Booked in advance. We arrived at night. That's the only reason we stayed there. It's only good on the outside. Dirt not only in the room, but throughout the hotel has not been washed since the reign of Bonaparte. You ride in a tiny elevator with one thought - just not to touch the sticky walls. But there are no options at all to go up narrow steep stairs, since the light turns on and off with the help of motion sensors, apparently installed during the construction of the hotel in the century before last. In the photos of the hotel lobby, the proposals have red leather sofas as bait. Don't lie, there are sofas. Judging by the size of the holes, they were looking for treasures hidden from the Russians in 1812. On the door to our room there was a hole with a diameter of 20 centimeters - apparently the previous tenant closed it from his foot in gratitude for the good service. With a scandal, they managed to replace bed linen after previous guests. The guy at the counter abruptly stopped understanding English. The door to the coupe type bathroom is on the floor. I put it to the opening when using the toilet or bathroom. In the basement, where breakfast is declared, there is little space, to put it mildly. . I haven't seen the rats mentioned in other reviews, but I believe with all my heart that they are there. Holes in the walls would allow a rather big crocodile to wander in here, if they were found here. Although, I would not be surprised, because the behavior and appearance of the staff gave the perfect impression that we were somewhere in central Africa. Apparently, in order not to spoil the illusion of being on the black continent, tensions have been created with food supplies. To say that the breakfast is continental is an understatement. It looks like the products are sent to the continent to the white gentleman - the owner of the hotel. The good location declared as a plus for the hotel is also slightly exaggerated: next to the Opera is 15-20 minutes on foot.
