The territory of the hotel with a water park and the beach is gorgeous, but it all ends well! ! ! !!
There was no hot water in the hotel. Fed terribly! ! ! ! ! In total, the hotel occupied no more than 20 rooms and food was to be enough for everyone, but there was not enough meat for everyone, even 1 piece. The vegetables were not fresh, all the dishes smelled of some stinky condiment. The sauces were constantly windy. The sweet table did not change at all, there were only dry biscuits and very little fruit. Breakfast and lunch were served by those who did not milk for the evening. There was no alcohol or coffee in the bars at all.
Nothing worked in the room. Half of the light bulbs were off, the only table lamp was completely broken. The consoles were without batteries and rewound with insulating tape.
The mini bar is a non-functioning small dirty refrigerator. The bathroom has sand and old plaque on everything. Bed linen and towels were probably washed without powder. We did not even turn on the air conditioners, it was not hot and we slept with the windows open, only applied mosquito repellent in advance.
At our request to replace at least the lamp, not to mention the whole name, no one responded. Complained to everyone in a row (who could be found in the hotel) from cleaners to the director. The most important thing we never found, no one has ever seen it from tourists who, like us, constantly complained. Were we able to catch and talk to any female director who speaks English, we were shocked by her and realized that it was useless to complain, she said - you knew that you went to this poor shitty country, there are some sheep, what are you complaining about? ! ! And in general for such money you will not get more.
The holiday was completely ruined, this is not our first time in Hurghada, we have been to various hotels and we love Egypt very much, but we will not return to Golden 5 and we do not advise you !!!! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
The room is large, the plumbing is working, the bed is clean. Requires cosmetic repairs - cracks in the ceiling in the room, on the terrace, in the bathroom.
Food. Breakfast standard - cereals, milk, yogurt, eggs, scrambled eggs, fruits, vegetables, rolls, cheeses ...Lunch - side dishes (pasta, rice, potatoes, beans), beef, fish the same for lunch and dinner, stewed chicken or fried, vegetables, fruits, sweets. Dinner - side dishes and meat all the same. Had grilled chicken once in 7 days. In general, the food is monotonous, but tasty. If you're looking for variety, this is not the place for you.
The area near the pools is more or less well-groomed, but on the way to the sea there are a lot of destroyed or inactive buildings, which greatly spoils the impression.
All hotel staff are very helpful, kind and ready to help. Thank them very much.
The water park is not included in the price, but when buying a tour, you can pay an additional 2 per person / day. The slides don't all work. The children's area of the water park is large and interesting.
The shops that work there are very good, the prices are adequate, and you need to bargain.
Sea - SUPER! ! ! Big beach. Enough space. There are islands of reefs, beautiful fish, we even saw a turtle with a diameter of about 70 cm and a stingray.
Bottom line: the sea is the main plus of this hotel, the territory is a big minus, the food is normal.
1. Flight.
Hello dear Belavia! As always expensive and neat on schedule! Food is edible. Beautiful plane with cornflowers! Proud! Respect)
Tourists began to shake like Pinocchio immediately upon arrival. Representatives of the tour operator Join UP collected $ 27 from each tourist at the counter: 25 for a visa and 2 for registration. Well, if they really filled out registration cards! They just took money, issued cards and sent them to fill it out! They didn't even give samples!
Thanks to the wonderful girl Inna from the Belarusian travel agency, who warned us and printed out a sample to fill out.
LIFE HACK #1: A visa costs $25 (to Sharm for free), period.
2. Settlement.
We had an early flight and at 9 am we were already at the hotel. Check-in is officially at 14.00. Dear friends! Swearing at the reception and phrases like *I have already paid for the day* and other arguments do not work!
Don't waste your nerves! You came to restore them))
LIFE HACK #2: $5-10 and friendliness will help you quickly check in)
3. Numbers.
The hotel is old, like the Egyptian pyramids (People who produce the so-called renovation hardly understand the meaning of this word! Everything is done anyhow, but quietly and imperceptibly for tourists.
HACK #3: choose newer hotels
4. Territory.
Big and nice green. Lots of palms, tamarinds and all that. There is a place to take beautiful photos) Apart from the fact that I had to walk between the cars ! ! Arab families came to the hotel in cars and parked them outside their apartments. How about making a parking lot? If I wanted to take a walk between the cars, I would stay in
Minsk ((A steam locomotive and a bus go around the territory (who are too lazy to walk). Some of the buildings are closed or being repaired. We climbed into one abandoned house (as my child says) so there were even carpets, furniture, chandeliers, magazines of 2010, pigeons made their nests .
Cool)
5. Water park.
Is a song! Really big and free. My child was delighted! (one of the reasons why we chose this hotel) Except for one unpleasant story. All Arab families mostly rested in the water park. And then two Arabs did not share something and began to swear. After a couple of minutes, both on the one hand and on the other, a * support group * gathered. They started screaming and pushing each other. Chaise lounges, plastic tables and frightened tourists began to scatter to the sides. When they began to build * tools of arguments * from umbrellas and mops, I grabbed a towel and rushed to look for the child! They stopped all the slides, people began to quickly leave the water park, the security service (if you can even call them that) could not do anything. It was like a small Arab revolution. It was scary. I didn't feel safe even in the hotel.
HACK #4: Remember! your safety is in your hands
6. Nutrition.
Normally edible. The fruits looked like they had been sick for a long time. Only the watermelon was delicious. One day there were no fresh vegetables at all, it's good that a group of Chinese tourists came! They were obviously preparing for their settlement) Assortment: Chicken, turkey, kebab on the grill, beef, pasta, vegetables in different variations. The table wine is normal, I didn’t like the beer, the rum is nothing like that). The staff (shabby looking) cleaned everything quickly, but not very clean. On the 3rd day, we were very poisoned (and were not the only ones) and moved from toilet to toilet for a day ((. Fortunately, a compatriot suggested pills
HACK #5: Take your pills. better not be useful than looking for or buying at a pharmacy for $ 20
7. Service.
Badly. Very bad. The level of staff is extremely low. Somehow my daughter and I were relaxing in the pool near the central building and she wanted a glass of sprite. And they didn't let us! Can you imagine? ? A glass of sprite!! ! For a child!! ! Argument: the color of the bracelet (we lived in 4 *).
I said that this is a bad service and I will definitely write a review - they brought 2 glasses of sprite and water and an apology ...but the impression has already been formed. Tourists (there is a different attitude towards Arabs) who are accommodated in 4 * cannot eat in 5 * canteens and even take drinks in bars (((sad of course
8. Beach.
1500 meters?? ? I ran in the mornings and kept thinking: I’m overcoming 1.5 km quickly)) I decided to check on the tracker and ...surprise! 640 meters, half of which are fenced with buoys. Entrance to the sea only through authorized cleared entrances. The beach is sandy, cleaned on time. There are small coral reefs where you can admire the fish. Buy a comfortable full face mask for $10 and enjoy.
9. Shopping. Just bargain))
And finally, LIFE HACK # 6: follow the Muslim holidays and you will have happiness and a calm, relatively clean vacation
Somehow like this.
- (cons): long settlement.
More. The hotel itself was once a luxury five, but time and the human factor took their toll. Rooms with shabby furniture and carpet with non-washable stains, the territory of the hotel is large, but unkempt. Yes, repairs are being made, but they are somehow more cosmetic. The recreation areas are in good condition, the pools are clean, the beach is cleaned, there are not many sunbeds near the pool, you need to take revenge early. There are no problems on the beach, they try to keep it clean. The sea is not deep, sandy beach. There are some corals, you can snorkel, there are many colorful fish in the corals.
Rooms. The furniture is old but intact. 2 single beds, bedside tables, dressers. Everything in the room is in working condition, although not quite new. There is a TV with 3 Russian channels, free internet at the reception. There is a safe in the closet (free of charge). Plumbing is clean, everything worked, there is a hair dryer.
Cleaned regularly, bed and towels changed 4 times a week. Always leave bottled water. Updated shampoos and shower gel. There are no toothbrushes or toothpaste. If you need something, the cleaner will give you at the first request.
The water park is not bad, many slides for both children and adults were not included in the price of the tour, it costs 5 bucks per person per day, children are free. There is no alcohol in the water park bar. Only drinks.
In bars from 10 to 18 alcohol (beer, rum, gin, whiskey), drinks (bark, fanta, sprite, juice - yuppies). Pizza is prepared by the pool, “koloboks” are fried in powdered sugar, burgers are prepared at the beach bar.
Solid food 5. From meat for lunch, fish, chicken, beef. Lots of salads and side dishes. There is no meat for breakfast, there are sausages and sausage, but they taste like burlap. But for children, breakfast cereals with milk, a lot of sweet pastries and desserts, "fruits" (bananas, dates, pears, watermelon, melons), stewed vegetables, pasta. Lunch of everything and a lot + meat, chicken, fish. Soups are not very reminiscent of stew on the water. A separate bonus is dinner. On the 3rd floor there is a restaurant with European (Ukrainian cuisine), prepared by a chef from Ukraine. There is borscht with sour cream and meatballs and salads... In general, as in an advertisement about "mezim". Thanks to Valera (the chef of the restaurant) for a delicious dinner throughout our stay.
Animation is weak. At the pool in the morning exercises, at lunchtime for the children there were inflatable slides in the pool, foam. For adults in the evening paid bar + hookah.
Outcome. Hotel for families with children.
P/S If the tour is from Join Up. Guide Mukhtar is an asshole with a bunch of show-offs, doesn’t rush anything, stupidly sells excursions at exorbitant prices. Feel free to send this schmuck and look for guides in social networks, save both nerves and money. We ordered excursions from Mustafa and from Valentina (google).
