More about the hotel: I strongly do not recommend companies of 4 people or more who like to get together on the balcony in the evening and have a drink. My friends had a very unpleasant situation when one of the evenings they decided not to go anywhere and sit quietly on the balcony. As a result, even just their conversations on the balcony caused discontent among the German pensioners and the porter came with a remark. After that, my friends moved into the room, closed the balcony and started watching videos on their phones that they had taken during the trip. Well, what kind of sound can there be in clips about a trip on the phone? )) Laughter is simple! And the porter, apparently, was standing at the door and, as soon as they turned on the phone, he started knocking again, as a result, he took the girls to the reception under the pretext that they needed to pick up their passports, and on the way he yelled at them so much that he woke up half the hotel, including . h. me and my husband. Delicious snacks (especially spinach baked with cheese, cheese sticks, etc. ). ALL the appetizers are worth trying! And quite safely you can take one serving for two. Awesome pork ribs, very tasty pork knuckle with a huge amount of meat, leg of lamb! These are our "favourites" : ) Other dishes are also good, but not so good. So, we randomly stopped by this restaurant in the afternoon on the way to the beach, tasted chic squid, wanted to eat fish soup (Zuppa di pesce is exactly fish soup there, and not like in Italy a mix of seafood). In the Italian ratings, it was deducted that this is the best fish restaurant on the island. I highly recommend not to go to cafes and restaurants in the old and new city, where there are barkers. All these places left extremely negative impressions. The only "more or less" places in the new city where you can go without trudging far are Niko's fish taverna and a restaurant-bar with fountains (in a few days, walking around the old city in the evening, you will stumble upon all this anyway : ) In the old town in the narrow streets there are small restaurants without barkers, where you can still find something more or less tasty and fresh. For example, Taverna Pythagoras. There we tasted the most delicious baklava in life : ) Well, quite a fish is okay.
Edem deserves special attention, which is on the right after the exit to Tsambika beach. Tables under olives, swings, some special relaxing atmosphere, like in a country house, coolness during the hottest hours, as well as some of the best lamb ribs in life : ) Even I, who do not like lamb, liked it. For those who love authenticity and new sensations, I highly recommend a trip to the highest mountain village of Empona and eat a goat or a lamb on the grill. Absolutely not the same recipe as in Italy, but also very tasty! Plus, the village itself is very interesting, such old Greek people walk around, they roast meat on the grill everywhere, mountains around, national costumes are sold....Mmm!!!
