Rested in August 2014 at the Kriopigi Beach Hotel in Halkidiki in Greece. We were picked up from the airport by a comfortable bus with air conditioning and comfortable seats, we drove for about an hour, an hour and 15 minutes.
Kriopigi Beach is located in the beautiful village of the same name Kriopigi. The hotel is designed in a typical Greek style. I was already at the hotel reception at about 11 o'clock in the morning, I had to wait a bit for check-in, I was checked into the room at about 13.00. Rules are rules. But despite the fact that they settled later than I arrived, I was put on the bracelet right away, so I could use the hotel services to the fullest. Wasting no time, I went to inspect the hotel grounds. It is small, but it is clear that it is being looked after, it is all green, flowers grow and bloom, there are beautiful palm trees. Kriopigi Beach has a large swimming pool on site, next to which they conduct almost all animations, entertainment and events. Here at 13.00 they gave me the keys to the room. The room was standard, small but clean, tidy and comfortable. The equipment in the room was: refrigerator, TV, air conditioning, hair dryer - everything worked properly. The bathroom had a large shower, all the necessary accessories: shower gel, shampoo, bathrobe and slippers. There are no holes or stains on the bedding. Bed linen and towels were changed in a timely manner. Bathroom accessories were also replenished, they were simply changed for new ones when towels and linen were changed. Cleaning was done well, efficiently and quickly. If you want the cleaning lady to come to you later - hang a sign on the door, do not forget. The food is adequate for a hotel of this star rating. Breakfasts were ordinary - European buffet. Omelet, scrambled eggs with sausages, several types of muesli, all sorts of cereals, milk, milk porridges, Greek yogurts (be sure to try it! ), pastries here will also not leave you indifferent, and of course fruits are fresh and juicy. Lunches and dinners provide a choice, but not quite wide, but everything is fresh and tasty, cooked with soul. I would like more fruits, but those that were delighted: juicy, sweet, just melt in your mouth. Meat is delicious at the hotel. I liked the grilled ribs, lamb ribs and oven lamb. There are a lot of fresh vegetable salads on the tables, delicious soups, I ate them with pleasure. The only negative is that at lunch and dinner, drinks were served by the waiters. Often they had to wait a long time.
The hotel is located in the middle of the village, so the beach is far away, but this problem is solved by a road train that runs from the hotel according to a clear schedule. The beach is well maintained and beautiful. There was enough space for everyone, sun loungers and umbrellas were free. The beach is sandy, the sea is clean, transparent, beautiful, the entrance is gentle, the bottom is sandy. In the village there are many different shops with souvenirs, clothing, grocery stores, many taverns where tasty and hearty food is served, restaurants. It was nice to walk around Kriopigi in the evening, to see how people live and have fun. Their way of life is very far from ours, in Russia. From excursions I went to Meteora (a delightful place, breathtaking) and thermal springs. Not far to go, and the bus was comfortable and with Wi-Fi, so the time flew by. The hotel is excellent, the most it for a good holiday! I will be back next year and will recommend to my friends.
