4 days in Paris
France was the 3rd consecutive country on the European Fireworks tour of Europe. The tour turned out to be very intense, 5 countries in two weeks and a sea of emotions. On the first day we had a sightseeing tour of Paris with our guide. Coincidentally, during this period, the founder of the travel agency and the actual developer of the "fireworks" - Igor Zakharenko, was in Paris. Joining our rather big group, he gave us a sightseeing tour. On this day, we managed to visit about. Sité , saw the Cathedral of Notre Dame, in the center of J. Pompidou, on the New Bridge. All these places further we visited more than once on our own. A boat trip on the Seine was planned for the evening. Igor (I don’t know his patronymic) kindly helped the whole group to get on the boat and treated everyone with pre-prepared wine. The walk was beautiful, despite the coolness of early November. All historical architectural works of art are illuminated, pleasing to the eye, and when they saw the Eiffel Tower at night, there was no limit to delight! On the second day there was a trip to Versailles, I don’t know how to describe it, I’m afraid there won’t be enough words. Very majestic, pompous, luxurious! We took an audio guide and went to explore the former residence of the kings. We spent about 3-4 hours in Versailles and still did not have time to see everything we wanted. Sooooo big area, one of the largest parks in Europe. After Versailles, we went to the De Fance district (the business district of the capital), where the largest business center in Europe is located, many offices, firms and apartments, skyscrapers and glass buildings around. All communications in this area are underground and therefore the entire area is pedestrian. In the evening there was a walk around Montmartre, before which we were recommended to buy sparkling wine along the way, in order to sit down on the steps in front of the Sacri Coeur temple, enjoy the panorama of Paris in the evening from a height of 130 meters with a glass of sparkling drink, so we did, not a bit regretted. The next two days were free and we had plenty of walks on our own. Our hotel (2 *) was, to put it mildly, not close to the center. I don't remember the name at all. The hotel was from the category of budget with a small room, but a good 2. a sleeping bed and a normal bathroom. Breakfast consisted of coffee (or tea), orange juice, croissant, small baguette, butter and jam. That is, a rich breakfast, "like at home", no buffets with a huge selection of dishes. This fact did not bother us in the slightest, we were ready for this. There was a metro station in a 4-minute walk from the hotel, on which we got to the central regions. We walked a lot on foot, even in the most comfortable shoes, by the end of the walk our feet were just buzzing. But then impressions. . . uuuuh! We sat on the embankment, dangling our legs to the Seine and basking in the sun. We walked along the Cite, visited Notre Dame, a building of the Gothic style, majestic and indescribable beauty. When I first entered it, for some reason I cried. I still can't understand the reasons. Hand sparrows near Notre Dame, such a spectacle has not yet been seen anywhere else. Huge Tuleri Park, with sculptures decorating it. Champs Elysees, the avenue is beautiful both during the day and in the evening. In the period of early November, it had already begun to be decorated for Christmas and New Year, the windows of numerous shops, restaurants, passages shone with thousands of lights. A separate place in memory is occupied by the Montmartre district, here we spent, it seems, the most time both during the day and in the evening. After the film "Amelie" I really wanted to visit here, the dream came true! Montmartre is like no other, with its narrow streets, low houses, an observation deck and, of course, the Sacri Coeur Basilica. Many creative people lived and worked here, such as: Picasso, Gauguin, Van Gogh, singer Dalida and many others. There is also a "wall of love" in Montmartre, on which the phrase "I love you" is written in all the official languages of the world. And of course the Eiffel Tower! Having climbed it, we saw a panorama of incredible beauty, since the weather was pleasing, it was sunny and we looked at the architectural beauties of Paris for a long time, pointing our fingers in different directions))) We definitely want to return to this city, probably in the warmer season. Paris left a positive impression in my memory, but unfortunately, I did not manage to "feel" this city, its glorified romance, the elegance of the locals (which I did not see, I did not see, unfortunately). So I'll be back for sure!
