Holidays in Val d'Isère
This year we decided to discover Val d'Isere for a long time choosing a hotel and stopped at the Le Blizzard hotel, we liked it according to the reviews. The hotel did not disappoint us at all, it seems somehow fabulous, somewhat reminiscent of a gingerbread house. It is all made of wood, which makes it even more cozy and homely. We chose the Junior Suite Mountain view. The room seemed intimate, but there was enough space for two plus equipment, and we didn’t come there to wallow in the hotel all day. The room has a balcony, a small living room with a sofa, where it is nice to sit in the evenings and look at the mountains.
But the main reason why we chose this hotel is that there is nothing to the nearest ski lift, about 100-150 meters, which can be reached by bus, which go every 10 minutes. As for the slopes, the skiing was just great! The tracks, their difficulty and condition were amazing! No wonder the resort holds international championships. The routes are varied, some are quite difficult, and some are easy. At first we decided to ski on the blue slopes, but then we switched to red ones, my husband even rode the black one once, but then he abandoned this idea, although he is more confident on skis than I am. When walking around the Waldizer, I constantly ran into ski schools, I even wanted to take a few lessons after the tracks that were difficult for me =) And what aprè s-ski! If you want to have fun and relax without finishing skiing, you can visit the Folie Douce restaurant. We really enjoyed. So a week and a half in Val d'Isè re was fruitful and very interesting! The only thing that slightly spoiled the impression of the rest, when we returned home, we found that the hotel blocked the money on the card, although we paid the bill at checkout, but after calling Sodis and explaining the situation, the problem was solved.
