A very secluded and quiet place, which attracts mostly older people, but this is for the best - everything was quiet and peaceful (there were no drunken Russian aunts). A tuk-tuk goes from the hotel every 10 minutes to Campari Bay (this is a pure pass over the hill behind which the hotel is located) - very convenient and free. You can buy fruits there, and you can eat on the mountain, for example, at James. And there are also scheduled minibuses to Patong, etc.
They rented a motor scooter, near the hotel, fell on the first day, paid the owner money for a scratched wing. Hospitals, by the way, in Thailand are very good (if you have insurance).
From the pier, which is in the hotel, every day a boat rides to the caral islands. They were not there, but they were on Ppi. The tour was ordered from the locals, they come to the hotel and offer to choose the one they like from a dozen offers. Everything was at a good level, as for Europeans, and not for foreigners.
By the way, in addition to restaurants, there is a chic Chicago-style bar with live music, which we went to on the last day, because. they didn't know about its existence before. We weren't allowed in shorts))). On certain days, courses of batik, Thai cuisine, etc. were held. for a fee.
The only negative for us (for someone it will certainly be only a plus), the location is far from Patong, taxi drivers wring prices. Although there are restaurants, studios, and shops nearby.
Regarding the beach: you can swim at certain hours in the morning and in the evening, the ebb interferes, the shore is exposed, it smells of silt.
In general, the impressions were positive.
What I would like to advise everyone who goes to Phuket: tune in to the fact that the tides are very noticeable. Yes, you can swim in the sea only 3-4, maximum 5 hours a day (this was the case on the hotel beach), then the sea becomes shallow before our eyes and leaves corals exposed. On the first day I was terribly upset, but then I realized that this has its own charm. You can just walk on the sand and look at the fish between the corals.
P. S. Do not forget to take mosquito repellent with you, there are a lot of them, but these are also trifles.
I had a great rest.
And I wish you a wonderful holiday and bright impressions : )
There were no problems with the flight, meeting and settling. We immediately exchanged part of the money at the airport, but as it turned out, at the hotel, as in the city center, the exchange rate is almost the same, so it’s not worth changing all the money right away.
What is really worth it is to take more cash if you are counting on a good comfortable vacation with visiting excursions and buying souvenirs for relatives and friends. For reference - an average dinner for two in a good restaurant without alcohol - $ 50, excursions with your operator - about $ 100 per person, massage in a good spa-salon - from $ 50. All the same procedures, meals and excursions can be found cheaper at local merchants if you want to save on quality.
I want to write a lot of good things about the hotel. Very quiet, cozy and peaceful corner of Phuket. The hotel is located on a hill, the view from the rooms is amazing, not counting the first floors, where the view of the sea is covered by bushes of vegetation. By the way, the local vegetation in the caring hands of the Thais is a real work of art - neat bushes, flowers everywhere, they are regularly left in the room in the morning, trimmed lawns... The beach in a palm grove, its own, a "tram" descends to it, but the descent is purely symbolic, we enjoyed walking. Only breakfasts were included in our tour, the usual buffet with fresh juices and local fruits, quite decent. We dined at a local restaurant, dined at neighboring hotels or went to the city.
To travel to the city, special bus routes are provided directly from the hotel. The schedule is convenient and the price is quite reasonable. In general, it is very cozy, friendly (a smile is a hallmark of Thais), comfortable and pleasant. My husband and I rated it 4 plus.
Resting on tropical islands, it should be borne in mind that the ebbs and flows are pronounced here. The schedule for each day is in the room, respectively, you can plan water procedures yourself. I don’t advise swimming at low tide - the sea goes 10 meters away, and another 50 meters the water reaches the knee, while most of the bottom is coral, and swimming in the sea is very uncomfortable. But at high tide it is such a pleasure! The water is very warm and clear, the temperature is +28. At the same time, the air temperature in mid-October is +32 in the shade, and for a person unaccustomed to local humidity it is very stuffy, and the night does not bring coolness : ) We saved ourselves by air conditioning in the room and swimming in the pool, of which there are two on the hotel territory.
Traditionally, in Thailand, the rainy season ends at this time, which we were a little worried about, having read about tropical downpours, but we were lucky with the weather - every day it was sunny, it rained over the mainland, clouds gathered over our islands every day in the evening and several times warm rain drizzled at night.
About excursions worth visiting in Phuket - sightseeing, with a visit to the main attractions of the island, temples, a pearl and nut factory (a sightseeing tour is included in the price of the tour), islands (Pee Pee, James Bond), snorkel, feed the monkeys on the island and see the most transparent and clean water; elephant safaris and their shows; zoo and crocodile show; Patong beach - a lot of entertainment, erotic shows in the evening; shopping center "Festival" - buy Thai souvenirs and eat cheaply in a network of local restaurants; fruit market - must try everything!
We didn't want to leave, but our trip was coming to an end. Have a nice holiday to everyone who chooses this wonderful country!
