Road trip in Europe 2017. Canyon Gorges du Vardon, France, and further to Italy.
Gorges du Vardon Canyon, France
After visiting the lavender fields, it was possible to go to Italy through the south of France Marseille. The road is excellent, fast and toll. Moving along it, I would see only gas stations and cafes, where crowds of auto travelers eat another portion of sandwiches with sausages, or steaks, washed down with cola. And on the lawns, dogs sitting in poses, emptying their stomachs to eat a new portion of food. Not interested. As I already understood, this is not for me. Bypass local roads are much more interesting and beautiful than autobahns. Here you can see all the charm of the local color of any country. Therefore, after lavender, I went to Italy through a mountain pass along a narrow road. Landscapes around changed every few kilometers. In the villages, the locals would sit around with a glass of local wine or beer. They argued about something, shouting loudly, but no one hit each other in the face.
Glorious population. One got the impression that no one works here, but only sit in cafes, of which there are dozens on just one street. Cafe regulars always vigorously discuss a passing local beauty or a tourist.
These are the girls who rest there.
Any body of water is a place to relax. Swimming everywhere. I especially liked the exquisite Gorges du Verdon Canyon in the Verdon Reserve. I advise everyone. Indescribable beauty. Thousands of tourists come here. Warm water and beautiful nature do their job. I really liked it, but apparently I booked a hotel in Turin Italy in vain. Stay in this canyon for a week. Especially as I understand that this place is liked by the elite. Lots of young people in cool cars. In a word, this is a heavenly place.
I've had a little swim here. The vodka is great. Very beautiful.
After looking at the surrounding beauty, I went further into the mountains towards Italy. The road is so narrow in places that sometimes you had to back up to let an oncoming car pass. It's like two sheep met on a narrow path. None of them wanted to give way to each other. I am a guest, and therefore the first one gave way to an oncoming car. The narrow road led me to a high pass, where there is no road at all, but almost a single path. For a long time I climbed uphill along it, which can not be said about motorcyclists. They, like suicide bombers, rush at high speeds, where even walking is dangerous. Having reached the height of the pass sol d Allos 2250 meters above sea level, I stopped for a rest. Beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and ranges. In winter, it seems to be even more beautiful. Walking on the grass, lying down a little, got enough of the clean mountain air, took a sip of the purest mountain water, and again on the road towards Italy.
She was already very close, but more on that in the next story.
Aerial view of the canyon. I sat on a rock for a long time and admired the beautiful view.
Who will be in the area of the Dolomites of France, be sure to come here.
