When we, two girls a little over 30, were choosing a place to go on vacation, focusing on the reviews of only the tripper, there was nothing else. We were looking for a budget option. Stopped at Citi Live Hotel 3 * due to the fact that 1. Near the sea (across the road) 2. Near the city center. 3. Great price - $ 840 for 2.11 days, with breakfast.
Departure from Zhulyany was first postponed from 6 am to 2 pm, and then delayed for almost 2 hours. After arrival, waiting for tourists who were "lost" for almost 2 hours. In the end, the day was gone. We went out first. Really - yes, the hotel is a 5-minute walk from the city center, on the waterfront. Settled without money, immediately, with a beautiful sea view, although we had a "city view".
Number. Positive qualities: clean, with individual air conditioning, the situation - in a modern style, tea and coffee set (not replenished). Disadvantages: VERY small shower.
We are both 160 cm tall, it is pointless to use the curtain, because it does not reach the floor and a VERY, very small pallet, as for me 55x55 cm, not to make the lake after taking a shower - is unrealistic. Eternal problems with the tank, applied to the reception - sent a plumber, but the problem was solved temporarily, but we as real Ukrainian women managed to solve the problem ourselves . It's the same with the faucet - you just had to put the gasket in place . Free WiFi - like all over the city. Just get the password at the reception. In general, the staff is nice and responsive. If necessary, we turned to them - there was always information support, we responded quickly to requests.
Breakfasts. Standard MAXIMUM set: boiled eggs, muesli, cold milk, sausage, ham, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, portion jams, sour cream mixed with cheese, bread and rolls, croissants and sweet pastries (tasteless). Cold drinks - yuppie, tea / coffee are delivered by waitresses.
The problem is that something is missing in this meager set. Butter - replaced with margarine, cheese was not 3 days, at the end of the olives (! ) Disappeared. We even came up with a game to guess that today will be lost . There was one positive for us - we were glad that we did not take half board. Tip for thinkers: do not take HB. A la carte dinner from the menu - more like fast food. With as many and varied restaurants as Kos, it will be offensive to eat fries, pasta and burgers.
Beach. The nearest - to the left of the exit, not far, but not 100 m. Poverty in the form of a dozen sunbeds by the road, worth 6 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. We came up with another option. Almost all coastal cafes display their sunbeds - free, the only thing - all your orders for drinks and food - through them. But, agree, it is more pleasant to take a couple of fresh juices or cocktails, rather than stupidly pay for renting a deck chair.
So - I liked the location of the beach and the entrance to the sea - see "FREE SUNBEDS" or he called you to tell you that it's free - feel free to go. We changed a couple of beaches, and then chose one where we liked the contingent and food of the beach tavern. A large number of topless grandmothers surprised, unpleasant. So many spaniel ears have not been seen for a long time.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION. The beaches are located opposite the center and the hotel. It has already become a pleasant tradition for us to walk in the morning from the hotel through the city center with a stop for the most delicious donuts, cold coffee, smoothies or fruit sorbet. With such stops we could barely get to the beach until 11 o'clock. By the way, in the central square my uncle had a lot of fruit sorbet. We tried lemon, mandarin, raspberry, mango. The cost is 1.5 euros per ball and no blows to the figure . In general, the city is VERY beautiful! Walking it is a real pleasure.
You can travel on both large and moped - rental locations - many, as well as cars, bike paths - along the coast.
RESTAURANTS. Lunch / dinner for two with 0.5 eggplant wine - from 20 to 30 euros for two. Portions are large. Salads have always been divided into two. Once they ordered a Greek menu for two - the cost of 11 euros - ate. Fruit - the same prices as ours, only cherries were almost 5 euros per kg.
In general, we enjoyed the holiday with plenty of walks, positive vacationers and people living in the city, shopping, climate at this time of summer and atmosphere. By the way, the quality of rest was significantly affected by good knowledge of English. According to my personal observation, the residents of the city and the staff with whom I had to communicate, in general, do not speak Russian, in this regard, the Slavs may have some inconvenience ...Would I come back again? To the city - yes, to the hotel - for a penny only.
