Day six of the "Two Poles of Passion" round. Loire Valley

Something I got confused with the route yesterday and was already going to the ocean.
And we had the sixth day traveling through the Loire Valley.
We checked into the hotel yesterday after 23.00. Departure around eight. There is a 250 km drive to Amboise ahead. Then 15 km to Chenonceau and after 350 km to Bordeaux, where we will spend the night.
It was a very calm day, pleasant and relaxing. There was no fuss and haste, the group dispersed wherever they wanted.
Amboise is a small town, active, beautiful. There is plenty of time for a tour, a tour of the castle and a walk. You can sit quietly in a cafe, try local culinary delights. The castle itself rises above the city, the Loire flows below - very beautiful views. A spacious park, a mysterious, unusual architecture chapel with gargoyles. Perhaps Leonardo da Vinci rests in it.
For a tour of the castle, they took prospectuses in Russian, you walk and read. There is an audio guide in Russian. I was impressed by the hall with columns and a burning fireplace. Beautiful furniture, tapestries, paintings, antique mirrors. Fantasy instantly draws pictures of how and who could live in such an environment.
The castles are both magnificent, but I liked Chenonceau more. And his story is more interesting - a ladies' castle on the water. The local eminent hostess Diane de Poitiers can be seen on canvases in the rooms of the palace. A chic green alley leads to the castle, from the bus parking area. In the park, you can wander through the green labyrinth. There are many fish in the ponds. Flowerbeds with geometric patterns of plants, fountains.
A field of yesterday's bustling Paris, a walk through such places is like a gift - you can relax and unwind. In autumn, there are no shops or cafes in Chenonceau, there is only a castle, nature and silence. The weather did not offend us either, just before the departure it began to drizzle.
And then we probably got lost - when leaving Chenonceau for Bordeaux, we were told the distance was 350 km, and after three hours and minutes driving along the highway, after a sanitary stop, the distance to the hotel became 210 km. It's a pity, I so wanted to get to the hotel early and leave early tomorrow to the ocean. Yes, and in the bag is a pizza cooked for dinner from Amboise. By the way, this particular hotel turned out to have a kitchen and a microwave in the room and the pizza was warmed up))
