Super birthday trip to Crete!
Good day to all!
In May of this year, we visited the island of Crete with a group of friends! It was the second wave of holidays, and our mood was initially woven from the most positive emotions. From the very morning of May 9, under the "Farewell of the Slav" we were seen off by smiling customs officers and the rest began!
We flew to the island quickly, we were also placed very quickly. The room at the hotel "Marie Christine" in the center of Hersonissos turned out to be clean, tidy, with an updated renovation. Since it was my birthday on that day, the Four Mile staff made sure that a compliment from the hotel was waiting for me in the room! Thank you again!
6 days on the island flew by! I will share the main thing:
The hotel is located in the very center of the city - close to beaches, bars, cafes, restaurants and shops, it is very convenient.
The sea is clean (most of the beaches are marked with a blue flag)! the only caveat is that it is not the warmest - about 18 degrees. But we swam every day, and every day, as the weather got warmer, the sea warmed up more and more.
The Cretans are very friendly people. Very friendly and welcoming. In every cafe and restaurant, the offering of a traditional Greek alcoholic drink - Raki is considered a compliment. I highly recommend visiting the Soraya cafe (Soraya) and trying seafood there and definitely lamb. The waiter Raiko speaks excellent Russian, and is really a professional in his field: he entertained us while waiting for the dishes with stories about the island, like a good old comrade.
I highly recommend visiting Old Hersonissos. I'm sure the old cobbled streets and the locals won't leave you indifferent!
Also, rent a scooter or ATV and just ride on the roads, admire the sea from the height of the cliffs, it's very beautiful!
I really liked the organization of our trip! I have not rested so easily and naturally!
