Our vacation was family - me with my husband and daughter 13 years old! It's nice that by age my girl still fell into the category of "child", which significantly influenced the price (although in many other hotels from the age of 12 it is no longer a child). We rested for 8 days, 7 nights, it seemed to us that this was enough. We arrived at 18.40, went through passport control quite quickly, BUT we had to wait 1.5-2 hours for all the other arrivals in the bus, because. the host side Beleon Tour fills the bus waiting for tourists arriving from other flights (this is one minus). We arrived quickly. Upon arrival at 20.30, there were 30 minutes left before the end of dinner. At the reception, we were offered to leave our things and go to dinner while we were being checked out. After dinner, we took the keys, documents, luggage and went by electric car to our room. On the territory of the hotel there are bungalows on 2 or 3 floors. We were located on the second floor near the pool. The room is ok, nothing special to say. Cleaning every day, bed linen and towels changed. There was only liquid soap in the bathroom (once it was half full), but we were ready and took everything with us, although you can buy it in the mini market. Now, the important thing that I would like to pay attention to is that the next day when meeting with the guide, do not rush to buy everything at once (excursions, rent a car). Always and everywhere hotel guides sell 1.5-2 times more expensive. For example, car rental in a hotel is at least 65 Euros (matiz), outside the hotel area 200-300m in AutoBank we took a nissan micra for 45 Euros (in a hotel about 80 Euros), their gasoline costs somewhere around 1.85 Euros. The island is small, only 45 km, if you wish, you can drive around all the sights in a day by car: a thermal spring, the capital of Kos, Asklepion, the village of Zia, the beaches of the island, etc.
If you have any questions, I will try to answer them.
The hotel is very suitable for a family holiday, the territory is large, a couple of pools, sunbeds were enough for everyone. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the sea from distant buildings.
Loved the beach! It's empty on both sides! Wherever you want, there and sunbathe.
For entertainment... In the evening it's boring for young people, there is live music in the bar, animation is good by the large pool, but it is not designed for Russians.
P. S. : we flew through the tour operator BIBLIOGLOBUS. Super!! ! The guide's name was Marianna. She told me everything, showed me, did not impose any excursions. I immediately said, if you rent a car - wait. She gave me a map of the island and drew with a pen what and where to visit. When questions arose, they immediately called her, she never refused to help.
My husband and I chose a hotel for a long time, where to relax...
For the price, Gaia Royal 4 * came up to us.
06/12/13 at the airport. Hippocrates, we were met by the guide Vasily from the tour company Belion Tour. On the way to the hotel, he told us about the island and resorts)) At the airport, we were all given an envelope, which included a booklet about Greece and the cost of excursions.
It took 20-25 minutes from the airport to our hotel.
The receptionist met us at the hotel, spoke to us in English, only a few speak Russian. We know English at the school level, but we found a common language.
Room: see photo))) There is a balcony overlooking the pool)
Meals: fed deliciously) every day several types of meat. There was definitely chicken, then legs in a different sauce, then chicken roll (very tasty). There was also pork and fish.
In the morning, two types of omelet and fried eggs, yogurt, milk, musli... They make a very tasty cream like ice cream, but it does not melt and is not cold) several types of pasta, french fries, stewed potatoes... there was always a Greek salad , or you could assemble the salad yourself... vegetables were cut in large plates, cheese on a tray and olive oil)) From the sweet there were always cakes with honey, puffs, watermelons, melons, apples, oranges.
Drinks: locally produced beer, ouzo vodka (aniseed vodka), red and white wine, cola, sprite, fanta, mineral water. . . juice for children.
Beach: walk 10 minutes from the reception to the beach. The beach is VERY long)) Near the exit there are sun loungers and umbrellas, and then an empty beach. 2 sun loungers and an umbrella cost 5 euros. Very beautiful sea)) went into the sea for 25 meters from the shore, not deep.
Guide from the hotel: Marianna told about the hotel, asked if there were any problems with the rooms, told about excursions and how to get to the city of Kos. Answered all questions.
We went on an excursion to the village of Zia and a Greek evening. Everyone enjoyed the evening very much. Real Greek actors danced, fed with national cuisine))
We went to the city of Kos. The fare costs 2.90 euros. The bus stop is a 20-minute walk from the hotel. In the city, the bus stops almost in the center. The city is very beautiful. Not far from the bus stop is Freedom Square. There is a church of St. Paraskeva and a Turkish church on this square. Behind the square is a port, behind the port is a fortress. Everything is nearby. There are a lot of shops with souvenirs in the center, almost everyone speaks Russian, there are sellers from Ukraine.
Hotel infrastructure: 3 swimming pools, aviary with swans, roe deer, birds and parrots. Two pools have a children's section, 40 cm each. And one pool is completely for children from 40 to 70 cm. There are slides and fantines. Very nice. The hotel area is very green, there are pomegranate trees, apricots, olives, many palm trees)) I really liked that the houses, which are a little further from the beach, are arranged in a circle around three pools)
There is a Mini Market on the territory of the hotel. In it you can buy water (1.5 l of water = 0.8 euros), a swimsuit, circles for children, mattresses, food, clothes, souvenirs)
In general, we liked everything) I would love to come to this hotel again)))
If you have any questions, write)) I will answer with pleasure)
