At this time of the year, the water in the sea, of course, is not tea)), only 19-20 degrees. The air temperature, if not cloudy, is about 27, and so 21-22.
The road to the hotel from Dalaman took about two hours. The path from Marmaris to Turunc can be called a separate excursion, gorgeous views open up along the mountain serpentine.
We arrived at the hotel around 9-00, filled out the documents and went to breakfast, after which we were immediately settled in the room, without additional surcharges.
The room was taken by a family, consisting of two rooms, it turned out to be cozy and comfortable, overlooking the sea.
The food is rather weak for five arrivals, monotonous and not very tasty. Perhaps this is due to the small number of tourists at this time.
The water park is open for an hour or two a day and it is located far from the first buildings.
Animation is almost non-existent.
The hotel is suitable for a relaxing family holiday.
Separately, a word about service and food during quarantine: the food is very good, you can eat almost 24 hours a day, in the evening grilled dishes (mainly fish and meat), if you didn’t have time for lunch, you can go to the snack bar for sandwiches and burgers. Cocktails are made honestly, they don’t badjazhat. Now all hotels have moved away from the traditional buffet and food is given out by waiters, sometimes of course they put a little, you need to ask for an addition.
Of the minuses in general - the staff does not know well, one might say they do not know Russian at all, English is better, but there was still a misunderstanding during service. Also, Wi-Fi in the room was barely alive, it was only enough for messages in a telegram, pictures to transfer - you need roaming, which is expensive.
And from the moments that we attributed to the minuses - far from Marmaris, sail 1 hour by boat, the ship runs 1 time per hour, the last one from Turunc is at 6 pm, the bus is a little faster, but along the serpentine.
Everything else was great! But the second time for the same money we want to try a new hotel closer to Marmaris geographically.
Advantages:
1. Wonderful nature and panoramic view. Cool photos for Instagram lovers are guaranteed!
2. Very fast check-in.
3. Several pontoons, including floating pontoons in the middle of the beach from which you can jump.
4. Closed beach. From the word at all)))
Disadvantages:
1. A little outdated building, but it was built a long time ago.
2. Remoteness from everyone and an hour drive to Marmaris itself.
3. Not the most varied buffet menu. You will not stay hungry, but there is no abundance.
4. Weak Wi-Fi.
Now expanded. The place is definitely outstanding. Not a single photo will convey to you the atmosphere and beauty of the mountains that opens on the territory of this hotel. For beauty 12 out of 10 at least)))
They settled us very quickly, although they put 10 bucks in the passport, they gave us not the best building, but with a sea view. Immediately upon arrival, fight for buildings B and C, to whom it matters. We were in the room very little, so we were not very upset. The room was constantly clean towels, clean pillows and blankets. Conder was also serviceable and worked very powerfully. Before going to bed, there was nothing special to see, there were few channels. 2 Ukrainian and 2 Russian, the rest are Polish and Turkish. We also managed to insert a flash drive into the TV, but the TV did not read it))) a nuisance, but a small one)) The safe is also free and working. Nothing was missing from there. So everything you need for the room - everything is there)))
Beach. It's just some kind of holiday))) from different sides of the pontoons, and in the shade and in the sun, a sandy beach, with many sunbeds, which are very comfortable. He was satisfied, everyone could choose the right place for him. The water in the sea is wonderful. Always warm, transparent, but a bunch of small fish that bite on the legs, sometimes on the hands))) only saved by being in constant motion)) then they don’t touch the fish))) We walked along the embankment past the beaches of other hotels - this is a passage yard and homeless people ))) the inhabitants of these beaches immediately grab their bags and look at you with evil eyes, no matter how you steal anything from them))) not rest, but happiness))))
Food. Well, in principle, you can eat, but I'm used to a different cuisine. Of course, no one died of hunger))) But I would like seafood and more beef. Beef was rare for dinner as well. Those who cannot live without soups are a separate disappointment. The soups here are terrible. Any and from the word at all (((Bird and fish, in principle, are cooked here quite well))) for dinner, especially when they cook it in front of you - the fish is especially good. A plus, of course. Of course there are no juices. All sorts of Pepsi and Fanta, but this is a common thing for Turkey. I didn't like alcohol, but I'm not particularly a fan. I drank beer a couple of times and that's enough)
Staff. In addition to the billboy - the staff is not intrusive and friendly. Bilboy did not leave the room until he received a dollar) it’s not a pity of course, but he didn’t leave a choice))) a little sediment)
Animation. Thank you very much for not having it. It's just some kind of holiday))) nothing infuriates me as much as animators))) a definite plus sign)
We didn’t go on any excursions) a couple of times we were in Turunc itself, where the embankment and shops are, bought a couple of T-shirts, which are much cheaper than in our cities, but you had to look for good quality))) whoever bought the original will understand))
Weather. We were very lucky with the weather. There was no rain at all) the sun comes out at about 10 in the morning and sets at 18. Of course, a short stay on the beach, but we were in the second half of September and this is normal. It was also a surprise that there is no humidity in Turunc from the word no))) no matter how hot it is - you never sweat there))) well, of course, if you don’t pull iron in the heat, but I’m not one of those)))
Contingent. There is no cattle. Mostly all from Ukraine or Turkey. There are British, Germans and Russians. All decent people, there were no conflicts with anyone, although I'm still a bully)
Wi-Fi. It's horrible. Works well from 6 to 9 am. Then how lucky and depends on how far from the hotel you are. You can already think of something better in this direction. Minus of course. So who needs a lot of internet or buy a local card or roaming which is not cheap.
Bottom line: this is one of the few places where I did not want to leave and I want to return. The hotel is certainly not 5 stars, but that's good. If it were cooler - there would be a different price. We spent 95% of the time on the beach, and it is sky-high) just sky-high))) who wants to swim around the mountains and inside a wonderful bay - you are here! Who to eat seafood and sit in a cool hotel - you definitely do not come here)
I gave it a rating of 9, because there were still some roughness described above, but the wonderful nature of Turunc more than covers everything))) I definitely advise.
- mountain views
- private beach (only for hotel guests)
- aquapark
- the menu - you can find something tasty, there are grilled dishes for dinner, once a week they "spoil" royal grilled tuna, squid and shrimp salad....there is nothing more to remember from the menu... chicken, beef, fish.... the truth is that everything is prepared variously and tasty...
- there is little animation, but the guys are great - they are trying.
- in the evenings there is nothing special to do, the show is for an amateur....probably designed for the local population, of which there are plenty in the hotel.
- in general, the staff tries to make a good impression, almost everyone smiles and is positive!
Of the minuses:
- the hotel in some places resembles a nursing home for residents from certain countries....for them it is clear that they are trying to create "special" conditions and lick all places....
- for a week of rest cleaning in the room was only twice! (perhaps it was necessary to demand, or they were waiting for a tip)
- upon check-in, we watched how our compatriots invested $ 10-20 in their passports and they were given rooms in building "A" or "B", we did not give anything, we got a room in "D" I don’t know whether it’s worse or not..... to restaurants and the sea to go a few minutes further (back up the hill)
- the sea in our bay is very muddy in the afternoon (if you go knee-deep to the bottom, you can’t see the bottom at all), there is no desire to go into it at all....if you go through the tunnel, you can swim, sort of like in the open sea, but going down the stairs and you can injure your legs about stones. . .
In general, there are a lot of people in the hotel, but everything seemed to me to be positive and the rest was generally good....
There is no particular desire to go here the second time.
We went from Kharkov Aneks tour. Departure at 10.30, everything is clear. Fly 2.5 hours. Arrival at 13.00, hotel at 17.00. It takes more than 3 hours to drive from Dalaman with the rest being transported. If possible, fly to Bodrum, from there it takes 1.5 hours according to eyewitnesses.
We were on the Aegean coast of Turkey for the first time, I always loved the surroundings of Kemer. Also were in Alanya and Side. The area is very green, picturesque and not too hot. The first impression of our bay was that you were swimming in a puddle (in the evening the water was muddy and warm). I even got upset.
But the morning is wiser than the evening, and everything fell into place. In the morning the water is clear, we found an exit to the sea through the grotto, there are more living creatures and the man even caught crabs, it's cool.
The pools were, in my opinion, overly chlorinated, especially the jacuzzi in the spa.
There were enough sun loungers, but if in a specific place, they occupied them until breakfast. The beach at this hotel is separate, the rest had a common one on the other side.
The territory for this region, as I understand it, was large, but in fact, smaller than most 5 * Kemer hotels.
But everything is so conveniently located, cozy.
Food. We all got better and it's only a week! . The food is delicious, not spicy (as my husband said, bland), but there are spices separately and you can season everything yourself. Fish for lunch and especially for dinner every day: tuna steaks, grilled salmon, steamed, dorado and some other small whole fish. From meat and beef and turkey and chicken also in various variations. A couple of times there were squid and shrimp. A lot of fruits. I didn’t eat sweets, except for jams and preserves, there were 20 kinds of them. Honey and liquid and in honeycombs. This is for breakfast. Breakfast is also standard muesli, omelets, fried eggs, boiled eggs, vegetables, fruits, cheeses, sausages, etc.
I read about the old number of rooms, we lived in a 5-storey building adjacent to the main one, the room is compact for three (2 adults + child), side sea view. The room is not old at all, new furniture and TV. The laminate may be a little tired, but not catastrophically. Good bathroom. The air conditioner works quietly, the only thing that pissed it off all the time was to turn it on from the button, when, for example, you open the door to the balcony, it turns off automatically, and you have to turn it on yourself. There are no complaints about cleaning, they cleaned every day, not wow, but normal.
Towels are ok.
Public. During this period, about 50% of Turks, 30% of Poles, 10% of Russians / Ukrainians rested during this period. and 10% Europe. Mostly families with children.
Daytime animation is decent, unobtrusive. In English/Turkish/Polish/Russian.
In the evening we went a couple of times just to live music (I liked it) and the Turkish night (the team was weak). Also, the amphitheater does not accommodate the entire number of willing vacationers, which was strange.
It was not possible to go on an excursion, we went ourselves by minibus from the hotel to Marmaris. The schedule is at the reception. Price 7.25 lire per person. Drive min. 50.
We watched the show of singing fountains, walked along the promenade, it was noisy, crowded, the roadway was close to the beach, a more European version and all the hotels were on top of each other with their small territories.
I recommend the hotel, solid pluses, but next time I will go only from Bodrum airport.
Big buses do not go here, you can only get there by small minibuses.
The hotel is super, focused on family holidays (although we may have been in such a period), nature is fascinating, we even climbed a small hill near the hotel - it was breathtaking from what we saw. The cuisine is excellent, varied and very tasty (fish on the grill in the evening, a lot of sweets, waffles with ice cream and fruits in the afternoon, this taste is generally difficult to describe in words, it’s divine, Turkish ice cream is a bomb delight, I haven’t eaten tastier), sausages, a lot of cheeses etc. you won't be hungry!! ! : )
The room was clean, comfortable, with new furniture, our balcony overlooked the forest and we could see the sea a little. Cleaned and towels changed every day.
Now the funniest and most incendiary is the animators guys : ) a huge thank you to them for the emotions. During the day I didn’t have to be bored, sometimes there wasn’t even enough time to participate everywhere. Every evening in the amphitheater there were performances in which the animators put their whole soul and played to the fullest, at the premiere of "Mexican Stories" I had the impression that I was at a concert of world famous stars : )
After the performances there was a continuation - games, karaoke, live music. And a disco for a snack : )
To everyone who doubts something, I say honestly - CHOOSE this hotel, you will not regret it worthy : )
