Traveled-May 31.2015-June 9.2015 tour operator Annex Tour. . I decided to simply describe what I saw and let you draw your own conclusions about the hotel.
ROOM - we planned a standard room garden, having read in the reviews about the Zeus building and the disco in Star Beach, we of course wanted the building further from the park and the disco. We were given a building-Taliaa which is located almost in the very corner near the amphitheater. At first we wanted to refuse this room (462 on the 4th floor) when we saw it. Well, how would you perceive a room with a total area of about 20 m2? A tiny bathroom - a shower, a washbasin and a toilet. Two beds (separately), a refrigerator, a TV set and a wardrobe. In general, we decided to stay. The discos (if you close the door, the balcony) are almost inaudible, the main thing for us was peace and quiet.
DINING ROOM - Well, since we were at the beginning of the season - at first (until June 4) we walked around the dining room like kings - no queues or crowds. I liked the food. A little bit of everything, but everything is there. Meat, chicken, lamb , beef, fish, everything is very tasty, though not pretentious, like in a good dining room. Salads, sweets.
In general, we have no complaints about the food and service.
BAR-free the one at the amphitheater-beer, water. colafanta. Brandy and local vodka. Sometimes cakes. Tea coffee.
Bar-paid at the massage-book but rarely.
Weather, we were not lucky with the weather. There were 3-4 full sunny days. And so usually half a day is clouds half a day is sun. Sometimes it rained.
CLEANING THE ROOM is not at all. If they are cleaned, they simply carry dirt with a wet rag. If you stand nearby and show what and where to clean, they will clean it
TOWELS in the room. If you are not around, they can either fold your towels thrown on the floor and hang them for you, or hang others, also from another room.

Saturday market in Herakleon - we went by ourselves - 3 euros a bus one way to Herakleon. We met our compatriots on the way and they escorted us to the market (you reach the end, at the bus station at the entrance you take a map of Herakleon - there is a separate scheme for how to get to the Market ). There are rags and fruits on the market. There are no souvenirs.
EXCURSION TO THE SAMARIA GORGE - in principle, this is not an excursion, but a full-fledged tourist mountain route - ONLY for a trained person who can withstand a hike through a rocky mountain gorge for the whole day (from 10-00 to 16-00 approximately)
Shoes - in general, you need a type of mountain-hard boots - the whole day (from the first to the last meter to walk on the stones! ). Think before you go for it! I do not advise people who are overweight and have disabilities!
