We chose the hotel because we have always liked this chain and that the InterContinental Ljubljana hotel is new, opened at the end of 2017. Stayed from August 27 to 30.2019 in the Twin Bed Club Room on the 16th floor. Friendly staff at the Club and comfortable bed. Everything else is just terrible! The first thing that caught my eye was the worn key cards that were handed out at the Club on the 19th floor! Then, upon entering our room, we found a large layer of dust on the windowsills, from the side of the bed, and on the outside of the column there was just age-old dust! One of the two mineral water bottles was open! Cosmetics (shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and body cream) were only for one person.

It was not in the shower or in the bathroom! Four small bubbles lay near the sink - and that's it! But the worst thing is that two tubes: gel and shampoo were diluted with water!! ! We have never seen anything like this in any hotel!
When we asked, and they brought us additional tubes, we were able to be 100% sure of this.
The carpet between the two beds was stained; the sheet had a hole in the middle; the coat hanger was torn off; the plafonds of the bedside lamps were dusty inside; the curtains in the room were very heavy and it was necessary to make an effort to open or close them, because they practically do not move (there is no smart home system), one of the curtains was stained; the door by the cupboard on the tea-table was stained with dried milk; dirty marks from glasses all over the minibar shelf; the minibar did not match the price list! ; kettle with very strong scale and rust; the water tank by the coffee machine was unwashed and looked awful old; tea set: there were only two bags of sugar, and for all three days of our stay - they never put sugar! ; there was only one sheet in the notebook for notes !! ! And it hasn't been updated even once in three days!
; There were no envelopes or sheets. There were also no books and magazines, as is usually the case in 5 * hotels.
In the toilet, instead of sanitary bags, two sheets of toilet paper were stuck!! ! And also no update for all three days of our stay!
Used bath towels are not changed, they are simply folded neatly and put back in like new ones!
There are only three passenger elevators, and in the 21st floor building, on which the restaurant is located at the top, you almost always had to wait a very long time!
Breakfast in the Club is very poor, the choice is very small! If you order dishes from the Club's menu, they are all not tasty.
For example: eggs Benedict - the yolk was hard-boiled and the bread underneath was wet; the stuffed omelet was overcooked and dry, the stuffing we ordered was almost not included at all; the cream pancakes turned out to be donut-shaped pancakes and heavily soaked in frying oil; the omelette steak was so tough that it was simply impossible to live through it, etc.
There was no evening cleaning and preparation for bed (TurnDown Service)! Although this was announced, and the Club was always surprised that no one came to clean up.
Throughout our stay, the noise and clatter of pipes between the walls was constantly heard, which created discomfort throughout the day and made it difficult to sleep!
In general, the interior of the Club Room is very poor and made of cheap and very easily soiled chipboard, which leave traces of use. There are no flowers in the room, although they are presented in all advertising photos and even in the bathroom!
In conclusion, I would like to say that InterContinental Ljubljana, which has been open for only two years, already has a shortage of cosmetics, notepads, sanitary and sugar bags! It is a pity that the top management do not care about the reputation of IHG and are not interested in the opinions of customers.
InterContinental Ljubljana could be a great 5* hotel if it weren't for its terrible and uninterested top management!! !
