". We rented a car near the hotel (it is more expensive through a guide) and rode around the island (approximately 40 km by 70 km), so it will not be difficult to get around it along the calm roads of the island. Be sure to visit the capital-port of Kos, the soul and body rested sitting on the embankment to see the Turkish coast with its buildings. The evening sun illuminates the city in a special way. Be sure to drive to Kefalos, the views of the mountain, the bay, and even better from the mountain, enchant. Be sure to visit the thermal spring - such a unity of people from different countries and religions on a narrow piece of land inspires hope that ordinary people will always understand each other if they want to. The north of the island is 25 km of sandy beaches and a sandy entrance to the water. The south of the island is stone slabs and you can’t enter the water without special shoes, it also applies to the western and eastern parts of the island. We are very pleased that we ended up in a hotel where everyone smiles at you as a good friend, the staff speaks Russian (special thanks to Maria at the reception who helped with orientation and told a little about the island). If you want to swim in the sea and get drunk on positive and peacefulness, then the island of Kos is waiting for you to visit. If it works out, we will definitely come to the island again and to this hotel.

As well as the satellite of Kos, the island of Nisyros. This time, completely unpredictable, we (2 adults, 2 children 3.8 and 6.8) were brought to the Greek island of Kos. The decision to go, the opportunity to break away from worries and the availability of a suitable tour converged at one point. I was attracted by a relatively loyal price and the possibility of accommodating 2 + 2. Well, and, probably, the craving for the islands. The Transaero flight went completely without problems, took off almost on the clock, 3.5 hours and we are on Kos. Compared to previous flights of 8-10 hours, this one seemed like a cakewalk. When approaching, the Aegean Sea met unfriendly waves, a semi-stormy state, a gusty wind tore the seagulls from a calm gliding, forcing them to furiously work their wings. We passed the airport rather quickly, climbed into the bus and in 30 minutes we were in the Princesses of Kos. The hotel is located on the northern coast of the island, near the village of Matsuhari. The hotel proudly wears 4 stars, which is clearly a self-proclaimed declaration of its own greatness, well, the owner of the hotel wanted to have 4 stars, so he painted on the curtains in the bathroom, well, and somewhere else so that they would not immediately notice. All around it's a solid 3, Greek. We have been in triples, which are solid 5 compared to this hotel. True, not in Greece. Vapshche with this stardom, the devil himself will not understand, in all countries there are some kind of quirks and conventions. In my opinion, you can not bother yourself with this head. There is only one criterion - like it, don't like it. The hotel is located perpendicular to the coast, from fence to fence no more than 150 meters (or maybe less) and 350 meters long, a sort of sausage. From the entrance gate to the reception, 100 meters. Further: residential rooms in three rows, to the very beach. The rooms are clean, glued with new wallpaper, the furniture is not broken, the plumbing is in order, the air conditioners are in good order. There is no safe. Small TV 14'. There is one Russian channel. The bed is one large, respectively, and the mattress, move it apart, if something does not work out. The view of the sea is present only from the extreme building, where the family rooms are located, and then the side and from the 2-4 floors. (numbers 62. . , 63. . 64. . ). The rooms of the room are quite comfortable, there is a refrigerator, a kitchenette with a stove and a set of dishes (cups, plates, spoons, a pot, a frying pan), the room is divided by a partition into two zones, one has two beds, the other one has a large one. Balcony with a table, chairs and a normal dryer. They don’t put any water in the room, cleaning on the tops - century-old dust under the beds. Mini-disco starts at 9 pm, for children, animators dance standard dances, hold some kind of competitions, lotteries - mostly in German, sometimes dubbed in English. The audience in the hotel is mostly German-speaking, many of our immigrants, very few English, Dutch, Danes and other European living creatures. The territory of the hotel is small, with attempts at landscaping, you can’t call it bald, but green too. Miserable lawn grass, palm trees, in some places some kind of climbing plants, shrubs along the paths. In general, the impression of the territory is simply no. To the left and right of the hotel there is no man's land, strips of 250 meters wide, where cows graze, then the fence of another hotel. There are two swimming pools, one at the reception and restaurants. Another is almost close to the beach, right next to the building with family rooms. Both pools are small, not for swimming, but rather for splashing in the water, although the depth reaches 2.5 meters. There are pools for kids 50 cm deep, 10 squares in area, a jacuzzi, which is activated on a schedule, once or twice a day for half an hour. Sun loungers around the pools are free. There are also bars where up to 18 you can eat sandwiches, hot dogs, drink coffee, any fanta-pepsi and, of course, if you wish, get drunk to the point of intoxication with strong drinks (vodka, gin, brandy, ousi) with some kind of local spill tinctures Well, white wine, red wine and beer. Around the clock, all these joys are available in the bar at the reception. It should be noted that drinking water in the public domain is rather nasty in taste, both with and without gas. The proposed juices are soluble rubbish. Children tried not to give. Along with this, there is a lot of things for a fee. . Ice cream, imported alcohol, chips, something else... The main dining of guests takes place three times a day, either in a restaurant or in an open tavern. The menu is the same, the difference is in the entourage, so a few more details about the main food: Breakfast from 7.30 to 10. Standard and not changing, scrambled eggs, all sorts of omelettes, sausages, sausages. Quite edible sausage and cheese. Fried tomatoes, pudding, sometimes milk porridge, yogurt, very good dried fruits and candied fruits, cereals, milk, tea, coffee, cocoa. Jams. Jam. No pleasure - a morning snack, and nothing more Without from 13 to 15 No soup. Meat-chicken, fish, french fries, sometimes stewed vegetables, almost always pasta with sauces and grated cheese. Black olives, chopped vegetables, and a ready-made Greek salad. Any tea and coffee. Fruits, watermelon, melon. Dinner from 19 to 22 Practically repeats lunch. Sometimes there is seafood. Again, sometimes, something like the dish of the day at the distribution. Roast pork, sometimes lamb. Some kind of soup. Pureed, often pea, quite tasty. . AND THE MOST INCOMPLETE THING IS NO TEA FOR DINNER. Or at least a thermos of hot water. . Only coffee and cold drinks. At any time in the canteen there are vending machines with drinks, all sorts of forfeit-Pepsi, there is beer and wine - red and white. They cook not tasty, which is not typical for the Greeks, rather the principle works - “it is paid, it must be swallowed”. Rarely has a meal been satisfying, and there has been a desire to go for a supplement. Even their national dish "Moussaka" managed to cook extremely disgusting. But the sweet is delicious, always fresh, all sorts of cakes, pastries, mousses, jelly and others like them. Beach and sea. The beach is common, not fenced, 100 meters long and up to 30-40 meters wide, coarse sand, several rows of sun loungers with umbrellas. For using them by the sea, they collect from workers 5 euros a day. They give you a check and you can come and go. I have never seen that the beach was cleaned, or at least someone did something in the sea and on the sand. Sometimes they left things on sunbeds, by the sea, and went to the pool, or to eat. Nothing was missing. In the strip of eternal surf, pebbles, flat pebbles, entry into the sea and exit, may not be comfortable due to this. The depth starts at just 25-35 meters, you can move away from the coast to the waist, then to the chest. Children are comfortable. There are fragments of algae in the sea, not that much and critical, the water is muddy and not transparent, but warm. But the Aegean Sea itself does not allow you to relax. Waves are present almost constantly, quite unbearable wind often blows and noticeably stormy. (Those who were in Crete, on the North Shore, were probably not enthusiastic about the sea - which, for some reason, is called Cretan there. You can enter the sea only a couple of times in two weeks. - it’s a little better here) However, the beach near the hotel is considered to be very good and the water is warm. On the southern coast of the island, the beaches are mostly pebbly, or completely stone, the water is clean and clear, BUT it is noticeably colder, in July, in the sun, it warms up only by 3 in the afternoon. We chose the hotel exactly on the beach, so that there was sand and sandy entry into the sea, we refused some hotels on the south coast, obviously better than the “princess”, but with pebble beaches, and I don’t have the feeling that I made a mistake in choosing. The hotel is very suitable for staying in it with children, everything is nearby, and pools and playgrounds, you do not have to strain to keep a trifle in sight. Near the hotel there are two mini supermarkets with a sufficient selection of all sorts of important little things... swimming trunks, swimwear, sun cream, glasses, caps, shorts, etc. , etc. Well, some kind of food and water. There is also a bus stop, you can get to the capital in about 20-30 minutes, the schedule is at the reception. By the way, there is a Russian-speaking employee at the reception, Denis in my opinion. . Etc. Nisyros island. This island is a satellite of Kos. Like Malta and Gozo, like Crete and Santorini. There is a legend according to which Poseidon cut off a piece from Kos with his trident and threw it at the rebellious Titan - this is how Nisyros turned out. It takes about 50 minutes to sail to it by boat. Boats ply from the port at 10 departure to 15 return. Nisyros, this is a volcanic island, there is a living, active volcano, you can drive up the caldera to the hydrothermal crater of the volcano, go down into it, and stay in a real volcano vent! Poisoning with hydrogen sulfide. The ground underfoot is hot and springy with steps. puddles of boiling mud, crystals of native sulfur. This is the only volcano, unique in the world, with geological and volcanic layers preserved and accessible for study. I can’t say that it’s very interesting, but it’s clearly worth a visit... The island itself does not stand out for anything remarkable. Mountainous and bald. There are no views and beautiful panoramas. Well, perhaps, a panorama of the volcano caldera from a mountain road. And, to be honest, far-fetched. In the port you can rent a motorbike or a car. This is if you decide to come by boat on your own and see the volcano. In general, that Kos, that Nisyros are bald, practically devoid of vegetation pieces of land in the sea. Anyone who writes that Kos is a garden island, you can first safely spit in shameless eyes, and then recommend visiting Kerkyra. (Corfu) (I'm already silent about other islands - gardens in the world, Hawaii for example) The Greeks themselves say - paradise in Greece on Corfu. It is a pity that this summer it burns like a torch - a beautiful place is dying, the unique microclimate is irrevocably changing. So don't expect something out of the ordinary from Kos. . . An ordinary Greek bald island, where, by and large, there is absolutely nothing to do. Day to go to the capital, visit the remains of the castle of the Order of Ionites. Take a little walk. Well, you can go to the thermal springs, where a piece of the sea is fenced with stones, there is an exit of thermal water into the sea, and it is naturally hot. A sort of natural Jacuzzi. It has a healing effect on all kinds of radiculitis-chondrosis. Car rental on the island. Upon arrival, the guides will tell you a standard horror story about independent contacts with the native population. About the dangers that lie in wait for naive tourists during independent excursions and car rentals. These are standard tales from the crypt, which have to be listened to solely out of respect for people. Guides from the Millennium, very responsive and friendly guys, honestly doing their job, do not consider clients like wallets with legs, which you definitely need to climb into, they are not imposed, but they also try not to miss their own. So, car rental starts from 65 euros per day, (type deu matiz) something more decent 80-90 euros. Which in my opinion is not at all normal. . And near the hotel for all rolling prices are exactly the same. We take a taxi and for 9-10 euros we go to Matsuhari. There we rent a car for 35-40 euros, with its delivery near the hotel reception, by agreement. Rights as such are of no interest to anyone. . What are there? International? Russian? Martian? BUT . . OK. . OK. . Drive most importantly carefully. We begin to ride around the island. The roads are good and there are few cars. After a day of skiing, we understand that there is nowhere to go, there is absolutely nothing to see, another day we come up with all sorts of routes ourselves, mainly along the beaches, then the car is needed exclusively for trips to Paradise Beach (a taxi back and forth will cost 50 euros). This is if there are waves and wind on your beach. Paradise is located on the south coast and is considered the best beach on the island. Um. Seeing this "best" beach, a completely logical question arises - what then are the rest ? . Sunbeds with umbrellas there 7 euros. The beach is being cleared! Sand both in the sea and on the shore, a bay, there are practically no waves, the water is very clean, but it’s very cool, we arrived there by 10 in the morning, there were practically no people, we went into the sea and got out in goosebumps in minutes. The sea warmed up more or less only in the late afternoon. In general, I liked it on the beach, you can eat and drink, ice cream is sold, there is a children's water park a little further away, all sorts of inflatable fun on the water for 4 euros from the nose. Yes, water park. Near the hotel, about 1 km along the road is the Water Park. The cost of visiting for a day, adults - 17 euros. Children over 4 years old 13 euros. Inside there is a zone for kids, with slides, waterfalls, climbing walls. Several pools, including waves. The waves are pretty strong. You can easily swallow several liters of chlorinated water. Large slides are not very impressive. Who was in other aqua, at least in Antalya will be a little disappointed. Grown children are allowed on these slides either by height - above 130 cm. Or at the reception you write a receipt in a standard form, and they are given a bracelet on their hand. Tada watchers on the slides don't mind. Whatever it is, it's pretty fun, and it's quite possible to spend a day there. There is something like a zoo, you can walk around and see. Well, that's all, on the Internet I did not find information that suits me either on the island or on the hotel, maybe it will be useful to someone. To be honest, reviews like “everything is super, I liked it very much, Just a fairy tale! Greece Foreva! Island - Garden ”, etc. , one often really wants to put in one place the sellers of tours who write them and other vitally interested citizens. It would be better if they didn’t write anything at all than any nonsense about cornflowers, discos, anxious animators and the like three-line rubbish that does not carry any semantic load. In my opinion, there is a simple beach holiday on the island, without pretensions, at the level of a European hegemon, do not expect increased attention to your person, I got the impression that all these vacationers with their Eurekas are flat-parallel to the local population. The maximum period of "rest" on the island is 10 days, it is difficult to endure more without the participation of an alcohol bar. For comparison, I can say that we lived in Corfu with the children for quite a long time, only 15 days we rode around the island by car, and did not get tired of admiring the views, beaches, beauties, monuments and the island as a whole. And the Ionian Sea is just a fairy tale. I would like to live there. The Aegean Sea did not stand nearby. So the desire to come to Kos again can appear only as a result of an extremely profitable, budget proposal, and then no more than 8-10 days. The photographs on the Internet give a fairly accurate picture of the island and the hotel, as well as of Nesyros. A little later, I'll upload a photo to the radical and attach a link. I beg your pardon for a somewhat "telegraphic" syllable, it is always not easy to express impressions, and even more so to make them as informative and accessible as possible. There will be questions write. pumka2405330 gaff gaff gmail. com. All the best. Petr.

This time, completely unpredictable, we (2 adults, 2 children 3.8 and 6.8) were brought to the Greek island of Kos. Any tea and coffee. Fruits, watermelon, melon.
Dinner from 19 to 22
Almost the same as lunch. Only coffee and cold drinks.
At any time in the canteen there are vending machines with drinks, all sorts of forfeit-Pepsi, there is beer and wine - red and white.
Near the hotel there are two mini supermarkets with a sufficient selection of all sorts of important little things ...swimming trunks, swimwear, sunscreen, glasses, caps, shorts, etc. etc.
Well, some food and water.
I can’t say that it’s very interesting, but it’s clearly worth a visit ...The island itself does not stand out for anything remarkable.
It is a pity that this summer it burns like a torch - the most beautiful place is dying, the unique microclimate is irretrievably changing. So don't expect something out of the ordinary from Kos...An ordinary Greek bald island, where, by and large, there is absolutely nothing to do. Day to go to the capital, visit the remains of the castle of the Order of Ionites. Take a little walk.
And near the hotel for all rolling prices are exactly the same. We take a taxi and for 9-10 euros we go to Matsuhari. We rent a car there for 35-40 euros, with its delivery near the hotel reception, by agreement. Rights as such are of no interest to anyone. . What are there? International? Russian? Martian? BUT . . well. . well. Um. Seeing this "best" beach, a completely natural question arises - what then are the rest?
Tada looking at the slides have nothing against it.
Island - Garden ", etc. , often really want to put in one place the sellers of tours who write them and other vitally interested citizens. It would be better if they didn’t write anything at all than any nonsense about cornflowers, discos, anxious animators and the like three-line rubbish that does not carry any semantic load.
In my opinion, there is a simple beach holiday on the island, without pretensions, at the level of the European hegemon, do not expect increased attention to your person, I got the impression that all these vacationers with their Eurekas are flat-parallel to the local population.
All the best. Petr.

Our things were taken to the room (as it turned out later) by one of the animators. We are very lucky, because tourists were just coming to the hotel, and we were among the first, so we got a room in a building overlooking the sea.
True, the sea during this period is cold, the water was +18, the air was +24 (at the end of our vacation, the temperature began to rise to +30), and there was a breeze. The room was clean, comfortable, air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, hair dryer, wardrobe, cabinets, dressing table. They cleaned it every day. We also liked the food very much. there were few tourists in the hotel, the chef apparently tried very hard: there was beef, chicken, turkey, rabbit, lamb, fish, cheeses: with mold (tipo dor blue and camembert), their famous sheep (feta) and there was even goat cheese ! True, a week later, when the hotel began to be actively filled with tourists, only sheep's cheese (feta) remained. There were also a lot of things for garnish: pasta, potatoes, rice, vegetables, eggplant, etc. They drank rum and cola from alcohol, very sincerely =) There were no Russians at all in the hotel, mostly Germans, there were British, Czechs, Swiss. We had a 100% rest from Russian speech and practiced in English. The animations were both in German and English. Discos were only on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the 2nd floor, above the restaurant. Near the hotel there was a tavern where you could go to spend time in the evening. We took a quad bike (45 euros a day), drove around half the island for sure. We went to the city of Kos, to the plane tree of Hipokrates, to Asklepion, to the village of Zia, there we visited the OROMEDON tavern with delicious Moussaka, to the thermal waters beyond the city of Kos, even from the village of Zia we drove to Kardamena, and back to the hotel. After that we went to about. Nisyros (excursion was 40 euros), on about. Rhodes (60 euros), and even went to Bodrum (excursion to Turkey for 40 euros). We took a Kia Picanto car (50 euros per day) drove to the forest where peacocks walk, drove to a black sand beach (not far from the village of Mastichari), to the Paradise Bitch beach, to the Antimachia fortress (I think I wrote it right). And in the evening we went to Kardamena, because. this is the most party place, BUT there were no open night clubs (maybe it was not yet the season), but a sea of taverns where music was screaming and the Greeks were sitting on ottomans, ate and drank on sofas. A lot of English people live in Kardamena, they come off to the fullest (drinking parties, fights, etc. ), but we were lucky and we met only positive-minded tourists.
In general, we had a 100% rest, a lot of impressions, acquaintances, and practice in English is very good!
