Cozy, clean hotel in a quiet location (the rooms were in one of the new buildings). Sandy beach (went either in the direction of the pitchers - to the right, or 10 minutes on foot - to the left, behind the bridge - entering the sea in these places is better! ). The sea, however, is not very calm, for small children - look at both sides ! ! !

The staff is very friendly, they spoke English.

The food is in line with the "good" rating.

The "half board" we chose allowed us to eat in taverns and find out what Greek cordiality and hospitality are. I especially liked the tavern 5 minutes walk from the hotel (to the right) -Cretan family ("Cretan family"). The portions are very large, meat, fish, house wines - everything is very tasty and from the heart. I recommend taking half a portion per person - well, VERY large portions. The average check per person with wine is about 10-13 euros.

You can go to Malia for a walk a couple of times (30 minutes on foot) - there is nothing special to see there, two shopping streets.
We recommend taking a car, also not far, about 15 minutes on foot, further than the tavern, around the corner - there is a car rental (Russian-speaking Dimitri-Bulgarian). They took Fiat Doblo for two families, for three days at once = 190 euros, with full insurance.

We went to Agios Nikolaus, (a beautiful town), Chania is also very beautiful, but far away - 3 hours from Malia, the Lassithi plateau at an altitude of 850 m above sea level, serpentines through mountain villages with awesome views, colorful locals, and super narrow streets - worth it! ! ! You can go to Heraklion and Hersonissos by bus (3.50 ero per ticket). Be sure to visit the Cretan Aquarium - children will be interested! On the way to these places - we stopped on the beaches (on the way we bought fruit, in bakeries - delicious Greek bread - we had a snack))). Go if you have the opportunity - Greece, its history is worth watching!
