A chain luxury hotel of the Deluxe level, considered one of the best in Greece and on about. Corfu. Located on a private peninsula Komeno, 12 km from the city of Corfu, between the village. Dassia and Gouvia (thus, on the one hand, the harbor with the yachts of Gouvia and the city of Corfu is visible, on the other hand, a view of the Gulf of Dassia and the mountains of mainland Greece opens).
A very large area, skillfully "inscribed" in the terrain. Italian-style gardens, cypresses, olives, flowers…
Very elegant. It consists of a main four-storey building (it has 184 rooms: double rooms (sea view), deluxe suites with sea view (S = 70 sq. m)), a bungalow complex (there are 117 of them) and 21 luxury villas. One-room bungalows and family bungalows (on two levels) - with a sea view or a frontal sea view.
Superior Bungalows (Front Sea View), Junior Bungalow Suite - sea view, rustic style, in a row of houses right on the beach, they have an open-type bedroom and living room. For a “millionaire” holiday, the hotel provides dream villas with a private pool, two-story dream villas in the Corkyrian style, a palazzo with a private pool.
Among other things, the hotel offers accommodation in the Famous Class category, which means receiving a whole range of additional privileges and special services. I will list only the most, in my opinion, noteworthy: children's cosmetics (! ) in the bathroom, a beach bag with towels and beach accessories, refreshing drinks and snacks on the beach (2 times a day), special discounts on spa treatments, car rental. Such a service is provided for rooms of the superior bungalow category, junior bungalow suite, and deluxe bungalow suite, dream villa, etc.
In the rooms: air conditioning, satellite TV, radio, CD player, mini-bar (extra charge), telephone, safe, bathrobes, slippers, beach towels, hairdryer, bath, balcony / terrace.
Meal plan: breakfast only or half board. Half board can replace dinner with lunch. Restaurant, a la carte restaurant, brasserie, beach bar (drinks and snacks are served in the beach bar until 18.00. After 20.00 it becomes the Yali fish restaurant), cocktail bar. Once per stay, you can change dinner in the main restaurant of your hotel to dinner in the main restaurant of neighboring hotels: Grecotel Daphnila Bay (drinks included) or Grecotel Eva Palace (drinks at an additional cost).
It is also possible, after notifying the hotel, to receive diet food for medical reasons.
For parents with children who have chosen breakfast or half board meals, there is a kind of lightweight children's "all inclusive" for children 3-12 years old (no surcharge) - Tasty Corner. Such meals are provided at the Grecoland club from 11.00 to 17.00.
Your baby will be able to drink unlimited amounts of fresh milk, fresh yogurt with fruits and honey, crunch baguettes and sandwiches with fresh salad, eat hot meals and pancakes or ice cream, drink fruit juices.
Children: for children under 3 years old, the GrecoBaby service is provided - you can order (including in advance) baby cots, changing mats, washbasin stand, baby potties and seats, bottle warmers, bottle sterilizer, electric kettle, baby baths, portable seat-cradle, radio-nanny (services partially paid and free of charge). Children from 3 to 6 years old can visit the GrecoKids club (6 days a week, except Sun). For children from 7 to 12 years old, the GrecoJuniors club operates.
Beach: private, on site, marked with the Blue Flag of the EU. The entry into the sea is gentle. Umbrellas + sun loungers + beach towels - free of charge (which is not surprising given the cost of living in this hotel).
Here, for example, you can get (for a fee, of course) butler service, cigars and humidors (! ), pillow menu (! ! ! ). On the other hand, the best-selling category of rooms in the hotel is junior bungalow suites (they come with a separate lawn for children to play), so there are still lucky ones who can afford all this. Well, my conclusion is simple: a person who can afford SUCH a vacation, by no means will choose a hotel on TurPravda. Well, unless his secretary reads ...
Summary: confident and undeniable 5 *. Suitable for those who are accustomed to super comfort, love "excesses" and know a lot about them.

Nutrition. We had breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast. Tasty. But! According to the statement: until 10.00, until 10.30 - continental breakfast (coffee-tea and croissants). Fruit was gone by 9:30. All ended. The popular biscuits and croissants ended at 10.00. What's left is what's left. Plus: free champagne - you feel like an aristocrat...
Dinner. Come in. Quickly look at what is delicious - and take a queue! For example, once an hour a vessel of mussels is brought in. Hooray.
But what about lunch? That's how! Only what the poolside restaurant offers - or pay for lunch at the main restaurant. Water can be bought at the grocery store. We would like to go outside the hotel and buy local or imported fruits, but!! ! The hotel is located 2-3 km from the highway and the nearest settlement, there are no other chances to buy something. (Acquaintances at the same time rested in Grecotel Daphnila Bay. They really liked the food. )
And what is a deluxe if there is nothing to do in the evening. Dancing in the fresh air - half an hour. Concert program - for older foreigners.
Comment from daughter: do not take teenagers with you! Boredom is rare! no disco.
Hotel. We lived on the side above the entrance, from the road. Noise all night, impossible to open the door.
Comment to the previous review: it's true, the bungalows look beautiful only from afar. Unless for a pair of "boss-secretary" ...
Hotel guests.
Mostly elderly couples-foreigners and Russian mothers-families-nannies with small and very small children. Horror of observations: children go to the beach with buckets and beads and (!!! ) don't know what to do with them! The nannies are chatting, mommy ran in for a minute to check on the child and disappeared somewhere. Poor children ...At best, the nanny wants to swim, and she pulls the child into the sea.
They took the car and drove. But! For those who understand: this is not Mallorca, there are no signs, the map will not help, you go at random.
Of course, rest is rest, sun, sea, beach, but what is written above is a warning to future tourists.
From 20.06. 07 to 30.06. 07, we (2 adults + child 7 years old) were on vacation on the island of Corfu, at the Corfu Imperial 5 * hotel, which belongs to the Grecotel system.
In the travel agency "Pan Ukraine", whose regular customers we are, we were recommended a "superior bungalow" room as a "famous class" room, on the first line of the sea, with access to the "famous class" beach. At the same time, a catalog was shown, the furnishings of the room and a map of the hotel with the location of the bungalow in which they planned to accommodate us.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were placed in a room, which, according to the hotel map and the area of the room, belonged to the “standard bungalow” category.
We turned to the reception desk with a request to clarify this situation, since we paid for a higher class room, and the price difference between the "standard" and "superior" bungalows was about 2300 Eur.
At the reception, they explained to us that this year the hotel was renovated and some rooms upgraded their category, but the maps remained from last year. So, last year the room in which we were settled belonged to the category of "standard" bungalow, and this year it became a "superior" bungalow. At the same time, compared with the room that we purchased in "Pan Ukraine" and which was shown to us in the catalog, the difference was not only in the location of the bungalow, but also in the area and decor of the room.
Due to the fact that such changes took place close to the tourist season, the most important things that would confirm the inclusion of a bungalow in the category of a higher class and justify such a difference in price, unfortunately, were not done.
Namely, by the time of our stay, the condition of direct access to the beach was not met, that is, the descent to the sea from the “superior bungalow” was not equipped. It was possible to go down to the sea only from the side of the central building, to which it was necessary to walk about 200 meters. It turns out that having paid 2300 Eur more than everyone who stayed in a standard bungalow or a standard room in a building, we ended up in the most remote room from:
1) beach
2) main restaurant and bars
3) Basin
When we asked the meeting party - the Kanoulas Travel company - to explain to us what is the difference between the "standard" and "superior" bungalows, the director of the company said that in the "superior bungalow" the repair is a little better, but our request to show to us what a “standard” bungalow looks like inside, for some reason he did not comply.
We visited the room of our acquaintances of the "standard bungalow" category, who at the same time were resting in the hotel and were surprised to see the same furniture, the same renovation in the room. At the same time, when asking Mr. Nikos the Director of Kanoulas Travel that there is no difference between “superior” and “standard bungalow”, except for yellow towels, we received an answer that if we really want, they will give us a certificate that we live in "superior bungalow". Why the agency in Kyiv does not know about the change in the category of the bungalow, Mr. Nikos admitted that they did not have time to give information about this to the operators, but everything is on the site.
A few days before our departure, the hotel began to equip the beach near the "superior bungalow" and a nearby villa, which was undergoing renovation during our stay (photo attached).
We believe that in the future (perhaps even at the end of this season) the hotel planned to create a beach and provide a separate access to it directly from the superior bungalow room, as was done for all other famous class rooms (junior bungalow suite, etc. ) . But, unfortunately, we did not have time to use it. Therefore, in our case, the overpayment of 2300 Eur was unjustified.
In this case, we tend to regard this fact as misleading us and would like to get the difference between the cost of a "standard bungalow" and a "superior" bungalow back, since we could not take advantage of the rest in the room that was shown to us according to the catalog in the agency "Pan Ukraine".
If there is no response to our letter, we will be forced, first, to place it on sites dedicated to tourist travel, along with photos and comments, as a warning to other Russian-speaking tourists, and second, to contact the consumer rights protection society of Ukraine with a complaint against the Grecotel representative office in Ukraine.
