In the evening we went to Malia for dinner. on the road). they actually left the hotel and voted. the Greeks stopped and gave a ride - thanks to them. got back the same way. cruel, however. especially when you came to rest. but walking in the dark is also not the best option.

at the entrance to the hotel there are shuttle bus stops both in the direction of Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos. go often. maximum waiting time - 20 min. Buses are quite comfortable, buy a ticket from the conductors. stop on demand with a wave of the hand.
if you plan to take a car or an ATV, there will be no problems with parking and movement.
the owners of the hotel are a friendly unobtrusive Greek family. the maid - Sofia - speaks Russian, will answer any questions, help and tell you. sweet and pleasant woman.
olive garden next to the hotel. cicadas chirp so that closed windows do not save. but you quickly get used to us.
We only had breakfast at the hotel. 4 days the same thing: 2 types of bread, ham, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, cereals, butter, jam, simple cookies, juice from the machine, tea or coffee on order, YOGURT - well, very tasty)!! ! Whether they cook lunch or dinner on request, I don't know.
wi-fi is quite decent. in public places. our room was on the second floor above the dining room, so the balcony was connected.
The pool is nice and clean. deep on one side - 2.80 (if I'm not mistaken) - you can dive, and 80 cm on the other side.
they didn't go shopping, they didn't go to markets. dinner in the tavern of Heraklion (on the very shore), Mali cost 12 - 17 euros for 1 person. took a Greek salad one for two, hot meat and fish platter, mushrooms. tried moussaka. I liked the house wine. after dinner, a small compliment from the institution is served: ice cream, ouzo.
Malia is a bustling youth resort. there is a long street of bars, nightclubs - a loud noisy party. Definitely, you will not be able to sleep in nearby hotels. youth rides on quadrics all day and night. This miracle of technology costs 10 euros. crackles, buzzes and rattles sooo decently. who prefers silence, I do not advise you to go to Malia. in Nikos it was quiet enough - after all, it was not a city anymore.
