Travel from Ukraine to Georgia by car. Part 5 of 5. Bridge of Queen Tamara, Waterfall

August 20 in the afternoon we leave for home. On the way, we stop by to look at the bridge of Queen Tamara and the Makhuntseti waterfall in the village of Zeda Makhuntseti. It is 15-20 km from Batumi towards Akhaltsikhe. On the way back from Batumi, we had to get to Borjomi, get some water. We look at the map, the shortest road is through Khulo and Akhaltsikhe. So we went. On the way, we cannot understand why the navigator constantly offered to return to Batumi and go through Kutaisi. We understood when the road ended after Khulo. This off-road lasted 50 or 60 km. We climbed to a height of 2030 meters when it was already dark. The average speed of the car in this section is 10 km/h. We still managed to pass on our Lancers, but very often we hit the bottom. Lost a huge amount of time and effort. They prayed to all the gods that nothing happened to the wheels. Already at home in Google learned that it was the Goderdzi pass (there is now a new ski resort). There is a video of the entire journey on youtube if anyone is interested. We left Batumi at 16:00, and arrived in Borjomi at 01:00 in the morning (distance 200 km). So don't make this mistake. Although if you want to look at real indigenous mountain Georgians, at their way of life, at houses untouched by civilization - you are here! Our last adventure is a 9-hour wait in line at the Georgian-Russian border. It was August 21, we arrived at the border at 06-00, left at 15-00, and we passed the Georgian border in 1.5 hours, and the rest was Russian. And the Russian-Ukrainian (in Chugunovka) passed in 55 minutes. Summing up, we can say that it was the most colorful and memorable trip for us. Before that, we traveled all over the Crimea, flew to Turkey, Egypt, went by car to Romania and Bulgaria, but we got a lot of impressions from Georgia! The total expenses of our family (4 people) - Housing (8 nights, the rest in a tent, on the road, in the car) - 4600 UAH - Gas - 2800 UAH. Consumption 7.5-8 liters. - Everything else - 11600 UAH TOTAL 19000 UAH ($810 - the rate is now 23.5). Our friends, I think, spent about the same amount.
