A flight from Vilnius will cost a little more, but you will get to Vilnius much faster to Warsaw.
And most importantly, the earlier you buy tickets, the cheaper they will be.

What to watch?
• The neighboring ancient town of Simbario with a population of just over 1.000 people, where old houses, streets, churches and buildings are quiet and there are no tourists, cafes for locals with low prices, a supermarket. Local people are engaged in agriculture. And quiet deserted streets will help you plunge into past centuries.
• The Botanical Garden of Soverato, opened on the site of a former landfill. Today, over a thousand species of Mediterranean and exotic plants grow in this garden, overlooking the Gulf of Squillace and lying at an altitude of 50 meters above sea level. Here you can also see four anti-aircraft installations from the Second World War, interconnected by underground tunnels.
• The Church of the Madonna del Rosario and the Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Soverato, from the porch of which there is a wonderful view of the Squillace Gulf, the ruins of the ancient city walls with three round towers, and the tower of the 16th century, which was once part of the coastal defense system erected by Charles V for protection from the Turks

Personally, I would rather be on a farm in a hotel and enjoy fresh air, virgin nature and an atmosphere imbued with the spirit of ancestors who lived here several centuries ago.
Which beach to choose?
You can go swimming and sunbathing in Soverato. There the coast is very wide and sandy, occasionally small pebbles come across. An ideal beach for families with children.
There are almost no waves, the water is calm, very clean, sparkling and warm. About 5 meters deep into the sea is safe, but then you have to be vigilant, as it gets quite deep. There is a lot of tourist infrastructure here.
The second beach of Montepaone Lido is less crowded, although there are also shops, cafes, restaurants and other entertainment. In the northern part of the coast, small mountains come right to the water's edge, it's insanely beautiful. Shore and bottom: sand and pebbles.
Both beaches are equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas and are well cleaned, washed by the Ionian Sea.
Where to go with children?
On site, children can swim in the warm water pool or play in the playground.
Not far from the hotel in the city of Simbario is the Mondo Della Preistoria (World of Prehistory). There you will see different stages of dinosaur evolution with huge dinosaur statues, information boards and fictitious excavations of dinosaur skeletons.
Children are delighted with this park, and are happy to take photos next to the dinosaurs. There are also picnic tables, a cafe where you can eat and a souvenir shop.
Soverato has a local aquarium.
The beaches at Montepaone Lido and Soverato also have plenty of activities for children.
What food to try?
• Ravioli (with different fillings, I especially liked the stuffed fish and seafood). It is a myth that ravioli are Russian dumplings, they are completely different.
• Pasta with seafood. Not to be confused with our naval pasta. Italian pasta is cooked with special sauces, and freshly caught seafood in Italy is very different from our frozen ones.
• Sorbetto (Sobetto) - ice dessert from sunny Italy.
There are many different types of Sorbetto, this dessert is prepared with different fruits and ingredients and different consistencies, in glasses with a straw, as ice cream with sweet sauces and cream, and even as frozen popsicles. In hot weather, this thing is indispensable, light, with small pieces of ice, refreshing and healthy, as it contains many vitamins and nutrients.
These are just a few of my favorite treats, try them all! There are no dishes in Italy that you don't like. Everything there is delicious.

But, do not forget, we are in the very south of Italy, and there at any time the sea will be warm as fresh milk.
