We planned to stay in Ureki for a week, but stayed for three. This hotel is run by very hospitable and friendly people. Shalva, the owner of the hotel, speaks excellent Russian, and in the evenings we discussed the politics of our countries with him. The rooms are very neat and comfortable. We were 2 adults and 2 children aged 14 and 8.

We planned to stay in Ureki for a week, but stayed for three.
This hotel is run by very hospitable and friendly people. Shalva, the owner of the hotel, speaks excellent Russian, and in the evenings we discussed the politics of our countries with him.
The rooms are very neat and comfortable. We were 2 adults and 2 children aged 14 and 8. We rented two rooms opposite each other on the 2nd floor. The kitchen is one per floor. There are 4 rooms on the floor, so the kitchen was free to use. Each room has a balcony. Air conditioners were not needed, as the climate in Georgia is very comfortable. Shower and toilet were in every room, everything was clean. Hot water always.
The beach is very close. Almost the entire Black Sea coast in Georgia is pebble (Batumi and Kobuletti), only Ureki has wonderful sand. Read about it on the internet. He is special! But! At the time we were there, the beach was not being cleaned. It was very annoying, but we tried not to dwell on it. Only around July 10, a tractor arrived and the team sorted out all the garbage that had accumulated on the beach.
In the evenings we went to the amusement park in Kobuletti (20 km). A very good park for both children and adults. The prices for the rides were just ridiculous.
On the way to Batumi there is a fortress of Petra in Tsikhisdziri, wander around it - you will not regret it.
I really liked the Batumi Botanical Garden. Spent the whole day there, the whole family loved it.
One day we visited the cave city of Vardzia, on the way back we stopped in Borjomi. Impressions of the sea and a small cart of water: )).
We went to Turkey (about 100 km from Ureki), where we bought things for a year in advance. But! The farther from the border with Georgia, the less people understand Russian. No one speaks English in that part of Turkey.
Food in Georgia is just a song! The hostess of the hotel, Mziya, had Imereti khachapuri, Adjarian khachapuri, and penovani, which were simply amazingly tasty and inexpensive.
It was one of the most positive and memorable trips of our family. And we travel by car a lot. Do not be afraid to go to Georgia, they are waiting for us there!
