Good day everyone.
I must say right away that this is my first trip to an EU country, so one should not expect absolute impartiality in assessments.
Preliminary in a nutshell about the choice of hotel and its location.
After 4 sorties to Turkey, 3 visits to the Crimea (with a baby they didn’t risk moving far away from their homeland), it started to tingle in a well-known place, and even last year Greece, Croatia or Montenegro were identified in the future.
We have a 6-year-old child in our family who is learning to swim, so one of the main priorities when choosing a tour was a sandy or small-pebble beach. Stones or descending into the sea from the pier along the stairs were unequivocally rejected.

And then it turned out that there were few options for a trip in the planned budget (and this is 100 thousand rubles for everything). Very little. Only 4 or 5 offers of Greek hotels. A two-day assault on Internet reviews, plus there was a special offer on Pallini Beach for the dates we needed (apparently, the operator had difficulties filling out a charter from Voronezh), and the issue was resolved. I'm going to Halkidiki.
Now on business.
The hotel staff is beyond praise. They are very friendly, smiling, respond to any requests immediately and sincerely try to help. Our child fascinated them all, and from the second day they talked to him, and they knew our room number, and when they saw us in the hall, they immediately gave the keys to the room.
They settled us in the main building (lobby floor, restaurant floor + 9 residential floors).
You should not expect miracles - many reviews say that the rooms need renovation. It really is. Initially, the hotel was made at a very high level, obviously during the construction they did not save on trifles. But there is a certain shabbiness acquired over the years.
The room is medium in size, carpeted. Double bed and single bed (for a child). Glass coffee table, two soft stools, a cosmetic table with a mirror, a small chest of drawers, two bedside tables. Everything opens and closes as expected, but the corner of the chest of drawers at the bottom near the floor has a chip up to 5 cm long.
A large mirror in the bathroom, about 1.2x1.5 meters in size, a marble countertop in the washbasin, but along the edges of this large mirror there are places where the mirror coating is peeling off, and the panels in the ceiling are yellowed in places. Water is around the clock, but the hot tap is not always hot. A couple of times it was just warm. Maybe the analysis was large, and did not have time to warm up - but we waited a little, and after half an hour everything was OK.
The air conditioning system in the hotel is central, but they only turn it on in July and August (we were in June). The air conditioning control unit on the wall is two dissimilar boxes, obviously after repair.

Wardrobe with mirrored sliding doors, entrance doors with built-in closing mechanism. Even such pleasant nonsense: in the front door stopper (so as not to break the mirror at the entrance) there is a magnet that allows you to keep the door open. You say, a trifle? Yes. But is it pleasant? Yes.
The exit to the balcony has 2 sliding doors - glass and blinds. You can open or close both, you can separately. Usually we closed the blinds during the day to protect ourselves from the sun and it was not so hot (there is no air conditioning in June - remember? ). And in the evening, if our child went to bed early, and there was still a disco on the street, they closed the glass sash.
But the balcony doors are worn and scratched in some places, the mechanism for locking them... well, not that it does not work. He's been removed. Friends in the next room have the same thing. It is unlikely, of course, that someone will climb from balcony to balcony on the facade of a snow-white building with a criminal intent in front of the guests by the pool, but one more trouble has been recorded.
TV in the room is small, in the corner under the ceiling. They say there are Russian channels, but somehow we never turned it on.
The result by number - there are a lot of kosyachkov, but they are small. According to the reviews we read earlier about the wear of the rooms, we knew and were ready, so we were not so critical about it.
Territory and pools.
There are two pools - with sea and fresh water. The salt pool has an L-shape, the depth increases from 70 cm to 3 m, located near Pallini Beach, fresh (25 meters long with paths) - near Athos Palace. The territory of these hotels is common, very green. Full of flowering shrubs, arches of branches over the paths, there are several children's playgrounds. On the territory there is a small functioning chapel, built in the Greek style, which looks very pretty in greenery against the backdrop of the sea.
Animation in the hotel is unobtrusive. No, she's not bad. It is unobtrusive - if there is a desire that no one touches and does not make noise over the ear - 2/3 of the territory allows this.

If you get bored, the animators will help. In the evenings - mini-disco, micro-theater performances with the participation of vacationers, there is a disco for adults, a bar with live music. Well, and other joys such as darts competitions, volleyball, water aerobics...
Beach.
This is the top priority when choosing a hotel. It is difficult to think of a better place to relax with a child. The beach is sandy, both on the shore and in the sea. The exit is very gentle. Very gentle. In order for the depth to reach 1.5 meters, you need to walk ten meters from the shore. Thus, the children have simply fantastic conditions - it seems to be far from the coast, but their legs reach the bottom. The territory for crazy amphibious children's games is immense, which we successfully used. There are no stones at the bottom at all. Even having sailed 100 meters from the shore, and wearing goggles, you can’t see the stones at the bottom. Not because the bottom is not visible. The depth there is about 4-4.5 meters already. There are no stones. Sand and all.
Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are paid. And no matter how cheap - a set of 2 sun loungers and an umbrella - 7.5 Euro per day. Or one sunbed 3.5 Euros, One sunbed and umbrella - 5.5 Euros. For 10 days for umbrellas it turns out 75 Euros. At the current exchange rate - 3200 rubles. For sunbeds and umbrellas. Not sour, right? If this was not known in advance, it would be very upsetting. And so mentally prepared. No, if you don't want to, please bring your own and settle down wherever you want. But spreading a towel on the sand is somehow not very...
Near the pools and sun loungers and umbrellas are free - just have time to take it 
Nutrition.

Here again, everything is ambiguous. In a good way. We took half board - breakfast and dinner. And thank God. Because how many went to the Turks for full inclusiveness, they repeated so many 4 times a day that “ik! so much to burn, ik! it is forbidden". And here it was repeated only twice a day - in the morning and in the evening. But! The Greeks are quite sensitive about what they eat. Sorry, they don't eat slag. Therefore, if meat is meat, if fish is fish. Well, all sorts of salads, cakes... There is a choice of dishes, moderate. If you stay there for more than 10 days, then the dishonor will seem monotonous, because everyone tried it a couple of times. And 10-11 days - just right.
The quality of the food is good, our child (he’s still a gourmet, he also doesn’t eat) ate well, pounded 2 pieces of meat the size of a man’s palm at a time, and even asked for lunch. Where we ate - I will write below.
For breakfast, in addition to the main course, there are salad vegetables, cheeses, incl. feta (well, where would it be without it), very good yoghurts, sour cream, freely available raisins, figs (dried) and prunes (excellent - we rarely have this). Very tasty bread, both black and white. In general, wherever I had a chance to eat in Greece, the bread was just wonderful. Juices are powdered (in coolers), but if you look closely, there is a jug nearby on the table and natural, although not chilled.
Now about the sad: if breakfast drinks are free, then at dinner - sorry. 3 Euros for a cup of tea (THREE EUROS FOR A CUP OF TEA!!! ). They still took 2 teas every evening, so the Greeks were not particularly offended that we brought juice and water with us to the child.
Drinking water, by the way, takes a lot, at least with us. If you walk from the hotel along the road 150-200 meters, then in the shop a package of 6 bottles of 1.5 liters is 2 Euros. The three of us used almost 3 such packages in 11 days. They also bought local wine and sweets (we had drunken balcony gatherings with friends a couple of times).

For lunch, we mostly went to the Dias tavern, which is about a kilometer from the hotel in the direction of Kallithea. Walking is not a problem, the sidewalk is along the road with a fence, but at the very lunchtime the sun is merciless, and it is hard for small children to walk. The "Dias" has a great environment - it is located on the edge of a cliff, at the bottom of which is already the sea. The height is about 50 meters. Green shady area, tables under trees or awnings. Pretty fast, you don't have to wait half an hour. Seafood - chic (they took octopus, squid, cuttlefish, mussels), I recommend it with a pure heart. Greek portions are a separate issue. Eat one serving for one person - try and try. Huge portions. This applies to salads, and meat, and fish dishes. By the way, the meat dishes in "Dias" are inferior - dryish and burnt in places, the impression that they cooked in a hurry, in a hurry.
As for meat, I advise another place. True, you won’t get there on foot - it’s about 5 km from the hotel, in the village of Kassandria (regional center), on the square near the market there is a church, near which is the Meze-Meze cafe. The meat there is simply fabulous, the cook - Irina - came from the USSR twenty years ago. The first time we got there by taxi, having arrived at the market, and then 2 more times we drove by a rented car. If there is a car for rent, be sure to stop by there for lunch.
A few words about other buildings: a bungalow and an IRA building. Bungalows, as I understand it, are more expensive, and there is a certain pleasure in the evening to sit on the platform in front of the house and poke around, meditating and looking at the surf. The picture is quite idyllic, but only if it is a bungalow on the first line. There are second and third lines, you can’t see the sea from there, at best you will look at your neighbors from the same bungalow. In general, it is not a fact that this option is better than a standard room in the main building, where there is a cool sea view from the balcony.
Corps IRA (lat. - anger). There we whiled away the last day before departure (and he was at 20-45), after we vacated our room at 12-00. An unimportant option. The only interesting pastoral difference is the multiple nests of swallows in the corridor (it is open arched) on the walls and lamps. The rooms are clean, but some kind of dampness, stuffiness. The furniture is functional but old and creaky. There is almost no soundproofing - all conversations in the next room are heard in detail. The floor is tiled. The wiring to the lamp is not the ceiling idea in the form of a hanging wire from the socket in the wall (! ). In general, if they settle in the IRA, kick with all limbs, demand the main body.

Summing up, I can say that we were satisfied with the trip. A significant role in this was played by preparedness for all the shortcomings and pitfalls that were read about in advance on the network. Actually, when choosing a hotel, they gave priority to the green area and the gorgeous beach, sacrificing in the form of shabby and requiring light repairs rooms. If such compromises were not made, the tour would have been one and a half times more expensive.
Speaking of prices: I sincerely think that the June price is adequate, but the August one is a clear overkill.
Good luck!
