Over the years, it has lost its positions very much, it really needs to be updated. And in the rooms somehow everything is also time to update. On the balcony there is one plastic chair and one small table. Room, for a second, double. That is, one of the guests can sit on the balcony, and the second cannot keep him company.
Towels on bail, or rather - they give a card - you get a towel at the SPA center, when you return the towel back, the card is returned. And, if you don’t hand over your card at check-out, then they take a fine of 20 euros. On the beach umbrellas - with rusty legs. To the beach itself - no questions. But here's the equipment ...everything is sad.
In the evening at dinner - the tables are arranged in such a way that you constantly have to maneuver with food, fearing that one of the vacationers can be accidentally hurt. For dinner, there is a queue. Although the trip was out of season already. But at breakfast - coffee is poured by the waiters, almost 2 people at each table. Well, at least you don’t have to push with anyone at breakfast - and that’s good. At dinners, from what I once remembered, there was live music. This is the way it is, as it was before.
In general, if you only need a beach and the sea, then you can go to this hotel. And if you want service and comfortable rooms, then you should probably look for something else. Although, maybe next season in this hotel something will change for the better.
Perhaps I had too vivid memories of my long-standing visit to the Mediterranian, and therefore my expectations regarding the stay in this hotel this year did not materialize.
- good spacious rooms. Comfortable beds, large. Clean bathroom and room in general, great view from the balcony.
-excellent breakfasts, they were full, and there was always something for the child to eat
-the presence of a nanny and a kids club, parents could also relax a little without fear for the child
- good beach, clean.
-large swimming pool, cleaned often
- friendly staff, courteous, responsive.
- very nicely decorated territory, a lot of greenery
In general, the hotel meets its price, we will definitely come back))
1. Triple sockets (English), you need an adapter.
2. All beaches are public (sunbed 2.50 euros / umbrella 2.50 euros). There can be: either stone slabs, or volcanic sharp stones, or small paddling lagoons. The sand is either asphalt in color, or like lake-river mud, or light.
3. The best hotels in all respects are only Anassa and Columbia.
4. Bottled water is free only upon arrival, even in 5 star hotels.
5. In 3-4 star hotels, most often there is an extra charge for a safe, air conditioning, refrigerator, internet.
Mediteran 4
1. The first general impression: an updated hull, inside is light, spacious, pleasant.
2. First line, east of the center of Limassol between Four Seasons and Amathus.
3. The territory is zoned, with privacy zones, overgrown vegetation.
4. Beach across the promenade, public with asphalt-colored sand. lagoon.
5. Sunbeds and umbrellas by the pool can be booked in advance free of charge.
6.
Best in Nutrition: Spinach pie, blue cheese, shrimp. Yuppies juices, instant coffee.
7. There are only news channels in the rooms. No music, no Discovery, no Animal Planet, no children's channels. Fragrant cosmetics Prija.
8. Sauna and steam room by appointment for extra. fee.
9. Internet is free everywhere.
Conclusion: adequate 4 stars for those who do not watch TV, do not swim in the indoor pool and put up with instant coffee and yuppies.
A big minus is the lack of dryers on the balconies in the rooms with sea views (there is 1 string in the bath, but alas, the laundry did not dry there) and everyone dried their bathing suits on the balconies, spreading them out on the table and chairs. There are dryers in the rooms "on the road". Safe in the room is free. There is a hair dryer. Our electric plugs require an adapter. We did not buy it, but asked at the reception, however, like an electric kettle. Yes, a deposit of 100 euros is required upon arrival. There are several buffet restaurants on the territory of the hotel, breakfast, lunch and dinner are held in 3 different restaurants (it is not customary to wear shorts for dinner). We only had breakfast (everything is fine, everything suits us). And for dinner we went to various restaurants, taverns, of which there are many across the road (or along the sea). You could also buy lunch / dinner at the hotel (30 euros per person, without drinks). But outside the territory it turned out cheaper (and with wine). Food, wine in Cyprus is excellent! ! !
Wonderful live music in the evenings (until 23-30). There is no animation in the hotel (for us it is +). We went to Limassol a couple of times (bus N30 runs in 15 minutes, to the stop "Old Port", fare 1.5 euros, drive 30 minutes). We walked around the old city. We like to see the sights on our own, not to be "tied" to excursions ...The excursion program was presented quite diversely. In general, we had very pleasant impressions from Cyprus ...This hotel is for beach lovers.
Room Tip: Rooms with a sea view are quieter and have a great view in the morning and evening.
The rooms are not very spacious, the furniture is old. Cleaned well, quality cosmetics
The food is delicious, the choice is large. Therefore, despite the fact that almost the same thing is served every day, you can always choose something new. At dinner every evening a new entertainment program
The territory is well-groomed, clean, green.
Beach with gray volcanic sand - for this reason the sea does not have complete transparency, but the water and the beach itself are very clean.
It is better to visit restaurants either in the hotel itself or in nearby ones, for example, at the Four Seasons Hotel.
Tours are quite simple, so for those who have managed to visit a lot, there is nothing to see.
There is nothing special to buy, incl. in Limassol in the Mall. There is a good duty free shop at Larnaca airport, so it is better to buy souvenirs there.
Place for a beach holiday
By settlement. We were ready to wait until 14, because. Arrived at the hotel around 10 am. But while filling out the questionnaires, we were told that the room would be ready in half an hour. So they settled.
They only took breakfast. Excellent breakfasts. Pancakes, omelettes, yoghurts, etc. Dinners can be paid at the hotel and it is cheaper than buying everything at once. But we liked to walk around the neighboring taverns and restaurants and try the local cuisine. And there are sooo many of them. On average, you need 20 euros per person. Please note that the portions are very large. Take everything that you didn’t eat with you, there will be dinner or lunch the next day. Please note that regular rooms do not have a tea set.
Something I did not really notice the Wi-Fi problem. It is free in the lobby, but there were never many people there.
I confirm the advice to take a room with a sea view only because from 11 pm and somewhere until 3 am there are stages along the road and the roar of engines interferes with sleep. I had to close the balcony door and open it only at night.
Beach own, ie. You don't have to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. Sandy, gentle entrance. Great for kids. But the color of the sand is dark grey. volcanic. Therefore, the water is not turquoise, but clean and transparent.
There is a bus to the city. 1.5 euro ticket. Walk far - checked, but saw the beauty of the coast. (About 10 km). You can buy water and groceries in mini markets right in front of the hotel. Go through a few, tk. selection and prices vary. You can go by bus to the big market DEBENHAMS, It's before reaching the city center. At the end of the bus there is a shopping center MY MOLL. It's just entertainment, cafes and boutiques. There is NO grocery.
Russian is spoken almost everywhere. And in general, LIMASSOL is a "Russian city". In the hotel, many also speak Russian, or at least understand.
