Its own good beach, soft sand, gentle entrance.
Friendly staff (several people know Russian, and you will always understand what you want).

Modest animation (despite the presence of 2 Ukrainian or Russian girls)
Lack of territory (except for the beach and a few palm trees, nowhere to walk)
Review:
We traveled as a family of 2 adults + 2 children (5 and 7 years old).

First, about the tour operator... they came for tickets to Pegasus, where it turned out that Sabey (TUI) employees worked, in turn, they ordered from Biblio Travel, upon arrival in Crete, it turned out that they were met by a representative of Biblio Globus. The travel agency representing the interests of the Biblio Globus is Beleon tour. Therefore, the rating for everyone is three. (Reasons: they ordered visas, regretted that they did not do it themselves. For a month and a half, the travel agency made visas !! ! We never called from the travel agency, we made all the calls , 7 hours before departure, we received only vouchers, passports with visas and other documents. In Greece, the situation with excursions is to tear such money, while everywhere on excursions you pay yourself for entrance tickets, this is redneck, in no country is this I remember, moreover, the training of guides is extremely weak, before that I thought that there were no guides only in Egypt and Turkey, it wasn’t here, here the training of people responsible for excursions was carried out at best in a construction vocational school, but not at universities with a historical slope). Despite the fact that the representative of the Beleon tour, at the hotel, is trying with might and main, thanks to her for this, but in general the picture is miserable. I advise you to go on your own and look at their beauty and historical places for yourself, stock up on a guidebook, it says even more, especially for you it will be much cheaper.
All the flaws of tour operators are smoothed out by the hotel and its staff. With minor shortcomings, which in general cannot be called shortcomings, I still think that the hotel justifies its 4 stars. , well, or water aerobics with visitors to the pool, in the evening for 15-20 minutes some competitions from the repertoire of the school). Territory... From the facade it looks very beautiful, palm trees and flowers, on the flanks - a garden where they grow all sorts of greenery for a restaurant, and from the right. cat bushes on the sides, pools on the rear - one 30 cm. deep and 125 cm deep. Further, the beach, to which there is not a single claim, is always clean, soft sand, the entrance to the sea is gentle. All sunbeds and umbrellas are free. There may not be enough space by the pool, but there are always free sunbeds by the sea. Lifeguards are working, whistling zealously if you swim behind the buoys. The only thing I didn’t like was that during our vacation, the sea was quite stormy, and if for adults, big waves are not a hindrance, then for kids, it’s not good... But despite the waves, we swam every day.
The restaurant is worthy of praise, the food is excellent, all dishes are delicious, meat, fish, fruits, salads, ice cream, muffins, roissants, gourds... Drinks - cola, orange and lemon lemonade, concentrated juice, water, beer, rose wine and white (you can drink), tea, coffee with milk.
The staff is friendly, courteous and responsive. In general, the Greeks liked it, very nice people. Probably every second one understands Russian, although only a few people speak, but you will not have problems understanding.
Cleaning on 4-, they seem to be cleaned, but without diligence, so after cleaning you can find someone's hair in the room, either from a rag or from somewhere else, this is not affected by tips.

The room had a double bed, and a bookcase bed for two children, a refrigerator, a TV (3 Russian channels, the image is true for 3-), a table, a wardrobe, a safe (it seems you have to pay for use, we didn’t use it, nothing was lost), bathroom a room with a combined toilet. Very good air conditioning, copes with its task and does not bother with noise. Balconies even on the first floor. The hotel has a souvenir shop, prices are almost the same as in the city, the difference is small. hammam (I think the price is too high).
The hotel is located in the village of Amnisos, in which there is no liveliness, there is nowhere to go. But there is a rental of scooters, and a shop with a Russian-speaking hostess, who turned out to be a very pleasant woman, the prices in her shop are reasonable, even in Heraklion most of the shops they sell at slightly higher prices (although there are those in which prices are lower). It’s just that there were good reviews about the owner of the store before (they themselves encountered it on their own example... a child walking on the street touched the exhaust pipe of a scooter and burned himself. and complaining to us about the burn, attracted the attention of the store owner, she took an interest, and then brought a cream and ointment with which she smeared the burns and treated our child with sweets, completely free of charge)
There is a bus stop next to the hotel, 25 meters away, so by bus number 7 you will reach the center of Heraklion in 12 minutes. So despite the lack of entertainment in the village, the hotel is located close to the city, which is a definite plus. The airport is generally located a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Despite the plentiful number of plying planes, they don’t really bother with their roar, you don’t pay attention to them during the day, and at night, you close the door to the balcony and it’s inaudible.
Liked the hotel. The hotel itself can be put five.
