The food is excellent, crabs, shrimps, mangoes, pineapples, in short, everything was at an excellent level, the food is really excellent. Many bars, snacks, lunch can be spent in a restaurant by the sea. Heated pools, slides for children. The sea, what a sea)) One pier, one pontoon. There are corals, there are fish. A huge plus for vacationing with children is a sandy beach and the possibility of entering the sea from the beach. The depth depends on the tide. The difference is from 0.5 m to 1.5 m. Our princess did not get out of the water. The animation, if purely compared to Sunrise, is weak. Wi-Fi is everywhere in the hotel, the card was bought in vain. We recommend it to those who want a normal and not too expensive Velkom. Oh, well, you're probably interested in how the orcs are. The orcs were really there, there were Europeans, Kazakhs and our beloved Ukrainians) Our national symbols must have burned the mokshan well, but they didn't show off, they just looked at each other. The bartenders know a couple of phrases in Ukrainian, you will be pleased.
Have a nice rest everyone and we will come here again.
Neither the receptionists of this hotel, nor the Guide from the Biblio Globus provided a map of the sanatorium, which is of enormous size. They didn't even say that such a scheme exists. As a result, several times we got lost in the hotel and only on the 3rd day did we find the best way to the dining room. Imagine: lunch time, heat and the search for a dining room by two elderly people. No information was given about the existing buses and their timetables.
2) Poor organization of communication between the room and the center of the hotel. The lack of a phone book with reception numbers and other services in room 351. As a result, when the lights went out, they did not know where to call and what to do. If a person became ill or an emergency happened, he would be alone with his problems.
3) Bad internet.
Upon arrival, Wi-Fi did not work, they fixed it only after 3 days, and even after that Wi-Fi slowed down and periodically cut down for several hours.
4) A mocking attitude in service when ordering food in the room. There was no menu in room 351 for the entire period of our stay, and the order for breakfast through room service was realized only an hour after the request for it. Instead of a real breakfast for two people, 20 different types of flour products from white bread were brought: fried bread, cakes, rolls, etc. They demanded 11 dollars for this amount of monotonous food. Complaints at the reception about the monotony of breakfast (only flour products) did not lead to anything. Moreover, the reception staff showed indifference and even anger at the comments made. At checkout, we were forced to pay for this “breakfast” (we immediately returned it), although we were given assurances that they would not charge us money for this.
5) City tour (review) was an imposed visit to various retail outlets. The guide Yana from Biblio Globus immediately brought us to an oil store, where prices were 2 times higher than pharmacy prices. Then she took us to a clothing store, where, again, prices were 2 times higher than usual. These visits took up the lion's share of the excursion. Instead of showing the Soho area and having a good dinner, we were forced to visit a bad fish restaurant. Finally, the guide did not indicate the location of the bus on which we had to return to the hotel, we had to look for it for an hour. Yana herself ran off alone to the bus without worrying about the rest of the group.
6) Lack of good animation.
Animation in the hotel is boring and monotonous.
7) Repairs at the hotel during the holidays.
Since our arrival, the hotel has been undergoing renovations all the time, and vacationers were forced to breathe dust and contemplate dirt next to the dining room.
Conclusion.
The hotel does not live up to its five star status and the price it charges for a stay. The organization of recreation is not respectful, but in some places dismissive in relation to those who have bought vouchers. The performance of duties by staff is negligent.
The Grand Chef was personally present at lunches and dinners - he asked - how do you like it? Is everything delicious? Forks and knives in special closed packages, marble tables are immediately processed, as soon as the guests get up, in front of new guests! The most delicious coffee in the lobby bar! The coffee is pretty decent! Cocktails - mojito and gin - tonic - ok! My husband drank beer, rum and cognac - he said very much nothing! The staff is responsive, do not run - fly! Give me a dollar - you have a table and your drinks - they are already standing! All smarties!!!
In terms of animation - our girls - Olya, Anya, Kiwi, boys - Koko, Shbl - super cool, funny!! ! On the beach, the staff is also great - they will rearrange the sun loungers, if necessary, move the fence from the wind, ice cream - 4 types (strawberry, mango, vanilla, chocolate) from 10 to 17, all drinks and coffee will be brought to you, at the first call! The beach is long, clean, the reef is beautiful - two piers! The Italian a la carte restaurant Casa Mia is the only disappointment - the salmon is dry, the seafood soup is worse than in the main restaurants! Panna cotta rubber and tiramisu just zhah! In general, we left IT and went to eat at the main restaurants Lina and Dana - we enjoyed it! So if you have ever been to a decent Italian restaurant - DO NOT waste your time!!!
Also in sports - my husband loves volleyball, thanks to Sergey Anatolyevich from Zaporozhye - he organized people on the volleyball court - 3 teams each! Everyone's gone!! ! A hotel with a huge beautiful, green area - herons walk, birds sing - really the Sultan's Gardens! We were not lucky with the weather on the first day, only plus 18 (you can’t buy the weather), but then 20-21, the sea 23-24, we swam and managed to get a tan! From the second visit to the hotel - pleasant bonuses - an individual transfer (mandatory at the request of a travel agency), a higher class room (if you have a garden, they will give you at sea without surcharges), discounts on the tour! We want to come here for the second, and third, and fifth time! A lot of people and the fifth and ninth time - my husband and I were pleasantly surprised!
WE RECOMMEND DEFINITELY! GOOD SERVICE AND HIGH LEVEL for reasonable money! THANKS TO THE SULTAN FOR THE HOLIDAY!! !
We read the reviews, really wanted to get into your hotel, and now the X-hour has come, but unfortunately, instead of delight and joy, we got utter disappointment...
And now specifically and in fact:
1. Rooms
We bought rooms overlooking the garden, upon arrival we were solemnly handed a room with a view of the construction site, I think it is logical to assume the level of happiness at that moment, of course we asked to change the room, and cheers, thanks to the hotel, he went to meet us and they gave us a nice room overlooking the basketball court and a piece of the sea. BUT I wanted to note the very fact that a hotel that positions itself as an elite / premium (based on the price tag and reviews of tour managers) ALLOWS ITSELF to offer such rooms to guests? That is, the type can give a ride and someone will be happy with it?
2. Nutrition
This is the main pain, after reading reviews about seafood, shrimp, a wide variety of fruits, including the presence of mango, we arrived and was horrified.
Feta cheese was not at breakfast, I had to go and beg, since after the requests he appeared, and did not leave the table throughout the rest. Again, that is, the administration squeezed it in the hope that it would give a ride ?? ? in hotels, a permanent ingredient is cheaper than your feta, but you don’t have it, this is not the norm
Mango, the seasonal November fruit of Egypt, the hotel again clamped down and did not put it on the buffet, explaining that the season was over... Are you serious?
In Cairo mangoes are in bulk, there are tons of mangoes in the shops behind the hotel, and it costs $ 1-2 for you to buy it dearly? Then remove the stars and sell the hotel for less money
There is a separate conversation about seafood, shrimp were given only once a week, and I had to beg the chef for these same shrimp, because he put 2-3 pieces and reported with great discontent
During the week there were overcooked crabs, rubber octopuses, yes they were, but you don’t know how to cook them deliciously.
The squid rings were overcooked, thanks for the upset stomach, it was great
This is an objective opinion, there is something to compare with. I am writing this based on visiting at least 8 hotels in Egypt, approximately in the same price category, so your seafood is tasteless.
Your pastries, croissants with a disgusting smell of margarine, in general, pastries are they from which stall?
What's the problem with setting up a bakery where you bake fresh bread instead of those fluffy nasty buns. . .
By the way, in hotels at a cost lower than yours, it is available, amazing bread, croissants are baked, I remember with a smile.
You cook sandwiches for lunch, a dubious dish for a 5 * hotel with your price tag (usually a snack at a beach bar), but since it so happened that this delicacy took pride of place on an already modest buffet, then please make them not sweet buns, this is a mockery
Sausages for breakfast of one kind, tasteless, prehistoric cannelone, and the buffet itself is very, very SMALL, apparently served according to the principle - saving should be economical.
In general, this is a complete shock, such dumb food in a hotel with such a price tag, I repeat, there is something to compare with hotels in your price category, and hotels a little cheaper, in which the food was MUCH TASTIER, unfortunately I can’t name the hotels, because. my review will sound like an advertisement and it will be deleted.
BUT with all this horror of your hotel, there is an amazingly wonderful staff here, the guys are the waiters Aziz, Mahmoud, the assistant with the luggage Said, the chef who makes the pasta is a young smiling guy (unfortunately they didn’t remember his name, the pasta is very tasty by the way, this is the only joy on seam table) thank you very much, you are great.
In general, total:
The hotel is not worth the money, food for the top three, take off from the starting price of 350-400 euros and this will be your Red price, you do not match the declared stars and the price, a disgusting vacation, thank you for this.
If you have any questions, I will answer each one with reason.
We looked at the reviews, but, as always, I didn’t really believe that everything was so cool. So, this is really amazing! The kitchen is brilliant, the coral reef is beyond expectations, large area, comfortable rooms, etc, etc. Eleven out of ten on all counts.
The only thing - do not try to swim after sunset either in the sea or (it is not clear why? ) In the pools. But it's easy to survive, it's minus two hours to our Samara time, so we unexpectedly became early birds.
Settled in building 4 (numbers start at 4). This is the closest building to the beach / sea - walk 3 minutes, but farthest from the pools, dining room and reception. And it's all uphill!!
The room is very good: everything is clean, repaired, everything is in the shower (gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion), replenished as soon as you take it. There is a bathrobe, slippers and other accessories. In general, in my practice, this is the best room filling in hotels of this type (there was an ashtray and even a soap dish : )). The guys asked for a toothbrush, they immediately brought it. There are not enough clothes dryers for everyone, but we (at my request) were put on the next morning.
The beds are good (although the pillow is hard, but you get used to it), but I had to quarrel in order to sleep on a large bed (I was the only one in the room) - you see, only couples can live in rooms with a large bed. Moreover, the receptionist apparently lost all the skills of extorting money, tk. his pathetic attempts to scare me (I found you a room with a large bed, but it is not on the first line and far from your friends) did not lead to anything and I lived in an excellent room next to my own and on the first line (the first was only a diving center : ))
In a room for three I saw 3 full beds, and it was the closest room to the sea, so this room also has its advantages))).
The hotel has a quiet area (no music, animation, children) on the beach and in the pool. The dining room has an adult-only area. From the animation, I liked the parties on the beach at 11.30 - foam and holly (Indian festival of colors). In the pool, the floor is sloping and rough with bare legs, it is not very pleasant to stand on it - in half an hour of water aerobics, I rubbed my thumbs and heels into tatters.
Nutrition
The food is varied and you can always find something to your liking. Always had a grill, and seafood. From fruits: watermelon, figs, melon (green is sweeter, apparently local, and orange seems to be imported), guava, a couple of times they gave mango.
Sea beach
There is a small sand strip to lie down / sit in the water. On the left is a wooden pier, on the right is a plastic pontoon. The pontoon is closer to the water, so you can see the fish better from it, but getting in and out of the water is inconvenient. At the pier, corals and fish are more diverse and beautiful. Between the pier and the pontoon there is a large coral, it has thousands of fish of different types, colors and sizes. It turns out a huge aquarium. The longer you hang at any larger coral, the more fish you can see.
We were very pleased with the room service, food, territory, attentive staff.
There are many beautiful scenic views and areas for photo shoots on the territory of the hotel.
The sea is wonderful, a huge clean beach, a lot of greenery (not typical for Egypt).
Outside the hotel, beautiful views end, the streets are dirty, a lot of garbage.
Special thanks to the guide named Galal, who has been working as a guide for about 20 years. Smart, well-mannered, educated, knows his job perfectly. It's obvious that he really loves his job. He talks so beautifully, diversely and competently about all the trips that he involuntarily wants to see and participate in all this. There was no question that he did not know. In general, there was an impression that a person was in his favorite place. Well done. If there is an opportunity to go to Egypt, we will definitely go to rest in Sultan Gardens Resort 5 *. Thanks!
