I wanted to go to Corfu for a long time and seriously, but somehow everyone chose other directions. This summer, while most European countries were closed to ordinary tourists, Greece became a priority and the choice fell on the greenest Greek island. One of the significant factors was the good price offer of the Mayor Capo Di Corfu hotel. with quality mid-range hotels in Corfu, there is indeed a complete discrepancy between the price and the quality of services offered. Both adults and the child were satisfied with the rest, then I will try to note the main advantages of the hotel and shortcomings in the work, but not as disadvantages, but as an opportunity to become better next year.
So, thanks to our glorious airline Roza Vetrov, the charter flew from the Dnieper to Corfu 5 hours later than the schedule, as a result, we got to the hotel around midnight, although we planned to have time for dinner. At the reception, the check-in passed in the form of self-filling the online form on the phone, quite quickly and conveniently. Next, a basket of sandwiches for a snack was offered, it seems that you need to say thank you, but in decent hotels of this level, those who are late for dinner are waiting for at least fruit and something more edible in the room. On a typewriter, they brought luggage to our building, lifted 3 suitcases to the second floor on their own, did not overstrain, but help would not be superfluous...

In my opinion, this is the best possible location in the hotel and the most beautiful view of the sunrise from a standard room, for which the hotel can be forgiven for all the shortcomings. In the room: a large bed, 2 armchairs as extra places for children, a work table and a coffee table, a washbasin in front of the entrance to the bathroom and a small toilet itself, quite a decent air conditioner. A set of tea and coffee, daily replenishment of 1.5 liters of water per person. Huge balcony with dryer, table and two chairs. A full wet cleaning was once a week, the bed was not changed, towels were changed every other day, the garbage was taken out daily and thanks for that. We noted these points in the cleaning assessment questionnaire, I hope the administration will pay attention. As well as the fact that on the penultimate day of rest, not a can of shampoo or shower gel was added, not a drop of soap for washing hands, and the dispenser in the shower remained empty all the time. But they noticed and independently, without any calls to the reception, paid attention and eliminated the malfunction of the door to the balcony.

The territory of the hotel is green, everything is well-groomed, beautiful smooth paths, which is very suitable, and we noticed that due to the flat terrain there are a lot of vacationers with problems of the musculoskeletal system.
The beach also has a gentle shallow entry into the sea, so the water is always warm. There were always enough sunbeds and umbrellas, towels were changed daily without any problems. But the sun loungers at the relax pool under our windows are a real shortage. Exactly at dawn, out of nowhere, aunts with 4-6 towels appear and clog almost everything around, they just had to compete with them))) Relax pool without animation, great for a relaxing swim with children. And it is worth noting that it even has a ramp with handrails for a gently sloping check-in for guests with disabilities in wheelchairs. The main pool is noisier and less cozy. Yes, and the third - with two children's slides, the child rode there once, and after a trip to the water park, he did not appear there again. By the way, the hotel can also help with car rental, but it is better to plan and negotiate with car rental companies in advance. We dashed off 270 km in 2 days, in fact, having passed the entire island twice. There is something to see, but this does not apply to the merits of the hotel. The southernmost location of the hotel may scare away many, but it was specifically interesting for us to live away from the main island hype and travel more due to this.
Before the rest, the negative reviews on food at the hotel were very straining. As I thought, it turned out to be quibbles of stray foie gras lovers. Breakfast in the main restaurant from 7 a. m. to 11 a. m. Omelet, eggs of all kinds, sausages, mushrooms and bacon, various vegetables, muesli and fresh pastries - what else do you need? The only thing in short supply was the smoked salmon dish, which was emptied in 10 minutes and renewed once an hour. Separately, I will say that for breakfast and dinner there is an excellent selection of fruits: sweet watermelon, peaches and nectarines, bananas, kiwi, apples and pears, plums, plus there were canned ones separately. The waiters left a good impression, the service is not intrusive, they did their best. They quickly prepared the table after the previous eaters, offered drinks and then dissolved. At dinner, it was also somewhere, only sometimes, even outside peak times, you had to wait up to half an hour for a free table on the street terrace, you could always find a free table inside. In terms of hygiene, in several places at the entrance there are sanitizers with masks and disposable gloves for a free set of food. Now for dinner. Every evening, at least three types of meat (in addition to chicken, pork and beef, there was rabbit, lamb, various kebabs and meatballs, turkey), fish fillet and whole grill, side dishes and vegetables also for every taste. Good desserts and 6-7 types of ice cream. There is a children's table, as in the photo. In general, everything is of high quality and varied. For a week there was one gala evening with an abundance of seafood. They added delicious mussels in a creamy sauce, octopus, tuna, something else delicious and huge king prawns, which were a total disappointment. The fact is that the hotel did not regret buying quality products, but they did not bother to put the appropriate cook for them, as a result, the shrimp were just rubber, dry and without any sauce, they choked, but ate))).
One evening we decided to use the option of a free tennis court and equipment rental. In the morning I found responsible animators who wrote down a reserve for a while and promised to leave rackets and balls in a conditional place. What a surprise it was when the court was free for us, but there was nothing to play with. I had to storm the closed cabinet of these animators and, with the support of the bartenders, still get rackets and balls. The animators themselves conducted some programs of water dancing, aerobics, yoga, etc. , but without our participation. In the evenings, children's discos, mini concerts with live music and, of course, karaoke were held by the central pool. The fact that the hotel mainly rests the French, Germans and British, as a matter of course. There is also a small indoor pavilion near the central pool, where you can play air hockey, billiards and table tennis for a reasonable price of 1-2 euros.

For the evening leisure of families, it is also important to have a playground, it turned out to be very full-fledged, where all the children frolicked with pleasure, only vacationers who were in the neighborhood received little of it.
Near the hotel there are small villages of Kavos and Lefkimi, which it makes sense to look into for the sake of common interest, but without a taxi car for 6-10 euros one way it makes no sense to ride, all souvenirs, water, juices, wine, oil, etc. can be bought in a shop behind the hotel, 20 meters from the playground, behind the parking lot. There is also an ATM there. Once we managed to drive to supermarkets on the way to the hotel. Of all the worthy only SYNKA, lidl and one more none. When we went again, we were faced with the fact that on Sundays all supermarkets are closed; the car was only for 2 days, then thoroughly and did not skimp. But the shop behind the hotel is happy to see customers every day until 23:00.
In the hotel you can upgrade to all inclusive for 25 euros per adult per day, but it was also uninteresting to dine at the hotel as well as drink their incomprehensible drinks. There is a tavern near the end of the beach, but the meals there are mediocre for a fairly high budget. For two times we tried everything that looked interesting there and then dined in other places. I especially remember the Agali tavern in Lefkimi, a plate of seafood for 2 for 32 euros, plus a children's portion and delicious homemade wine, as a result, at the price of a hotel upgrade, but incomparable level of service, color and maximum gastronomic pleasure.

The first was a request for a lunch box in view of an early check-out, which was refused with the clarification that you could take pastries and sandwiches on the road, in fact in the morning there were only dry muffins near the reception, and the employees just shrugged. Setting up on the face, they could easily make sandwiches at dinner themselves. Saved Burger King at the airport. The second was a request for help with the collection of luggage from the room at a certain time, to which an affirmative answer was received. In fact, no one arrived at the agreed time, and there was not even an info sheet with the reception number near the telephone in the room to remind us of ourselves, as a result, we had to shove suitcases well-filled with purchases through the entire hotel on our own.
