A trip to Paris (a few practical tips)
There are plenty of reviews about traveling to Paris on the net, therefore, I will focus only on fundamentally important points:
1. It was quite expensive for me to fly directly to France, therefore. I flew to Dortmund by a Visara low-cost airline, and from Dotmund I went to Paris by taxi for 35 euros (by the way, this “access” tactic for a reasonable price is very common in Germany and there are a number of sites where you can find such a driver or fellow travelers. The one with whom I was driving, turned out to be a trusted guy, he makes a living from this delivery and travels daily (if necessary, there are coordinates)
2. if you plan to watch to the maximum, look for hotels in the center - there are a lot of 2-3 stars there, not the Hilton, of course, but you can walk until night, and in the morning you belong to yourself, not the subway or buses. (as an option - 5 minutes to the metro and the Champs-Elysses
if you are traveling on your own, the yellow tour bus (L'Open Tour) is highly recommended. 4 routes, there is a Russian text, convenient connections. 31 euros - day, 36 -2 days, ATTACH, if you buy a ticket at 4 pm, then the rest of the day (until 20.30) you get free + 1 or 2 more days (of your choice). I went on a 2.5-hour sightseeing tour in a "gift" piece of the day and outlined routes - I was very pleased. By the way, the city is planned to delight simply. The metro is understandable, the stations are at a short distance. I highly recommend buying 10 tickets for 13.5 euros (single trip 1.70), in order to return at night if necessary (I don’t want to upset you, but no one will be waiting for you at the ticket office)) or drive up somewhere like the Defense area (MUST LOOK)
4. August is the time when Parisians go on vacation. No matter how strange it looks, a number of restaurants are closed with a sign - "we have a vacation from August 5 to 31. "
This is what I mean - all the museums that you plan to visit have days off - check them before the trip. At the same time, EVERY DECENT MUSEUM HAS A DAY OF THE WEEK. WHEN IT IS WORKING LATE! (The exception is the Georges Pompidou Center - it is open until 21 daily, which is very convenient.
5. it is best to visit the Eiffel Tower in the morning - there are a lot of people, as always, but due to the fact that it is empty at the top, the queue moves extremely quickly
6. The best photos are taken early in the morning, when the city is still sleeping (only the Chinese are not sleeping - I asked them to photograph them)) and you can shoot whatever you want without problems.
7. Well, the last thing - Paris - this is absolutely not the city, having seen which you need to die, it is a city in which you want to return again before you leave!
