The location of Aparthotel SHANTI is very good. The second line, which means you will be protected from the daily noise from the embankment. Walk to the sea for about 5 minutes, maybe a little more. The hotel itself is as if hidden inside the block, only the entrance gate opens onto the street. Entrance to the territory by card, or through the intercom. The hotel has a fairly large underground garage where you can leave your car or rent it. There is also a storage room, which is locked by a hotel employee. So for both early check-in and late departure, there is a safe place to leave your things.
If you want to see a piece of the sea from the window, then there are not many such rooms. 3 rooms on the 4th and 3 on the 5th floor. Although some of them have a partial view of the sea, it’s better not to look down at all. If you don’t bother with the view from the window, then everything else in the rooms is excellent. There is everything for a long stay: a kettle, a microwave, a normal refrigerator, a stove with 2 burners, dishes, a washing machine. If necessary, you can collect water in the cooler on the ground floor. The bathroom is also fully packed, there is everything you need: toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, hair dryer. Slippers and bathrobes are also available. The TV seems to show 20 basic digital channels, we did not watch it purely out of curiosity.
The hotel is very clean. A rare case when you can say real respect to cleaners, this is not Egypt or Turkey, where the dust is not always brushed off even from prominent places. Really clean in the room and on the floors. Of course, there are those who still find fault with cleanliness, but I think this is already pampering. In our understanding, the hotel is cleaned well.
The indoor pool is located on the last, 6th floor. It is not very big, there is no need to compare it with sports pools, and it is far from a basin with a sauna. It is quite normal to swim and play with the child. For the off-season (as in our case) just a great option. There is also a sauna here. Quite a good option for 8-10 people. You need to order in advance and pay separately. In the same bath block there is a toilet, 2 rooms for changing clothes and 3 showers. The floor around the pool is heated, which is very nice. In the closed part with 10 chairs for those wishing to take a break. The pool has a fairly large open balcony overlooking the sea where there are sun loungers. In spring or autumn, when you can’t swim in the sea, you can swim here and sunbathe without noise and crowds.
The staff is friendly and helpful, all issues were resolved quickly.
Meals are not provided at the hotel. Either cook for yourself in your room or eat outside.
Of the minuses:
- formally, you can call the cost of living a minus, the option is not at all cheap for this area. But here who chooses what, if you want cleanliness and comfort - pay;
- lack of batteries in the rooms. In the cold period, air conditioners will have to warm up, after all, we are not in Europe, central heating is more familiar and reliable, especially since there are power outages, albeit not often, but they were even with us.
- I was unpleasantly surprised by the moment of early check-in, we arrived about an hour and a half before the set check-in time. Free and cleaned rooms by this time were. So for this early check-in we had to pay 500 rubles. Against the general background of vacation expenses, this is an inconspicuous trifle, but as a fact, this is an unpleasant moment. We travel a lot both in Russia and abroad, only on this vacation we lived in 3 different places. And this approach surprised me a bit. Our room was already ready. The price per day for Adler is tangible, we had 12.000. Usually, if the room is ready, then they check in in the morning without any problems, and if there are no free rooms, they simply apologize and say that the hotel is full. Also an understandable situation. Sometimes we, since we were with a child, were simply given a replacement number for a few hours. A surcharge for a late check-out is probably the norm almost everywhere, but a small payment for an early check-in...
And this is clearly not the staff came up with, because they paid by card, paying the general bill. Obviously at the reception itself it is unpleasant to voice this to customers. Well, rules are rules. Just keep this in mind when checking in early.
We booked the hotel through Booking, there is always a note when filling out the form - The time of arrival at the hotel, I indicated for sure that we would arrive a couple of hours earlier, perhaps for this reason the room was already ready for check-in. But the surcharge hurt me)))
And since the Aparthotel is very decent, if you are ready to pay its cost, then it definitely makes sense to take note of it at any time of the year. We liked it.
