The situation on the beach is no better: there are always not enough towels, sun loungers seem to have been picked up from landfills, all different and with defects, there are always not enough places on the beach, although the hotel is not completely full. People reserve sun loungers in advance, leaving their belongings the evening before, which creates additional inconvenience.
The situation in the hotel restaurant is no better: the choice of main courses is limited, fresh herbs are almost impossible to find, and getting a drink at lunch becomes a real ordeal due to being ignored by the staff, who behave unfriendly and unhappy.
But what is most indignant is the attitude towards guests from the staff and security. One of the most absurd situations occurred when a security guard tried to take a scooter from a two-year-old boy, explaining that it was a ban on riding scooters on the hotel premises, although such a ban was not stated anywhere.
In general, if you do not want to ruin your vacation, we advise you to look for another place to relax. This hotel can overshadow even the highlights of your trip with its unprofessional service and lack of basic comfort.
Among the advantages for me personally, why out of all Sharma we choose this hotel:
+ Very tasty food, cooked with soul. Various themed dinners. For lunch every day there is a different dish of beef, fish and chicken. Several types of side dishes, greens, pasta station and fries. A large selection of desserts and, which is very important with children, a variety of freshly cut fruits. There are coffee machines and coolers throughout the restaurant. Breakfast croissants with chocolate spread are just the bomb!
+ Full, gently sloping sandy entrance, ideal for those who need to feel the bottom under their feet; you can swim without corrals.
One of the best reefs in Sharm (I’ve been to all the bays and many hotels in Sharm), a rich underwater world.
+ Territory. There are elevators on both sides, there are steps and gentle ramps for strollers, convenient for children. Well-groomed, beautiful, green. The results are beautiful photos.
+ children's club.
For teenagers there is a Playstation, for kids the employee of the Howaida club offers various activities (drawing, modeling, puppet theater, balls), a bunch of different toys. She communicates well with children of any age. Plus there are snacks at the kids' club from 12 noon. There is a small children's pool, children 2-3 years old swam with a circle, the water was up to their chests, they give circles.
+ numbers. All hotel rooms have direct or partial sea views. Cleaning every day is normal, if you need something, the cleaner reacts normally. Slippers on request. There are connection numbers.
+ animation. There are activities both on the beach and in the pool. We spent almost all our time either on the beach or at the children's club, and in the evening at a mini-disco with the children.
+ there is a daily transfer to Naama, free of charge
+ the hotel is located in a windless area, this is very important in winter. There are no pronounced ebb tides.
What to be prepared for:
- no snacks on the beach. Drinks bar only.
Snacks at the bar by the pool, but if you are with small children, you won’t have the strength to walk uphill for 15 minutes on your hands along the steps or uphill with a stroller. We made do with main meals in a restaurant, or in the sun with snacks at the children's club, plus we took nuts, mangoes, pomegranates, and oranges with us to the beach (we bought several kilos at once).
-the bartender on the beach tuts and behaves as if you came to his house personally without asking and asked him to give him his personal water or pour some juice.
For me, this hotel is ideal value for money, so this is the third time I have chosen it, and each time we remain completely delighted with our holiday here. Gestrelation, the guys at the reception help with solving questions, are friendly, always with a smile.
This time I was also pleased by the manager in the restaurant, who himself constantly “chases” the waiters in the hall and communicates with hotel guests.
In this hotel you really understand that everything is done for the guests.
I'll start with the beach and the sea, because for many this is the most important component of a holiday in Egypt. On the beach of the hotel there is a unique opportunity for Sharm - a sandy beach with a smooth sandy entrance to the sea, fenced with buoys (convenient for children and adults who cannot swim). You walk 15 m deep into the sand and right in front of you is one of the most beautiful reefs in the area! Blue clear water, dozens of fish species of various colors and sizes, corals and other beauties of the Red Sea can be seen right on the hotel's beach! Unforgettable impressions when you are surrounded by dozens of bright fish, and somewhere at the bottom at a depth a ramp "floats" ...In general, an awesome place for those who like to snorkel, and for this you do not need to leave somewhere hotel!
A bar right on the beach where you can get free water, coffee, juice, beer, wine, etc.
The territory of the hotel is chic, the lobby offers a fantastic view of the Red Sea, then cascades, with pools and sunbeds at different levels, descends to the sea. There is a good water slide, which both children and adults enjoy riding. On the territory of the hotel you can move along the paths, or you can use the elevators. Landscape architects did their best, a lot of greenery, flowering shrubs, everything is clean and well maintained! The territory is large, you feel spacious, there is a promenade along the sea, a lot of picturesque paths and corners.
The hotel is designed so that the sea can be seen from all rooms. The rooms are spacious. We had a huge comfortable double bed and a separate good bed for my daughter. Large balcony, where there is a table with chairs and a sunbed.
Each room has a free safe, kettle, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, TV (there are Russian channels), mini-fridge. Bottled water replenished daily. Very good soundproofing, the neighbors were not heard at all, although they were with small children. Furniture and interior are not new, but everything works. The bathroom is large and has both a shower and a bathtub.
The air conditioner is perfectly tuned, not hot during the day, not cold at night. Good daily cleaning of the rooms, all the linen is clean and fresh. The guys try to please the guests, everyone is friendly, if necessary, they quickly resolve issues. In general, all the staff at the hotel are very welcoming and friendly.
Good free Wi-fi that works throughout the hotel, in the rooms and even on the beach.
The food was pleasantly surprised by the quality, although it did not differ in huge variety: there was always fish, several types of meat (beef, chicken, lamb), several types of side dishes, a huge selection of vegetables in various forms (fresh, stewed, in the form of salads), for lunch and dinner two kinds of delicious soups, a sea of pastries, ripe watermelons, melons, delicious fruit mixes. In general, without any frills (no crabs and shrimps), but everything is really very tasty cooked. Chefs are great fellows! Wine and beer, by the way, of good quality. You can always find a free table, no queues, all the waiters are very friendly and attentive.
My wife and I took a few sessions of Egyptian massage in the Lotus hotel SPA, we liked it, there is a lot of interesting things there (feel free to bargain on the price). In the evenings every day entertainment program with music and performances (belly dance, fire show, local folklore, etc. ).
There is also a bar with free drinks, coffee, cocktails, etc. Russian-speaking staff is everywhere, animators work both in the evenings and on the beach, they offer darts, volleyball, zumba, but they are not intrusive.
In general, Park Regency is an excellent hotel, where there are all conditions for a good rest on the shores of the beautiful Red Sea with a stunning reef right on the beach. In our opinion, this is the best option in terms of price + quality ratio! We plan to return here for sure!
Anyway, we all got diarrhea. And queues everywhere: for some reason there were more people, or so it is organized. In the dining room, it's hard to find a free table. There are few free sunbeds on the beach, you also have to look for it. There are not enough beach towels, they run out quickly. Previously, we considered one of the advantages of this hotel is peace and quiet. Now animators have appeared on the beach, loud Arabic music is playing. Internet WiFi is not available everywhere, not on the beach. Biting midges interfere with sleep at night. Well, and other things like that. When you make any request to the reception, the managers do not try to help, they say the memorized phrase "Wait 5 minutes" and do nothing. More sense from the workers who clean the rooms: you can ask them for water, coffee, sugar, soap, an extra hanger or towel - they immediately bring ...
In general, we decided for ourselves that if we have to go to Sharm El Sheikh again, we will try some other hotel.
An excellent sand entry into the sea, ideal for children and adults will be comfortable.
Kids club on the level. The food is good. The coffee is delicious.
The rooms are old but everything works great.
Wi-Fi in the room flies, movies were quietly watched.
My wife - does not eat meat at all and has never had problems with digestion in her life, even with all the "frills" of the cuisine of Egyptian hotels. She is a low drinker, she prefers semi-sweet wine, but since wines in Egyptian hotels are dry and she does not like it, she drinks juice during the day, and in the evening - a glass or two of a low-alcohol cocktail. At the "equator" of our vacation in the evening, I ordered a cocktail in the food court bar for my wife, which the bartender had made for her by the pool the day before, and she liked it - a little rum, a lot of juice and some kind of syrup. She took a sip - "Oh, yes, something is not right at all... ", and did not touch the glass again. And when we returned to the room, she became ill. Sharp pains began in the upper abdomen of a girdle character, nausea, vomiting, chills...
I am a doctor, although not a gastroenterologist, and the symptoms of acute pancreatitis in the beginning were not in doubt. The "first aid kit" that we carry to such "events" is solid... Two capsules of "Creon" did their job - by one in the morning the condition improved, the wife was able to fall asleep. In the morning we decided to go to the clinic, because. although the sharp pains were gone, the pains in the upper abdomen remained on palpation, the wife was still nauseous, her head ached. Pancreatitis is not a joke, but a life-threatening condition, it was necessary to figure it out by doing tests - we "knocked it down on takeoff" and the condition is stable, or just "stifled" and the condition may recur. By 8:00 we were at the Sinai Clinic. We paid a franchise ($30), the rest of the expenses were covered by the insurance company. There are no complaints about colleagues - everything was done competently, blood biochemistry was carried out promptly. Fortunately, pancreatitis was stopped - the pancreas indicators turned out to be stable, intravenous infusions did not have to be carried out, the residual effects of poisoning and gastroenteritis could already be removed with pills, which were given to the wife immediately along with the doctor's conclusion.
By noon we returned to the hotel. I turned to the hotel management that, after all, we took the All Inclusive tour, and not All Inclusive, but something is poisoned, as it turned out.
It would be necessary to apologize for such an emergency, as is customary in hotels of this class (as they consider their own). Since this happened through their fault and through no fault of theirs, it ended so well: with little damage to health, wallet and vacation time, it would be fair to smooth out this negative impression on the principle of "similar-similar". The hotel has an ultra all inclusive concept which will avoid further risks to our health and their reputation. It is $50 per person per day more expensive than all inclusive, i. e. the price of the issue for the remaining 3 days is 450 dollars, and not in cash, but by improving the quality of service! The management called in a local hotel exculapist to help, who began to bleat about the fact that gastroenteritis could be “from a change in water”, “sun” and other nonsense, because. the reasons for this are obvious: the state after a timely arrest (not by their efforts) of an attack of acute pancreatitis. In the end, from the lips of the manager, the phrase sounded: “You will not prove anything, NOBODY HAVE POISED WITH US THIS WEEK. We can offer you a fruit basket in your room as compensation. ” I replied that I was not going to prove anything to him anymore, if the concept of the hotel implies such an attitude towards guests (it was not enough to do this all the time left! ), I will just tell everyone who will hear me about it.
The next day, a guy from the hotel staff approached me and... offered to buy hashish. After I refused, he said: “You are a very good person, I will bring you a marijuana cigarette for free. Gift". . .
Briefly about the "barrel of honey":
- the reef is tired, like hotel rooms and sun loungers on the beach - 40-50 percent of the four-year-old reef remains;
- restaurant - canteen, where it stinks like chicken is fried in feathers;
- you can follow the path of individual products for several days in different dishes;
- mosquitoes are aggressive and numerous, do not react to fumigators, be prepared to be bitten in the very first days;
- without special claims to animation, landscape and pool system.
1. Check-in - immediately within 5 minutes at 6 am. But asked others - some sat until 14.00. Probably due to the influx of people.
2. The room is old, but everything worked completely, there is internet in the room. The view from the balcony is just amazing!
3. Housekeeping and cleanliness suffers. I don't think there are enough staff.
4. Food - definitely not a five star hotel. Did not like. From the word at all. Grill all 7 days the same thing. Not even grilled vegetables. There were no fish at all. There are very few fruits. There were not even dates (there were 2 days). We did not expect this.
5. Reef and beach - I liked everything. All perfectly.
6. Departure - given on the road. Thanks, very nice.
Conclusion - territory, views, sea, reef, beach - 5 *.
Meals, service - 4 *.
The staff is pleasant, cultured, friendly.
For the money we paid, we expected more. Third time in Egypt.
The hotel area is unrealistically beautiful and there is a lot of greenery, I thought that it was beautiful in Grand Rotana, but this hotel outdid a lot of hotels in beauty, I thought that the reef was the most beautiful in the Oasis Blue Bay Reef, but no, I have not seen such a reef in hotels, the reef is like a labyrinth with lagoons, it was very interesting to swim there. Pools, jacuzzis, hydromassage showers, I really liked the river pool in which there is a current in one direction, you can lie on a mattress and the current will carry in a circle, in the same pool there are waterfalls and a cave. The rooms are not new, but cozy, high-quality furniture, comfortable mattresses, air conditioning, a fan on the ceiling worked well, many different shelves where you can place your things, a spacious balcony. All rooms with sea view. In the evening there is a mini disco for children, and after a performance for adults, belly dance, a fire show is very fascinating, live music, karaoke, on Sundays a disco for adults in a beach restaurant.
We arrived early in the morning, immediately put on bracelets and sent for breakfast, early breakfasts from 6.30, when they returned they said that the rooms were almost ready and settled us around 8.30, a very friendly administrator, we asked for rooms next to and with a sea view and they gave us good rooms . Of the minuses, there is no food on the beach, there is only a mini bar with drinks, beach food near the pools from 13.00, but at 13.00 the main restaurant is already open, it is better to go there to eat deliciously. Ice cream is also available near the pool. In the lobby at the reception, you can also sit and drink drinks and smoke, there is no bar as such, there is a waiter who you can order a drink from and he brings it.
Be prepared for the fact that you will have to walk around the territory a lot (for me personally, this is a plus), the territory is cascading. In general, the impression of the hotel is excellent and I want to return here again.
I also noticed that it is here that there is an oriental atmosphere, you can often hear oriental music in the evening, I also liked the places where you can sit on the floor on pillows, they are in the main restaurant and where the performances take place.
