Good day to all. I would like to share my impressions about the rest spent at the PORT AVENTURA 4 * Hotel, which my wife and grandson spent 4 years in the period from 03 to 17 September 2016. Good day to all. I would like to share my impressions about the rest spent at the PORT AVENTURA 4 * Hotel, which my wife and grandson spent 4 years in the period from 03 to 17 September 2016. I will not write negative and positive reviews, but I will write about the reality that exists. We arrived at the hotel late in the evening. We were greeted at the reception by a charming lady who spoke fluent Spanish and English. As true Russian tourists, we do not speak other languages except for Russian and Russian obscene, but this did not prevent our communication. The hotel has free WI-FI, and I immediately connected an online translator, which helped us out. In the future, at the reception, I talked with two girls speaking Russian. The hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly. If you say hello (hola (Spanish.
) - hello) before contacting and smile, then you will smile back and you will learn everything you need. From the hotel, using the card from the room, you immediately go to the amusement park (very convenient). Breakfasts and dinners are served in two restaurants located on the territory of the hotel. But if you took full board, because you have a small child and you need to feed him lunch, then get ready for surprises. You will be given lunch vouchers that you can only use within the amusement park at designated fast food restaurants. One ticket for an adult costs 17.4 euros, and for a child 9.6 euros. From this calculation, you will be offered a set lunch, but we took only what we wanted. You have to be prepared for the fact that the children's lunch, this is a burger with fries, everything was Americanized, but for the grandson we took a vegetable salad and fried chicken.
If you only came to the amusement park and don’t plan to go anywhere else, then you can take full board, but I would not recommend it. The coupons tie you to the park. I liked the food in the hotel restaurants. A variety of meat and fish dishes, pasta, pizza, all kinds of salads, fresh vegetables and fruits, we didn’t get bored in two weeks. We spent several days at sea and it was a little disappointing that we could not sell coupons for lunch. Although before buying this tour read a huge number of reviews. We walked to the sea, from the hill 1.6 km. The beach is large and sandy. Umbrellas and sun loungers are paid, 5 euros per day. I really liked the sea, clean, calm, the water is clear, the entrance is smooth, so with small children what you need. Separately, I want to draw attention to the hotel guests that the amusement park closed at 24.00 and until that time everything rumbles and screeches are heard. On September 9-11, the park is open until 03.00, but on the 12th at 19.00.
00 there was silence. We were going to go for a walk in the park after dinner, but it was closed. As they explained to us, the season ended because the children went to school on September 12th. I will not describe the delights of the park and attractions, because everyone writes about it. But I would like to focus on the fact that all attractions are designed for your height. If you are shorter than 140 cm, then you will not be able to ride many rides. The height of the grandson is 110 cm, so draw your own conclusions. There are very few attractions for children. A little about the rooms: these are not rooms for a long stay, in my opinion it will pull only 3 *. The overall impression of the holiday was positive, if you close your eyes to a few little things.
Bottom line: if you are going on vacation to Spain, then take this hotel only to have fun in the amusement park, but no more. For a seaside holiday, you need a different hotel.

The hotel has direct access to the "Mediterr? nia" area of PortAventura Park, decorated in a Mediterranean style, is a replica of a quaint fishing village, with magnificent gardens and a wide picturesque lake.
I visited this hotel in November 2013 as part of a promotional tour.
The check-in was standard, they filled out the map, issued a registration card, cards for entering the park, and this is the keys to the room, all kinds of booklets of the park, a map of the park, though in Spanish, a hotel map and a concise guide to the entire complex (park, restaurants, hotels, etc. ).
The territory of the hotel is quite large, it has 2 swimming pools, a Spa center, Wi-Fi is free throughout the territory (you ask for a login, password and use it to your health) of the hotel, 3 restaurants, they serve breakfast + dinner, and you don’t need more, because most of the time you spend in an amusement park or on the beach.
Number. We got a bright, clean, comfortable room, in white and blue colors, we really liked the TV - white plasma, the floor - tiles, the bathroom is modest, without frills. There are also Wooddy rooms - family rooms, they have bathrobes and slippers.
Nutrition. There are 3 restaurants, type of service buffet, Mediterranean cuisine, traditional jamon, paella, seafood, fruits, vegetables, salads, meat - there is a choice, tasty, satisfying), there are also 2 A la Carte restaurants, snack bar, cafe.
Service. The staff is friendly, hospitable, always happy to help, they do not understand Russian at the reception, they speak English, Spanish.
I didn't like it: the location to the beach, but this minus is not significant. You need to get to the beach on foot, or by taxi 1 km. All infrastructure in the city, to the city of Salou 1 km.
Hotel benefits. Entrance to Port Aventura Park is free for hotel residents.
I recommend this hotel for families with children.

It was the first time in Europe, we went there because of the park. We arrived at the hotel at night, at the reception they took 13 euros from us, they have some kind of tax (for each person 1 euro per night and how many nights you will stay). We were not fed and were not escorted to the room, so we were tired and hungry and went to look for our room ourselves.

We were not fed and were not escorted to the room, so we were tired and hungry and went to look for our room ourselves. On the first day, we immediately ran to the park. The park is just super, very large, a lot of rides. Living in this hotel, entrance to the park is free, that's where the pluses of the hotel ended. The hotel itself is very small, they feed 2 times: breakfast and dinner. The food is monotonous, the same every day, nothing new is added. Even for me, a person who is not picky, after a week of staying in hotels, I got tired of the food. The room is not bad, but looks shabby. Cleaned every day, no tip for it. The minibar is empty. Animation only for children. So adults go to have fun only in the city. We took one excursion to Barcelona for the whole day. The hotels were asked to leave dinner, because. we will arrive at night, but it turns out that they do not have such a service (no pekniks, dry rations, nothing). We also left at night, we were evicted at 10 am, we were not supposed to have dinner, so again we were left hungry.
Conclusion: it is better to live in hotels by the sea, and go to the park for money, one day is enough to run around it all.

I must say right away that this hotel is different from other hotels on the Costa Dorada! It has a large, green beautiful area, several restaurants and several pools, built in the style of a Mediterranean village! And of course, the most important plus (which is what we actually stopped at) is a direct access to the Port Aventura amusement park - i. e. you can enter and use all the attractions of the park for free an unlimited number of times (a regular entrance to the park costs 44 euros per adult !!! ) - this fact would compensate for all the possible shortcomings of the hotel, but there are practically none!
The sea is far away, but when there is such a park nearby, you don’t even think about it - all the more you won’t surprise us Odessans with the sea)))
The hotel does not have its own beach club - this is old information - a free minibus goes there, but it collects guests from several hotels, and the entrance to the beach club costs 35 euros per adult, 25 euros per child - this is with lunch - but I think that this expensive!
there is no miniclub on the territory of the hotel this year either - this disappointed me a little - I wanted to leave the baby for an hour or two and ride with my husband on adult attractions, but it didn’t work out!
once for the entire stay, you can visit the water park from Aventura Park - Costa Caribe - pretty good - we liked it and we went a second time - for a fee! you can rent a car on the territory of the hotel, also give baby strollers and car seats for rent! in the park itself there is also a rental of strollers - very convenient - since the distances are not small!

Beach: far from the hotel and paid is the only negative. The hotel is ideal for families with children. Recommend. If you want your child to live in a fairy tale for several days, go there. You can go to Reus and Tarragona for a very good shopping experience. And Barcelona is just amazing.
