It took us a long time to choose a hotel. The travel agency offers "tested horses", but the number of rooms is all old. And then from the reviews we learn about the completely "fresh" Grand Mediterraneo built two years ago. Located in Ermones, relatively close to the capital of the island of Kerkyra, on a mountainside. The originality of the hotel lies in the fact that it was built according to the cascade principle and the lines of rooms are located on their own level. There is a funicular from the beach to the main building at the top. Tour operator Pantheon. No complaints. We were pleasantly surprised by the previously unknown air carrier Nordstar. Departure and return went without delay. Yes, and in general, the airline, in my memory, did not "shine" anywhere on the subject of flight delays.
We had half board. One feature - for dinner you have to pay for drinks. The range of dishes in the main restaurant did not strike the imagination: the same with slight changes. Speaking of restaurants, there is a White Pearl restaurant downstairs, the menu is meager and the cooked dishes are not so hot. But there is also a Nautica tavern, I highly recommend it.
The beach is small pebbles, and the waves, due to the peculiarity of the coast, rolled in dark dregs. I advise you to relax on the sandy beach of Glyfada with clear water, this place is only two kilometers from the hotel, but given the mountain serpentines, it is better to go there by car or by green bus. He departs from the hotel, at what time I will not say, we drove in a rented car, we were not particularly interested.

In general, to get to know the beauty of the island, it is better to rent a car. There are many rental offices everywhere, no problems. Motorboats are available for rent along the coast, but always check if fuel is included in the hourly rate. The Greeks are very tricky with this. You are unlikely to be able to go around the entire island on a boat, but you can easily drive through some part of the water area and enjoy the views from the sea.
What else. The rooms are spacious and bright. The service personnel did not always conscientiously fulfill their duties. In case the funicular breaks down (during our stay, it broke down once), and in order not to climb the stairs to a 30-meter height, guests are taken on golf carts.
The hotel is solid, if you are by car, time will fly by interestingly and quickly. And that's how vacations should be. Have a nice holiday!
