The hotel is located next to the Chaika chair, 150 meters from the ski lift. We drove down the mountain and took off our skis literally at the doorstep. The hotel has a rental, it is convenient to leave your skis and boots. And a very pleasant rental resident Anton, helps, advises, literally cares.
When the chair "Chaikai" did not work because of the wind, we ordered a chaise and for 200 hryvnias we went to the Oaza or to the Top of the Carpathians.
Breakfasts and dinners in buffet style. Restaurant and food - it would be normal even for 4 * in Europe, but for Dragobrat it can be considered chic. Almost like in Bukovel, just keep in mind that the price here is 3 times less. If you want authentic Carpathian food, look elsewhere. It's just high-quality and relatively inexpensive European cuisine. For breakfast, cereals, couscous, sausages, eggs and scrambled eggs with bacon, muesli, salad, cheeses, a delicious fruit salad. For dinner, there are always at least two types of meat, a lot of side dishes, a salad. And we and the children always ate.
The rooms are high-quality stylish renovation. You can't hear your neighbors, it's warm. Shower cabin. We had a room on the 5th floor. Walking up the stairs is a bit high, but the windows are to the floor and a gorgeous view of the snow-capped mountains! The pull out sofa for the kids was a bit small. The rooms are not cleaned every day, for which many thanks to the hotel. I don't like it when they take care of the room or take clean towels to wash. There was only soap in the bathroom. There were no usual hotel shampoos, but we had our own, so we didn’t even call the reception.
Wifi is excellent throughout the hotel. The hotel is very beautifully illuminated in the evening and at night.
There are 4 different ski passes on Dragobrat, each one is valid for 1-2-3 lifts. Imagine, we were traveling with children, and we had to carry 16 cards with us! Each card has its own system, somewhere "units", somewhere rises, somewhere money. Why have these proud or stupid Hutsuls still not agreed among themselves and made a single ski pass? The hosts definitely have a small bonus income from the fact that cards that are not rolled out are simply thrown away. And they, rejoicing at this 10-15% from above, lose many times more on the inconvenience of tourists. The apogee of short-sighted hosts' greed is achieved by the fact that several people cannot be carried on one card with the balance of trips, even on the same lift. Why! ? Because you want money! And instead of doing it conveniently and raising the price, they do it cheaply, inconveniently, but they have a "gain".
The weather on Dragobrat is unpredictable, and sometimes it happens that it is impossible to ski because of the wind and non-working lifts. Therefore, I advise you not to buy cards with large balances "in reserve". And in no case do not throw away cards, even empty ones. Give them to local guys for rent, present them to visiting tourists, or just forget at the reception. In this case, the "fat" will go to the people, and not to the rednecks-owners of the lifts.
Ski pass "Oases" differs in a better way. First, the card stores money, not "units" or trips. Secondly, at the checkout, you can return the balance that has not been rolled out. Yes, they do not have a chair lift, but the track is more varied and interesting.
In general, Dragobrat is a wonderful, unique place. I have never seen such beauty of nature either in Bukovel or in the Alps. The height of the resort is at the level of clouds, a large amount of natural snow and wild nature, which has not yet been overtaken by the fate of a large resort, make Dragobrat an exclusive, uniquely charming place.
