Greece has it all :)
Kalimera! (Good morning, Greek). This time it was decided to take an excursion tour to Greece, according to the program "Ancient Greece" for 8 days. The program is very rich, judge for yourself: Thessaloniki-Kastoria-Kalambaka-Meteora-Delphi-Athens-Argolis-Corinth Canal-Mycenae-Nafplion-Epidvar-Thermopylae-Vergina-Olympus-Dion. And very interesting.
Greece has everything. Do you want to buy a coat? Welcome to Kastoria, the birthplace of furs, by the way, a very picturesque town. Feel like a monk? Then you are in Meteora, in the active women's and men's monasteries high on the rocks, literally soaring above the ground. Or maybe you like mysticism? Then by all means visit the Delphic oracle, where the Pythia gave her predictions. And be sure to make an ascent to Olympus, where the proximity of the Gods is felt like nowhere else...
Greece has everything, gentlemen. Even snow in March, to which our wonderful guide Dimitros exclaimed: "Attica is covered in snow! Please note, this is very rare! The last time the Greeks observed this phenomenon was 10 years ago. " For us, tourists from Ukraine and Russia, who flew in for the Greek sun and left snow on our native land, there was nothing to be surprised at. But how beautiful Meteora is in the snow! How majestic Parnassus is in dark leaden clouds, how Olympus sparkles in the sun with its white top. . . how close to the Gods you feel there. . . Greece has everything! And the warm March sun suddenly replaced the cold wind, and bright orange spots against the background of cypresses, laurel and oleander, and delicate daisies under the shade of palm branches. . .
So, to the melodic tunes of Sakis Rouvas, listening to the stories, myths and legends of our guide Dimitros, smoothly "floating" on a comfortable double-decker bus under the control of our captain Kalinikas, we traveled around Hellas, from north to south and back to north, from Thessaloniki to Athens. Greece cannot be described, it must be experienced. How can you convey the feeling of touching antiquity....? Come, feel for yourself!
In conclusion, I want to say about the excellent organization of the tour by the Greek tour operator MOUZENIDIS TRAVEL, where everything is thought out to the smallest detail - a well-developed route, a rich but not tiring program, freedom of choice when visiting museums for an additional fee, flowers on March 8th for all women and even a win-win the lottery, which was organized by the owners of souvenir shops - all this left wonderful memories of Hellas, the country of the Hellenes.
About prices in Greece - lunch (soup or meat dish) 10 Euro, tea / coffee 2.5-3.5 Euro, olives - 1.5-5 Euro, olive oil - 4.5-6 Euro, Feta cheese - 3 5-5 Euro, Metaxa cognac - 16-18 Euro, Uno vodka - 4-6 Euro, Ricina wine - 08 -1.5 Euro.
Well, to be completely honest, I want to note the only disadvantage of this program - a huge number of its participants. 70 people in the group - believe me, this is not a joke : ) Although we must pay tribute to the professionalism of the guide, who skillfully organized the gathering of the group, always gave free time in museums so that you could come up and look at all the exhibits closer and never imposed anything.
Efcharisto, Mouzenides! Until we meet again, Hellas. . .
