Hotel "Castle of Venice" is located right on the snow-white shore of the gentle Azov Sea, in the south-eastern part of the Berdyansk Spit. The maximum distance from the noisy city, the virgin cleanliness of the beaches and the endless coastline are just some of its many advantages. From the entrance to the topmost tower, you will feel that you are in another state, in another era, and you will even feel a little uncomfortable that you did not have time to change into evening dresses for dinner, although believe me, they are not needed there at all. The decoration of none of the 16 rooms (all of them are "luxury" class) is not repeated. The caring hands of the owners of the hotel have chosen furniture upholstery fabrics, wallpaper, decor, figurines and vases on numerous trips to Italy. The rooms thoughtfully coexist with the Middle Ages and modernity. The thick, powerful walls of the hotel exactly repeat the architecture of a real castle - it is cool inside in summer, and dry and warm in autumn, in September. Unobtrusive staff who are always at your service. An impressively decorated dining room and a cozy summer terrace, where you can fully enjoy dishes made from only the freshest products. Azov seafood, excellent quality meat and salads made according to European standards will be presented to your choice. Portions are large and beautifully presented.
We've been going here for several years now. In early June, to celebrate the wedding day and in mid-September, to celebrate the birthday of her husband. There is no desire to break this tradition. Every time we come to the "Castle of Venice" as if it were our home, we are greeted by a friendly smiling face of the administrator and, on the occasion of the holiday, flowers or cool champagne in a beautiful bucket. In fact, the castle was opened in 2006 and was created entirely by its owner, who visits the hotel every day, kindly meets guests and answers questions from people like me.
Why Venice in the name? I was interested in this question from the moment I chose the hotel, and after my arrival I became even more interested, because the Italian and Greek styles are clearly mixed in the architecture of the Castle and in the design of the territory. In my opinion, the Greek presence is even greater.
As the owner told me, this name prompted him to stay in Venice, as well as the surrounding sea and groundwater, which were in the area where the Castle was built. As a result, I would say this: The Castle of Medieval Europe came out.
Today's "feature" of the Castle - the presence on its facade, in the inner halls of the flags of many states. I counted them at the time of my stay. At the entrance to the Castle, of course, proudly greets guests with the flag of Ukraine! Flags are already a part of the history of the Castle of Venice hotel: the guest presented a flag, put it on a flash drive, then again, again and again.
Another "trick": photos of personalities and events of different eras. It's funny when the Beatles or Charlie Chaplin are next to the knights. Consciousness moves on the wheel of history. Resting, pumping the brain)
Service and rooms.
On the scale of Turpravda is ready to put a solid nine of our nine nights in the ninth room))) The ninth number (and, in my opinion, the 16th) here have views of the sea and beach. Incomparable view from the wide balcony. We spent dinner on the balcony to the sound of the waves. This is amazing!
In the room: wide double bed, refrigerator, condo, sofa, table, wardrobe, hanger, TV. There is a carpet on the floor, so our baby was boldly wandering around the room barefoot. The bathroom is combined, shower.
Two bottles of mineral water are welcome from the hotel upon arrival. Trifle and nice)
Beach towels are provided, towels (small and large) per person are also in the room, shampoo / shower gel / soap - in general, all as we are accustomed to in Turkey or Egypt. The hair dryer was also given to me on request and was not taken away until the end of the holiday. The room was taken away, towels were changed (both in the room and on the beach). The only problem: Wi-Fi interruptions.
They constantly struggled with these interruptions, rebooted, apologized, but the sediment remained, so she took one point. I think that this problem will be solved in the Castle, because you can see how much they value their guests and their wishes.
Beach. The hotel is located by the sea - walk to the beach just a few minutes. On the beach - sunbeds, umbrellas, bar. On the beach only hotel guests (and the hotel has only 16 rooms), so there is no crowd of vacationers, which is quite cool and comfortable. However, along the coastline it is possible to pass our beach, so traders in the most delicious corn, baklava, Azov shrimp were present. Only they reminded us that we are on our Ukrainian coast))) When leaving the beach it is possible to wash your feet from the sand. Details and convenience for guests are thought out.
Yes, the beach is sandy. The color of sea water is turquoise, but not transparent, probably due to the turbulence of the sandy bottom.

Territory. Cozy, clean, full of beautiful medieval figures, statues, well-groomed floristics. There is a swimming pool for adults. Small, equipped with deck chairs, tables, chairs, umbrellas. Inside our stay, inflatable ducks, flamingos and a swan for children appeared in the pool. The joy of the kids knew no bounds, as almost all the guests were families with children. Our daughter is also very "friends" with the duck and flamingo))
Opposite the pool is a small (very small) playground, behind it a barbecue and a gazebo for eating what is cooked on the same barbecue. You can bring your own meat and cook there by agreement with the administration.
Location. The hotel is located on the far Berdyansk spit.
To the end of the spit - two minibus stops (there you can find an exit to the head of the spit, where, they say, very, very beautiful. We searched - did not find how to get there. Or bad search - I do not know ... ). In the other direction - 15 minutes to go to the center of the middle spit, where the market is located, ATMs, cafes. In short, the local "civilization". Around the hotel - silence and grace) Next to another hotel "Vera Lux", where we went by sea for a playground))) It is not bad there: with a slide, swings, sandpit.
Food. This was our biggest "headache" during the holiday. Why I do not like hotels without "all inclusive" or at least half board. But in Berdyansk (and we decided to go there because of the child's health - iodized Azov air was recommended to us as a recovery after the first year of kindergarten and constant colds / otitis).
Moms of two- / three-year-olds will understand me) at the search stage I found only one hotel on the system of "buffet: breakfast, lunch, dinner", places where have already been sold for the whole season. Arthurs Hotel, if anyone is interested)

What in our Castle. The menu had something to feed the child: cheesecakes, pasta / porridge, puree, soups. But the prices are really two or even two and a half times more expensive than in a cafe in the center on the middle spit. For example: a banal omelet is UAH 60 here, UAH 25 there. Tea - here 30 UAH, there - 7 UAH. In general, we went to the center for lunch, and breakfasts and dinners were ordered here out of desperation. Water, juices, alcohol were bought by themselves in ordinary supermarkets in the same center of the middle spit. There is no possibility to cook in the room, and, frankly, the desire, too) There were complaints about the kitchen from other guests and I understood that this issue in the Castle will be resolved / discussed.
