Good afternoon everyone! My name is Tatyana. Rested in Crete with a friend in June 2014 at the Krini Hotel. We decided to write a review about this wonderful place, albeit almost a year later. The hotel is really wonderful. Literally from the first day of our vacation, we were imbued with true Greek hospitality.

The hotel is really wonderful. Literally from the first day of our vacation, we were imbued with true Greek hospitality. The staff at the hotel is very polite, the rooms are clean and comfortable (the room was cleaned every day). Air conditioning, refrigerator and safe (free of charge), there is a TV in the room and in the main lobby of the hotel. The food is also quite consistent with the level of 3 *. Cooking is simple, but delicious. For lunch and dinner, several types of side dishes, meat and fish, salads, sweets were always served. In general, we are absolutely satisfied. As for the beach holiday, we were also quite satisfied. We are aged people, so we did not look for noisy beaches with children and animation. It was 5 minutes walk from the hotel to the beach and the beach itself is small, quiet, the water is clean, you don’t need more. In addition to all this, we were very pleased with the location of the hotel: it is located just 10 minutes from the center of the small coastal town of Elounda. Supermarkets, shops, taverns - all this can be easily found there. In addition, not far from Elounda is one of the local attractions - the island of Spinalonga. I liked the trip very much, it was extremely interesting to hear about the most interesting history of this island. I was very pleased with the fact that the tour was not tiring. Because we both walked on foot and swam on the ship. By the way, I can’t help but note that the trip also included lunch in a sea tavern right in the center of Elounda. This is very correct, in my opinion, since towards the end of the tour, many were quite hungry. The overall impression was wonderful, everything was well organized and the trip was a lot of fun. We were very satisfied, we will definitely return to Crete again.

The hotel turned out to be small, but very cozy, located 10 minutes walk from the center of the fishing village called Elounda. As for the hotel itself: the rooms, of course, are not particularly luxurious, but everything you need is there (TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, safe). The rooms were cleaned every day, towels were changed twice during the 5 days of rest. With this I was satisfied. As for the beach, as I understand it, the hotel does not have its own beach area. Went to the beach, which is literally 200m from the hotel. Sunbeds and umbrellas are paid there, but this did not bother me at all. I sunbathed on my towel and thus managed to avoid unnecessary expenses. The beach itself is small, quite clean, but rocky, which was a small minus for me, since it is not very convenient to enter the water. I have nothing bad to say about the food in the hotel. . I rested on the All inclusive system (breakfast, lunch and dinner), Of course, there was no particular variety of dishes (for a 3 * hotel this is absolutely normal), but everything was very tasty and there were never any complaints. Plus, the staff at the hotel are very helpful. Always with a smile on their face, polite and ready to help. I especially made friends with a girl who works at the reception, her name is Christina. She has helped me many times, for which I am very grateful! By the way, Christina speaks a little Russian. The only negative for me in this hotel, perhaps, was the complete lack of animation, as it was boring in the evenings. But I found a way out: several times I went for a walk to Elounda, a picturesque town, and once, on the advice of a hotel guide, I visited the Cretan evening, and it was just what I needed: songs, dances, a bright show with local artists, delicious dinner and a lot of positive. In general, I want to say that I had a great rest! I will definitely return to Crete again, hopefully with my family!

It takes 5-10 minutes to walk, but there are umbrellas and places where you can lie down. In general, don't burn if you don't want to. It was impossible to pull the grandson out of the water at all. Firstly, it is warm, and secondly, it is transparent like glass. You can see every little thing at the bottom. I completely forgot to mention food. I do not think that it is very good in terms of variety, but everything is quite tasty. The grandson ate an omelet at breakfast for both cheeks. It's just nonsense, because you can't force him at home. Apparently, the fresh air had an effect. In general, there is something to eat. The owner of the hotel even made her own pastries. Delicious! The only downside is the location of the hotel. . There isn't much entertainment here. There is nowhere to go out. But you can walk around Elounda in the evening. Great town. There, even with a child, there is a place to go out, and you can just sit in a tavern and drink coffee. I believe that for a normal holiday, it’s not enough just to sit in a room and get out to the beach. We went on excursions and spent time actively. Therefore, the shortcomings of the hotel did not notice. I think that the main thing is to be interesting, and the rest already depends on your mood.

The rooms are basic with minimal furniture, small, some rooms have a mini-fridge. Air conditioning 5 euros per day. The bathroom is quite small with a shower. I want to say that everything is modest and simple, but we did not meet anything terrifying at the hotel. Cleaned well, including the balcony. The view from it was excellent on the mountains and the sea. On the territory of a small pool, nearby free sunbeds in sufficient quantities for everyone. I read in the reviews that the pool was dirty, but during our stay it was cleaned regularly, so there were no complaints. Krini is located near the center of Elounda, you can walk in 15 minutes, there are restaurants and cafes not far from the hotel, as well as an excellent pastry shop, we brought home several packages of Greek sweets. Near the hotel there are two beaches, the nearest one is 7 minutes, the farthest is 20 minutes, the central one in Elounda. The hotel is quiet, there is no entertainment, the rest are mostly Europeans, British, Poles, Russians were few. My husband and I stayed in Krini for 7 days, for an economical relaxing holiday in Crete, we think that the hotel is quite suitable.

By the way, even we can walk there in 20 minutes, not to mention the young ones. In the evenings, you can stroll around the town or sit in a tavern to eat local sweets and drink a cup of coffee. Very relaxing, to be honest. The air is very fresh, the sea is clean, the beach is also excellent. True, it is far to go to it (again, this is for us). It usually took us 10 minutes to get there. But, in principle, this is not for long. We are very lucky with the number, I think. The view was both the sea and the mountains. So at dawn and at sunset, wonderful photos were obtained. Very friendly, nice people - the owners of the hotel. Anna and her husband (I don't remember his name, unfortunately). The hostess herself cooked pastries sometimes. The food is good too. Breakfast is a bit monotonous though. But we are elderly people, so food is no longer the main thing for us. What else to tell. The pool area is also good. The water is fresh, you can swim when you do not want to go to the beach. And the sunbeds there are free (you already have to pay at sea). The room is cleaned every day very carefully. Special thanks to the maids. They weren't even visible. They appeared like invisible people, removed and disappeared. The bathroom is small but clean. There is no mold (we read a lot that there are problems with this in Greece). This was not the case in our hotel, which cannot but rejoice. In general, the rest turned out to be good. Everything was top notch for an economical and quiet trip. So, I can only express my gratitude to the owners of the hotel.

But we were at the beginning of the season and rarely used it. The hotel has a swimming pool. The food is monotonous, but the choice for a deuce is good. We only had breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast is always eggs, fresh bread, toast, butter, jam, sweets, tea and coffee.
The morning was spent at sea. We went to the central beach in Elounda, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to it. The sea here is crystal clear. There is another beach closer, to which 5-7 minutes.
There is not much to do in the hotel. We went around all the taverns in Elounda. We fell in love with the Porto Reno tavern. The Greeks are very hospitable, large portions are everywhere, we even ordered dishes at the rate of one for two. Prices do not bite, on average for a hearty lunch 5-8 euros per person.
Opposite the town is the island of Spinalonga with a fortress from the 16th century. I advise her to visit.
