The food is normal, they sat down immediately upon arrival at 11 am, the girl at the reception is very pleasant.
And now about the main nightmare that ruined the whole holiday. There is only one bar, and it is located almost under the windows, the music yells unbearably until one in the morning, closed windows do not help!! ! Moreover, as a rule, about 5 people rest in it, the rest of the guests are already resting. The manager didn't help at all when we called. Well, then all this drunken company just yells under your windows until the morning... Although the hotel was specially chosen without animators, and extra noise.
Beach: coarse, gray sand. The entrance to the sea is gentle. The sun loungers are excellent, but the umbrellas are so-so. The sea is slightly agitated from 12.00. There is no bar on the beach, and it is not needed there, because it is 150-200 m to the bar on the territory.
Territory: very compact. Restaurant, bar, communal pool. And more about them.
Restaurant: the food is good, everything is in a moderate amount, because it is not logical to make more pickles in this hotel. The hotel is designed for a maximum of 200 people. Serving food on the Swedish line is done by staff. The dishes are behind a glass railing. Ice cream for lunch and dinner. Of the fruits were watermelons, melons, peaches, sometimes grapes. Once a week, the so-called "Turkish evening", with a large number of national Turkish dishes.
Finding a free table is not a problem, basically all the tables are in the open air at the restaurant and at the bar.
Bar: opposite the restaurant. Decent beer. Wine - for an amateur. Map of cocktails made from local alcohol. You can also order Turkish coffee here. Just behind the bar is a communal pool.
Pool: excellent sun loungers and mattresses. Also, there are no problems with finding a free place, when the hotel is full. Sun loungers are located near the pool, as well as on the green lawn around it. From entertainment at the hotel, only music. No club dances and other animation activities. There are no animators at all in this hotel!
Entertainment:
1. A'la carte. This is not a restaurant! This is the rooftop of the hotel, which has a terrace with excellent views of the coast and mountains. Once a week you can visit it for free and you will be treated to a seafood cocktail (there really is only a small shrimp), a fruit cocktail, and a glass of champagne.
You should definitely go for the sake of cool photos, and then run to the main restaurant and have a normal dinner.
2.3 times a week evening entertainment program for guests. We listened to live music (a great cover band! ), watched Latin American dances, and the “Turkish evening” in the restaurant continued with Turkish dances as entertainment (including beli dance in several performances, and with the guests dragging into this process).
3. From the hotel 2 times a week we run a free transfer to Marmaris (15 km). The bus leaves the hotel 2 times for the specified day, returns only 1 time, namely
- you can leave the hotel at 11.30, walk around Marmaris, and return at 16.30.
- you can leave the hotel at 16.30 and return to the hotel on your own (taxi 15-19 dollars).
Rooms: we booked the most ordinary Land View. But the hotel decided to please us with an upgrade. We were waiting for the room from 9 am to 11, and not like the rest of several couples, from 9 to 10 (I remind you that in general check-in is after 14.
00). They gave us a room with access to the pool (not shared) in the new building. Housing for 9 rooms. One long pool for all rooms. The rooms themselves are not large, new, without visible and invisible damage).
Main building on 2 floors. There are also a couple of rooms with access to a private (4 rooms) pool. There are rooms with direct and side sea views. I can’t say anything about their insides and sizes, but I assume that it’s no worse.
Staff: very friendly, cultured, not intrusive. But they only speak Turkish or English, not counting the Turkish girls at the reception.
Neighborhoods and excursions:
In walking distance (10-15 min) market. It looks like a shed, but inside there is EVERYTHING! Rylno-soap, clothes and shoes, fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, alcohol, cigarettes - in general, a full-fledged mini auchan)
We chose 2 excursions: the Aegean Islands on a boat and an excursion to Dalyan. From the personal experience of an ex-tourist worker, these are the best options for this region.
A detailed description of the programs and photos can be found on the Internet.
If your options are:
- value for money hotel
- focused on 5 *, but without luxury frills
- rest without animation, without children
- if you are a couple and want a quiet romantic getaway.
This hotel, in this region, must be taken! We highly recommend!
Alcohol - quite good if taken in cocktails (do not count on the European, but much better than the Egyptian). DJ - a separate person who creates a mood every day with great modern music (special thanks for giving music such importance). Entertainment in the evening: disco, hookah, billiards, live music, karaoke. approximately until 23:00 + -.
Next to the hotel there is a shop where you have everything you need.
To Marmaris 20 minutes by transport, from the hotel there is a shuttle once a day at 12:00, at 17:00 - back, you can also use public transport. The sea in October is warm, about 24 degrees, the beach is loose, new sunbeds. The weather can be changeable, but it does not interfere with rest. There are very cool soft places to relax by the pool.
Room cleaning is average, but the staff responds very well to all comments. Open to communication for which I give a firm 5. Contingent Russians 50-60%, Ukrainians 40-50%.
So, I'll try to be as objective as possible.
I read all the existing reviews about this hotel, but each of them was like that phrase from the movie "Istanbul is a city of contrasts. " After all, the hotel is new, April 2019 announced the opening.
The assessment of vacationers was from 2 to 10 on a 10-point system.
We rested from 9-19.09. 19.
1. We met, saw off, settled, everything was fine here. We arrived at 10 am, exactly at 12 were in the room. The carrier staff is kind.
2. And now about the number. The room is insanely small. They wrote the truth that there is no closet. Therefore, you have to keep things right in the suitcase. Given only a couple of hangers and a shelf for the suitcase itself. I did not understand why it was impossible to hang at least a couple of hooks and put a chair. The bathroom deserves a separate description. It will be difficult for you if you are a person in the body, because in order to enter the bath you must first open the door, then go into the bathroom, and then close the door. At the same time, as it usually happens, it will not work. With my hips of 100 cm, I did not "pass" between the corner of the washbasin and the door itself.
Shower: just a recess lined with tiles. Yes, and very slippery, called "drank too much, do not go into the shower. " I had to wash in it with the curtain open, flooding the floor of the entire bathroom, because the curtain is so dense that when it was closed it became pitch dark. Although, closing the curtain, it still poured onto the floor, because the curtain is very short. There is little light, as in the shower, and in the shower compartment it was not at all, as, in fact, there was no hood. That's why it smelled damp. Such a curtain in the room. After all, the curtains in the room are translucent. Since we, for example, do not like to sleep with the light of lanterns, but there are plenty of them on the contrary. The shower room is full of everything: shower gel, shampoo, cotton pads, whatever. This goodness was more than enough.
The balcony is small. But you can sit together. There are two chairs, an ashtray and a small table. The room has a TV, a refrigerator, which was so noisy and heated that we had to turn it off. The bed is big but creaks. I was always afraid that the legs of the bed were about to collapse. Strange, because the hotel is new. Bedding is changed every 3 days. But on the 4th day of rest we had to go to the reception and ask for it.
3. Beach towels are short. If you lay starting from the head, then it ends just below the level of the thigh.
4. A separate "yell" is the beach and the sea. The beach is small, dirty, and it is difficult to walk on it without slippers. Sharp pebbles, some scraps of dry leaves. The beds are good, solid, but constantly dirty due to the fact that the towels are short. And people get their feet dirty, the sand dries up, but in the evening they don’t wash the sunbeds, but simply shake them off. The entry into the sea is smooth, but the stones are again, mixed with some kind of silt or something. Therefore, in the morning you will see clean water, but by lunchtime it becomes cloudy and unpleasant. But there is a way out - swim behind the buoys, you can also stand on your feet there, but the water is a little cleaner. Umbrellas are made for children who are not in the hotel. Even the lowest person needs to crawl under them. There are no hooks.
5. And now special attention!! ! The beach and sunbeds are located between the hotel and the ROAD! At first I thought that only official cars drive along this road, but, alas, I was mistaken, everyone drives, including buses, trucks, and sometimes 2 cars cannot pass and one directly presses against those lying on the edge. Dust stands in a column, and also flies where the wind blows - either at you, who are sunbathing, or at the local bar, where there is the only place where you can sit.
6. The bar is like everyone else. With regular alcohol and bartenders. But there are only ashtrays on the tables, there are no napkins to be found. The tables are very dirty. Bartenders allowed themselves to take popcorn with their hands directly from a common box or even from a bag that they gave to those who ordered.
7. Meals are "modest". Yes, there is always something to eat. I have no complaints about food at all. A couple of types of meat, fish. But everything is very fried. Constantly the same salads. That is, "tomato salad with cucumber", "tomato salad with cucumber and cabbage" and so on, just add some more greens there. A couple of olives, some cheeses. And for some reason there are a lot of flies and wasps that fly and sit on food. I was afraid to take a sausage in which a fly was sitting. And dirty. The waiters brush the dirt off the table with their palms. I read in one of the reviews that food is not thrown away and then converted into other dishes. Basically, yes, it was. And definitely, what they didn’t finish in the evening is laid out again and again. Sausage with dried edges was more often than we would like. There was also an unpleasant moment: often the food that was quickly eaten, alas, was not reported. Sometimes it was necessary to wait a long time and not wait for the tomatoes, but I am silent about crayfish and shrimps. They, it turns out, were, but the "chosen ones" managed to grab them. The question is: why were they put up at all if there were “a couple of pieces” ?!
8. Regarding the staff. Everyone here is polite, but for some reason they don’t smile, as usual in sunny Turkey. And yet, for the first time I heard a terrible smell of sweat from the waiters rushing between the insanely narrow aisles between the tables of the restaurant. They all walk around in dirty and stained suits. I thought it seemed. But no, at 7 in the morning the suit is dirty, which means it is a priori dirty.
9. There is only one restaurant and it is really small. Can't say it's a restaurant. More like a canteen. People sit very close to each other. So close that I had to quickly eat and leave. There were no hoods, the smoke ate my eyes, I had to run away faster. It’s also unpleasant to listen to someone’s conversations, and even speak yourself. It is not easy for an ordinary person to walk between the rows. I was constantly afraid that someone bigger would blow my glass of water. Glasses and forks are always clean, which cannot be said about tablecloths and chairs. By the way, this is 5 *, and the tablecloths for breakfast, lunch and dinner are the same, with stains in the majority.
10. The complete absence of hoods. All dishes are fried near the tables. There is nothing to breathe. You just sit in a haze of smoke, your eyes watery. You come up to take something and it hurts your eyes. Well, food smells throughout the hotel, especially fish.
11. Another very important point. The hotel is completely soundproofed!!!!! ! We heard everything: every sneeze and conversation behind the wall, someone shuffling along the corridors, as if in their own room, we were thrown up by the terrible knock of doors that people did not hold, in short, everything and everyone was heard. Be prepared for this. It’s good that the hotel is without children, otherwise it would be like in Pugacheva’s video “It’s time for business, but it’s an hour for fun. ” Just as if with a broken head, we woke up every morning. Because we were awakened several times during the night. Yes, maybe someone’s sleep is less sensitive, or maybe someone is so flooded with alcohol that they don’t hear anything, but we are not one of those, so we went to the local pharmacy and bought sleeping pills to at least get some sleep. By the way, there was such audibility in Soviet camps and sanatoriums. On the positive side, you can also hear the sound of the sea : )
12. Animation is good. The girls are very unobtrusive and pleasant. Programs are modest but nice.
13. The territory of the hotel itself is clean, but small, it won’t work out much to look like. You can walk along the coastline, but remember, parallel to the roadway. Accordingly, dust, dirty sand. By the way, the pool is very small (140 cm deep). Usually I saw such pools in other hotels with personal bungalows.
14. Cleaning. Yes, especially it was not. The floors were not constantly wiped down. If we get lucky. Just a change of towels, an addition of toilet paper and soap and water. The bed had to be asked to be changed, they forgot about it.
15. Regarding Wi-Fi. He was everywhere, even in the rooms, and quite a good connection. It was possible to send some photo by messenger, Messages flew with a whistle. Sometimes it wasn't great, but it didn't matter.
As a result, I will say that the VOXX hotel is a pure 3 *.
I don't even know why they got so many stars.
Just when forewarned, forearmed. And you must understand what awaits you.
One man even called the police to Tui's company, made a scandal right at the reception, which sold him 5 *, and he arrived at 2 *, according to him.
Also, I don't understand the positive reviews. It seems that these people did not rest here, or were drunk and did not see anything, or, like our very elderly parents, who first saw the "abroad" and it turned out to be better than a sanatorium somewhere in the Odessa inlet.
I do not recommend to those who are used to relaxing on the clear sea, in comfortable conditions and cleanliness.
Yes, if this hotel is sold as 3 *, at the appropriate price, then it is quite possible to have a good budget vacation, turning a blind eye to dirt and so on.
But for those who are used to and can afford 5 *, I do not recommend it.
In any case, for us a good hotel is one where we want to return again. And such were.
I don't want to come back here.
So, the "pros": the most beautiful sea! Warm and affectionate.
Staff: very polite, incredibly hardworking.
That's all.
"Cons": settled in a dirty room. That is, they provided it as clean, but with the naked eye it was clear that it was dirty. Room cleaning left a lot to be desired. Is always. P. S. The presence / absence of a tip did not affect anything)
Beach: dirty.
Between the hotel and the beach there is a road... a roadway. That is, you can lie down and sunbathe, and buses, cars, etc. will drive by
There is no security. The territory of the hotel is not guarded.
Towels are only changed at certain times.
Sauna and hammam are tiny.
Well, and our audience, of course... as always on top. But this is not a question for the hotel of course.
Of course, everyone has their own tastes and preferences. There is something to compare with and this comparison is not in favor of the hotel. Despite the fact that, again, the staff is wonderful, unfortunately, I will not return here again.
When we arrived at the hotel, I did not believe my eyes and the reviews that I read (+). Turns out they were all bought. This is possible because the hotel is new and they somehow need to attract tourists to be chosen and bought.
The location of the hotel is terrible. There is nowhere to leave the hotel, locals live around in half-abandoned houses. You can only get out on the roadway, which is not illuminated. Nobody wants to go out on it, not to mention walking. This is important because the territory of the hotel is simply microscopic. Everything you see in the photo of the hotel (with the white building) is all there is! The entrance to the main entrance to the hotel is like the entrance to some utility room from the yard.
The beach is also micro, it looks more like a public spontaneous beach. Between the hotel fence and the beach there is a gravel and sand road, along which cars of local residents drive, as well as service cars. staff and hotel, because from the side of the beach there is a place where food and water are unloaded into the dining room. The beach is not very clean, they do not clean out the trash every day.
There is almost no animation, either the hotel ones themselves come up with something like karaoke, or they invite local dance groups for an hour.
Number - a separate song. Something was pounding on the roof all the time, at first once every 10 seconds, a week later, when leaving, every second. The front desk staff said there was nothing they could do about it. The room was not cleaned once in a week, they took out the garbage once, at the request they wiped the floor once. A day later, the legs of the bed broke, they asked to fix it. There were three rows of legs, along the edges and in the middle. Broke in the middle. They screwed in the legs longer than the side ones, as a result, every time we balanced on them, we were tilted either to the head or to the legs. Bed 180 cm long. even with my height of 1.63, my legs always hung down.
The pool is very small and not pink as stated in the presentation of the hotel.
When we checked in, we immediately called TUI, told about what we saw and asked to be moved to another hotel, TUI did not even call us back. TUI representatives at the hotel said that in Marmaris all hotels are like this and with such a beach.
Ultra all inclusive - not ultra at all. The bar drinks only local production. Of the snacks between main meals, only popcorn, which all the time in the stage "ended" at the bottom of the box, and ice cream (not bad).
The hotel is a solid trio!
There is no security at the hotel and there are stray dogs around. Cars drive along the beach, the beach is not fenced and it is not at all visible that someone was cleaning it.
If you expect white sand and blue water, then black soil mixed with water is waiting for you here. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Marmaris (despite the name of the hotel, it is far from the city).
They say that the hotel is completely new, in truth it looks like an old building after renovation. There is no soundproofing at all, it is almost impossible to sleep. In general, the hotel in the photo and in life looks different.
The food is satisfactory, but for some reason all the kitchen staff are dressed in dirty clothes.
I don't know who gave this hotel 5*. Here Maximum 2*
Price/quality does not match at all. In the end, just a ruined vacation and wasted money. On the first day, I just wanted to cry from disappointment and quickly return home.
There is something to compare, in Turkey is not the first time in Marmaris - the first, it's a completely different Turkey. The purpose of our trip was exactly rest, relaxation... and we got it.
1. Settlement. We arrived at the hotel at about 10:00 in the morning, an hour later we were quietly settled, the room was on the first floor, overlooking the pool.
The room is clean, beautiful, comfortable, there is absolutely everything and everything is new. From the balcony you can immediately dive into the pool, which is very cool.
Cleaning is excellent, we left 1 dollar every morning, came to the room and everything was clean.
2. The territory of the hotel is small, but this is just what suited us - everything is nearby, very convenient and compact. Swimming pool, restaurant, bar, sea - everything is close. The territory is well-groomed, beautiful, the sea view from the restaurant and bar is gorgeous.
3. Food - we had enough of everything, every day grilled fish, vegetables, fruits, ice cream, delicious cakes, natural creams, teas, coffee, cheeses. The choice is plentiful.
4. The staff is a separate issue, they are all just smart people. Such a service is rare, everyone always smiles, for one visit to the restaurant - they come up 10 times and ask if everything is fine, pour some water, bring alcohol. Everyone is very polite and friendly. The bartender Shafak is handsome, we have never met a nicer bartender, he is just super!! ! We tried all the cocktails, we liked everything, for all the busyness and fatigue of the staff, they do not show this, they are very diligent. Emrah, Serkan, Erol, Hussein - thank you for everything, you are very kind.
5. Entertainment - something new every evening, we never got bored, the atmosphere is very cheerful and not stressful.
6. Once we went for sushi and champagne - the view on the roof is indescribable.
The sea is beautiful, turtles swim, nature is wonderful.
We received a lot of positive emotions, we will recommend the hotel to everyone.
