The territory seems to be small, but at the same time there is space, I would divide the hotel into 3 main zones:
- the pool along the hotel is looped (lazy river), in which there are 2 slides, a playground for playing water volleyball, aqua aerobics, a pool 1.5 meters wide, expanding in some places (in the same slides and water aerobics zones)
- the pool is heated in winter, it is not a square, but also in the form of an elongated ellipse with islands, slides, 2 m depth zones, a depth zone of up to 1.4 m and up to 1 m, in the middle there is a bar with a platform where you can sit at tables. The pool is located near the VIP rooms, or rather bungalows, houses with 3 entrances, very cozy by the pool,
-beach, a very interesting solution in a calm bay, the beach is multi-tiered, there are stairs, with children with strollers is not an option, there are many areas for recreation, sunbeds do not stand on top of each other, for example, somewhere there are 3 of them, somewhere as many as 8 , there is a platform where there are 10 umbrellas and each has 2-3 sunbeds.
A separate respect for the pontoons, there are 3 of them, solid, durable, in the form of a platform on which there are deck chairs, an average of 15 pieces fit, descending into the sea along a decent staircase under a slope, it is a pleasure to go out, the children have a small area with sand when the tides.
The reef is awesome, for all 3 pontoons it seems to be different.
Food - varied, seafood for 7 days (namely, shrimp, mussels and squid were 6 times, in the form of soups or lunch or dinner, and just with grilled vegetables, not overcooked, not cotton wool).
Breakfasts are standard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelets are made by the cook and fried eggs.
Porridge, muesli, pancakes, Belgian waffles with toppings, jams, fries, chocolate paste, hummus, fried eggplant, cheese, even a Gouda type, moderately edible, sausages (Egyptian, who knows what), sausage, coffee from a machine ( 3 types - cappuccino, mochachino, espresso), meatballs or liver, feta, pastries, fruits.
Lunch-soup (2 times with seafood, hodgepodge, mineroni, borscht, mushroom puree soup).
Be sure to grill - or cutlets, mackerel, french fries.
All kinds of vegetables steamed, grilled, vegetable casseroles with and without meat, eggplants of all kinds (marinated, fried, baked)
Pasta with salmon was 2 times, just pasta is ready-made, or you can order it from the chef to your taste.
Turkey, chicken, fish, true telapia, all kinds of cooking.
Dinner is everything as in lunch + different types of meat dishes, and roast, and with rice (like pilaf), beef liver, stewed lamb, grilled chicken (like kebab.
Sushi once, in general, an interesting serving, appetizers portioned in cocktail glasses, well, really beautiful and tasty.
Fruits - grapefruit, oranges, physalis, melon, dates, watermelons.
Alcohol is pretty good, without vanilla aftertaste, there is Schweppes, Coca Cola has not been drunk for a day, mostly apple juice, bottled beer (sometimes draft).
Snacks - in the afternoon by the pool - french fries, burgers with chicken (such as shawarma), with liver, ice cream on the beach from 12-30 to 13-30 and in the afternoon by the pool, delicious, dairy 4 types.
Animation - for adults every day and different, I list - ballroom dancing + boy acrobat, competition for the best couple; oriental deng belly dance, tanura, Egyptian folk dances; the Argentine program; Colombian program; the guy sang famous hits in English and Russian + Mr. Hotel; there is always a 30 minute a la disco at the end.
Minuses:
Remoteness from civilization, although it’s not critical for me, walk for about 25 minutes and there is a street with pharmacies, shops and souvenirs, everything you need (opposite the Sultan Gardens hotels).
The beach is not suitable for everyone, its multi-level nature is not very suitable for small children, you can’t pass with a stroller, again, for older people, it’s not very hot in the heat, not everyone gets high from the beach at the height of the stairs.
Children's animation, count no, 20 minutes during dinner
Pool wanted a little warmer)))) have something to compare.
From the pros:
The food is very good for such a price range, I was really surprised - every day there were dishes of shrimp, squid, mussels, as well as fish. From fruits watermelon (every other day), melon, tangerine, orange, grapefruit, pomegranate - every day. Sweets can not be expressed in words, how delicious. I read somewhere that there is a Myshlen Star in the sweets chef. How many were in Egypt and Turkey - in this hotel there were the most delicious sweets, other tourists also confirmed this.
The rooms are very large - I have never seen such large standard rooms before. Cosmetic repairs are also not chic, but quite pleasing to the eye.
The beach is an amateur, maybe not everyone will like it, it is not suitable for small children. We liked it, especially such semi-lagoons in the rocks at a height with the tops of palm trees and artificial grass.
A short pontoon (3 pieces), the bay is not very closed, but it is quite suitable for relaxing in winter, there will be no strong wind.
The reef is beautiful and rich, there is something to see.
Cons of the hotel:
The first thing that catches your eye is the neglected territory, I don’t want to talk for a long time, but whoever goes here will understand what I want to say. The whole territory is screaming that it needs repairs, at least cosmetic.
Wi-Fi must be purchased - $25/week and will only work in the lobby and in your room.
It is inconvenient to go to the only toilet and bar on the beach, as well as showers (you will understand when you are there). For the younger generation, this is not a problem, but it will definitely upset pensioners and children.
There is no infrastructure outside the hotel. To the nearest shops, pharmacies, etc. walk at least 20 minutes.
There are no discos in the hotel itself, for $ 15 / person they are transported to Write Bay. In general, in the evenings, except for the TV in the room, there are no other entertainments.
Bottom line - the hotel is worth its money, the price-quality corresponds, it's definitely worth going to it once, then decide for yourself.
Last year we were in Albatros Aqua Blue 4*. After him, the hotel Jolie Wiley disappointed. Compared to the Albatross, there is not a single plus here. Even if we take into account that Albatross is on the second line, and Jolie Wiley is on the first.
Minuses:
The food is monotonous and not very tasty, there is fish, but it is tasteless, fruits or green or fermented.
The rooms are redecorated, but they are cleaned poorly - the dust on the surfaces is not wiped at all. And by the way, it stinks of sewage in the shower, I had to cover the drain with a towel at night.
The beach is built in such a way that people constantly walk right next to you.
The sea and corals are there, but they are still worse than on the wild beach in Albatross.
There is no way to go outside the hotel - there is nothing there, you have to take a taxi to get to Soho or Naama or to the Old Town. In an albatross along the beach, every other day we went to the Old City for shrimp and mango.
Animation boring uninteresting, no discos.
We arrived at 7 in the morning, refused to settle, but for 10 dollars they settled at 10 in the morning, before that they put on bracelets, we had breakfast and walked around the territory. The rooms are spacious but slightly dusty, the shower room is very tired, the plumbing is old and needs to be replaced. They cleaned badly, superficially (even for a chocolate bar and $ 1). For water, additional shampoos, gels, etc. needed to be reminded.
The food is not bad, tasty, but monotonous, all 10 days the same thing. Horrible fruits - green hard melon and dates. Chemical juices. From alcohol, a couple of types of wine, gin and tonic, rum or whiskey with cola, diluted beer. You need to speak for ice to alcohol, otherwise they "forget". Delicious dishes were sorted out in the first minutes, then they were not delivered. At the end there was no choice at all.
The territory is large, but not well-groomed, repairs, improvements are needed all around...
There are many pools, one with sea water.
Animation - sit and cry. A couple of sleeping girls and boys who, with their whole appearance, show that they are sick of everything, like entertain yourself. The evening show is very weak, most people simply ignored it.
Another story is the beach. Get ready for the fact that you will decently walk back and forth on a hundred steps. For older people and with children it is hard. On the beach there is 1 toilet and 1 bar, where there is always a queue. And if you took a seat on pier 1, then you will have to go to the toilet and the bar on pier 3, and these are steps up and down and again the same. I no longer wanted to drink, not to go to the toilet.
There are catastrophically not enough places on the beach, you need to take a place before 8 in the morning, before breakfast. Sunbeds killed, many in disrepair.
A coral reef of medium beauty, not colored, but there were a lot of fish, there was a moray eel, Napoleon, etc.
Overall, I won't go here again.
There was enough to eat, there were no very long queues, everyone saw quickly, they cooked deliciously. There was a coffee machine, you could cook hay, espresso, moccasin. When they sat at the table, the waiters came up, so to speak, they could bring alcohol or a drink, that is, they no longer had to stand in line at the bar - friendly staff.
We cleaned the room every day, replenished water supplies (2 bottles a day, did not drink all). Twisted different characters from towels. After the beach, wet towels were taken away and dry ones were given out (pleasantly surprised by this attitude).
Rooms are spacious, we had a large double bed, mini-living room (glass table with sofa), large hallway and shower and terrace (view of other buildings, you could arrange a view of the pools, but we were on the terrace and were not normal).
There are swimming pools all over the territory, even with sea water (but usually rested at sea, not at the pool).
Entrance to the sea through the pier (there were 3 from this hotel), there were enough sunbeds (some came vacationers, others went, so even on the pier we could take a sunbed). There was always a rescuer on duty.
Minus: bad Internet, only at the reception, but this is a problem for most hotels in Egypt, so I advise you to buy a local SIM card if it is important to stay connected.
The result: clean rooms, friendly staff, clean sea.
You can see the video of the hotel in great detail, its territory, room, cafe and my review on the video that I specially shot.
There are a lot of pluses and there were not big minuses. The territory of the hotel is really chic, magnificent pools, some with slides. It is a large green area that covers those minor disadvantages that were. The fact that the hotel is located on the first line is very convenient, at any time you can go to your room or vice versa go to the sea. Access to the sea from pontoons, reefs and a variety of fish are very beautiful. The room is cleaned every day, but really the cleaning in the bathroom is not thorough, there is mold. The hotel staff is friendly, but I had to change the room, because the first time they gave me a room very far from my parents' room and I didn't like the view from the room to some abandoned courtyard.
The room was changed to us without additional payments, but they gave us a room in which we had to move two single beds. Although we originally requested (bought) a room with one large bed. The food at the hotel for all 10 days was good, I liked that almost every other day there were barbecues, there were sushi. There was fish almost every day, there were several times shrimp, seafood soup. Large selection of fruits and a huge selection of sweets (pastries). There were no problems with food, there was variety and what to choose and there was enough for everyone. I was a little upset that I work bitterly only at certain times and just at the peak of the heat. When they wanted to ride already at 16.00 or 16.30, they no longer worked bitterly.
I also consider it a minus that there is not a single pool that would work a little more than until 18.00. With so many pools, it would be possible to leave one to be cleaned not at 18.00 but at 21.00 or 22.00. This is missing. The furniture in the lobby is old, in some places I saw stains on these sofas.
During the quarantine period, beach towels need to be changed by calling the reception. The staff understands Russian and speaks - this is a big plus for many. The waiters and bartenders are friendly. Of the minuses: more to relate to our people, who simply throw out old clothes on sun loungers from the evening, thus occupying them. You come to the sea at 7 in the morning, and all the sun loungers that are near the pontoon are occupied ...I think this is not decent and the hotel staff should take care of this - remove these clothes when you open the doors to the beach ...Put them in a special place where they can pick up clothes hosts. And it is also possible to fine those who want to be smarter than everyone else. And then the deck chair is empty ...people sleep in the room ...and you have to look for a place somewhere in a stuffy place, as there is a T-shirt on the deck chair from the evening. I ask the hotel management to pay attention to this and somehow begin to respond. This moment was very upsetting.
They also walk around the hotel and very annoyingly advertise their services: massages, salons, etc. I also think that there should be such services in the lobby, and if a person wants, he can apply. And not when you lie and relax on a sun lounger, admire the room and you are often pulled and offered services, especially in the first days of rest. I don't think it's that good for a hotel like this. In general, a good hotel with a beautiful good area, with polite staff, good location and food.
