About the hotel: simple apartments that have everything for a normal life. The three of us lived with my husband and detem in a three-room, two-story suite. On the ground floor there is a living room with a sofa bed, a TV set, an oval dining table with chairs, a bench along the wall, a kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, electric oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, a full set of necessary kitchen and dinner utensils. There is also a wardrobe, a vacuum cleaner and a large bathroom with a bathtub. On the second floor there are two bedrooms and a small bathroom with shower. On the ground floor there is a large French window with a balcony and sun loungers.
The only absurdity in the hotel is the lack of ski storage. We've kind of gotten used to them. Skis were stored on the balcony.
You can ski down the mountain to the apartments, and to get to the nearest Transark lift, you need to climb from the door 10 meters to the nearest slope and go down 50-60 meters to the base of the lift.
Charmetaugeurs are several separate 3-4 storey chalets with apartments, without food, without common fireplace rooms, without saunas and swimming pools. I am writing this to avoid disappointed tourists. You need to know what to expect and what not.
In the village of Ark 1800, under the lift, next to the cash desks, a supermarket with the necessary products, several restaurants that fully operate only in the evening, from 17.00, a dozen stores with sporting goods were found.
About Paradiski - excellent slopes, we were incredibly lucky with snow - everything was covered up, 100% of the slopes and lifts were working. Most of the tracks are blue and red. Wide, well prepared. We were also lucky with the weather - the sun was such that we sunbathed on the sun loungers and at lunch in the cafe and on the balcony from 17 to 18.00. In the La Plagne zone, the tracks are even wider, but apparently the slope is different - it seemed to me a little windy there. There was no wind at all in Arki. The most beautiful is Ark-1950, it is the oldest, habitable, and comfortable. There were most tourists with small children. Our 1800, the neighboring 2000 and the lower Ark-1600 are more democratic, there are many students. They sometimes walk the roads at night and sing in their French. But basically everything is quiet, there are few people on the streets, silence, peace, lack of animation, beauty, in a word
