Stayed three nights in March 2024. It’s difficult to talk about cost, if in terms of price and quality it’s expensive, on the other hand this is the center of London!
The hotel itself is small, there is no reception or lobby as such, there is a small window at the entrance and two entrances to the rooms. I had room 44 and it was on the top floor (55 steps up and, accordingly, there is no talk of any elevators). The room was for three and there were two single beds and one double. One chair! A small table is attached to the wall, near it are sockets, USB, on it is a kettle and a hairdryer. There was only one tea bag, but there was plenty of coffee and sugar. A small closet for jackets (the length of a coat does not fit), and there are two more sockets in it. Mirror and TV. There is also a bedside table with two drawers. There was a safe in the room, but it was not working (there was no battery, but I didn’t need it, so it didn’t bother me, just like the TV remote without a battery).
A toilet and a working heated towel rail, a shower cabin with two showers, shower gel and bottled soap, nothing else from hygiene products. Everything is very modest. It's cold, and an attempt to turn the battery regulator did not lead to success. But the floor is warm and the sanitary room is also warm. No cleaning was done and there is information about this.
You can have breakfast at the establishment across the street, but it is better to make a reservation there in advance. WiFi available. I can’t really say anything about the staff because I haven’t encountered much.
Of the minuses:
- non-functioning safe and remote control;
- falling off TV mount;
- lack of elevator;
- view from the window to the courtyard;
- lack of breakfast;
- the license plate is in a state of disrepair (shabby paint, rusty USB);
Pros:
- convenient location in a quiet area within a five-minute walk from Victoria station;
- there is a European socket;
- warm floor;
- working heated towel rail.
