The hotel was booked for 3 nights in October. The cost for 3 nights was 507 euros. Agree, not a lot! I wrote to the hotel in advance that we had a wedding anniversary and asked for a good room.

The hotel was booked for 3 nights in October. The cost for 3 nights was 507 euros. Agree, not a lot! I wrote to the hotel in advance that we had a wedding anniversary and asked for a good room. We were gladly answered: “Of course! Everything will be top notch!
We arrived in Venice late in the evening. Finding the hotel was not easy. And this is not a hotel at all, these are apartments in an ordinary residential building. We did not find any receptionist, manager or employee. The keys were left for us with a vase for sweets. . . Entering the main entrance, you find yourself at the beginning in a common courtyard, in which either construction or repair is underway. A narrow, dirty and old staircase led to our apartment. It smelled very bad, the walls were peeled off.
The room is terrible! Dirty, small, everything in the room is old, the smell is just as unpleasant. Bed headboards are dirty! The mirror is all moldy! It was a quiet horror... The room is very small, the beds are almost back to back. The room looks much better in the pictures on the internet! In reality, everything is much sadder.
We did not stay in this room. So it was night, we tried to contact the hotel by phone to inform that we were leaving. But no one answered. I wrote a letter to the hotel. In the morning I found that the money was withdrawn from the card in full, no one answered my letter. Later I tried to contact the hotel to clarify the situation - I was ready to pay the 1st day as a penalty - but the hotel did not react - I just took 507 euros for a non-existent accommodation...
It is very sad that the owners do not have any human qualities...
