In the room: large, clean four-poster bed; air conditioning, fan, refrigerator, safe, sofa, table. On the balcony there is a table with chairs. A very romantic bungalow in a palm grove))) In the bathroom there is a shower, a toilet, two sinks ...As for the service, you need to immediately understand where you are going and what to expect from this trip. The rooms are clean and decent, their own flavor. The country is poor, but very colorful. Everything really takes place in the "Hakuna Matata", Pole pole…))) mode. The beach is the best on the island: clean, soft, white sand, not many tourists. The ocean is beautiful. He's just amazing. This hotel has the most beautiful beach! The ocean is practically non-existent here. The tides are insignificant. The food is excellent and not too expensive.
We ate only seafood and were very pleased with the cuisine, cooking, service. Flawless food…
We went on an individual excursion (4 people) to the island with turtles Prison Island and Stone Town. We visited Kizimbani spice, a spice farm in the north of the country in a village where such spices as cloves, vanilla, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, various types of pepper grow. House of Freddie Mercury on Zanzibar in Stone Town is one of the main attractions. The first house museum dedicated to the world-famous legendary Freddie Mercury, located on Shangani Street in Stone Town, Zanzibar. The legend of the world rock scene was born and raised in Zanzibar and only moved to the UK at a young age. The museum has many photographs of Freddie Mercury. Definitely worth a visit.
Rest satisfied. I was impressed by the ocean, we don’t forget it, the beach, the hotel’s territory is a palm grove, local flavor with the Maasai.
In general, the friendly attitude of the indigenous population. We recommend this hotel and the beach for a relaxing and not expensive holiday. It is recommended for a company or couples to relax, but unfortunately for children there is no entertainment, animators, a water park and slides. Sunsets on the shores of the Indian Ocean are especially beautiful Everyone has their own paradise ...I fell in love with the ocean as soon as I saw it for the first time. Incomparable ocean, sand, palm trees, coconuts, pineapples, sun, breathtaking color of water
The only negative is the quality of the Sun loungers and Mattresses and their issuance on time.

Hotel. We chose the hotel (and the beach) carefully. They even agreed to reschedule the trip when they did not receive the first confirmation. They didn't regret it. The hotel is 4*. Although. Upon arrival, it turned out that instead of the ordered 2 double rooms in the same building on different floors, we were placed in different buildings and mixed up which one.

I had to figure it out and in the end we got what we wanted without any additional payments. In the room: a large, clean bed with a canopy; air conditioning, fan, refrigerator, safe, table, two chairs. There are three hangers in the hallway (! ). The bathroom has a shower, a toilet, two sinks, two towels (at the end they brought another small one for the legs). On the balcony there is a table with 2 chairs. Everything worked, although the plumbing could have been more decent. Not a single mosquito, few flies, like all the time on the territory (apparently that's why there were no birds at all except crows and sparrows). There were almost no ants on the second floor. Friends on the first - were, but not many. In our room, a green gecko was peacefully crawling along the walls. The safe broke on the first day, but was fixed immediately.
Beach. Apparently the best on the island: clean, soft sand, not many vacationers. The tides were practically not noticed. The ocean is as beautiful as in renaissance paintings. Warm water is a couple of degrees below the air (up to 30 on land - 27 in water). Never wore slippers. Crazy scooters circle the beach area behind distant buoys. Colorful Masai sometimes bother, but after meeting they do not stick.
The only significant downside. Every month on the full moon, the nearby Kendwa Rock Hotel holds a festival. From sunset to sunrise, the music rumbles so that the glass rattles and the walls stagger. Do not close your eyes. The head is cracking. I went to reception twice at night. At first they promised that the madness would stop at 2 am, then later. I got them to call the police, but the police do not pick up the phone at night. I strongly advise those who want to relax at night, find out the time of the full moon and get out of the hotel for the night somewhere in a timely manner.
Excursions. We took two excursions from a local curator.
1. Individual (4 people) to the island with turtles and Stone Town. The minibus driver was half an hour late for the departure and 45 minutes late for the departure from the city to the hotel. As a result, we did not end up in the city where we planned. Turtles are impressive. Apparently this is the most memorable episode of the trip. The tour guide Yasha (local) was not up to par.
2. A group (6 people) to the dolphins, to the "disappearing island" to eat seafood and to the monkeys in the forest. The guide turned out to be the same Yasha, but he behaved much better despite the limited Russian and meager knowledge in general. The dolphin tour turned out to be a circus when 15 motorboats explode and rush towards the dolphin's barely visible fin. When the whole pack rushed to the place, the dolphins calmly show up 200 meters away in another place. In other words, a flock of dolphins (6) made fun of us, playfully diving under the boats and calmly moving in an unpredictable direction. True, I did manage to dive at the right time and in the right direction and see the cigars of our smaller brothers floating nearby, who did not pay the slightest attention to us. Lunch was good, fresh lobsters, amazing shrimp, "rubberized" squid with octopus. But we saw the monkeys up close, admired the games of the young. Unexpectedly surprised by the final part of the tour - a hike through the mangroves. A huge ocean bay, shallow, completely covered with mangrove roots that snake everywhere. Tourists pass on top of wooden platforms over a large area, so you walk as if through an enchanted forest - dry and calm. Again: not a single midge and fly.
Food. Breakfasts. Meager: omelettes that are being prepared in front of our eyes, but for which a queue is built for 20-30 minutes. From the rest, muesli, milk, juices, fresh fruit, a few buns, butter. It is not critical for us, but I suspect that many may be dissatisfied. Lunches and dinners are either local fruit from the shops or right there in the restaurant, where they cook delicious food.
Summary. Rest satisfied. I was impressed by the ocean, the beach, the territory of the hotel, the local flavor with the Masai. Generally friendly attitude of the population. We recommend this hotel and the beach for a relaxing and not expensive holiday.

We have long dreamed of going to Tanzania. Turned up a suitable budget option. Check-in at the hotel went without problems. We were seated immediately upon arrival, around 12:00 pm. The room is good, spacious for 3 people. However, on the same day when we were on the beach, the water supply hose to the bathroom sink broke, which caused the entire room to be flooded.

The room is good, spacious for 3 people. However, on the same day when we were on the beach, the water supply hose to the bathroom sink broke, which caused the entire room to be flooded. It’s good that almost all things were dismantled from the suitcases and did not get wet. However, the suitcases and backpacks themselves and everything that was on the floor got very wet. On our request to change the room, we received an answer that there was no management at the hotel today. True, the water was removed quickly and the hose was replaced promptly.
The beach at the hotel is very good, the water is clean. The sand of the beach is also in excellent condition. On the beach there are guards who do not allow local sellers to sunbeds. So there was no need to worry about the left things. But everything is only limited to a wonderful beach. The hotel is boring. Wi-Fi only in the restaurant and at the bar. But the quality is such that it does not load at all. And passwords are changed every day. It is difficult to figure out which password is currently in effect. No animation. After 18-00, as it gets dark, there is nothing to do at all, only a bar. But he is open until 11:00. And the wine runs out even earlier.
Separately, I want to say about breakfast. I have never seen anything like this in all my travels. Breakfast officially starts at 07:30. However, the staff only at this time begins to distribute dishes and products. And it does it very slowly. From hot - only omelettes. There is a huge queue for them. On the last day there was a problem at all - every 2 out of 3 eggs were rotten!! ! Products (buns, butter, jams, etc. ) run out and are no longer replenished. Everyone says no more. And yet, how can it be that in such a country fruits for breakfast were given strictly 3 pieces to each vacationer personally on a plate ???
In general, if it were not for the excursions, then the rest would have gone down the drain.

And so about the hotel! We arrived around 5 am. The airport sucks! Stuffiness, heat, lethargic and slow Africans.... Everything ran. Later we realized that this is such a local "African flavor". We were brought to the hotel around 7 am. Things were taken to the storage room (this is a separate room without a lock))))), sent us to breakfast.

We were brought to the hotel around 7 am. Things were taken to the storage room (this is a separate room without a lock))))), sent us to breakfast. Check-in was at 11 o'clock. Now about breakfast)))))) It's funny even to write))))) For example: 3 slices of potatoes, such as french fries, a spoonful of beans, a slice of carrots, asparagus, zucchini - this is the main dish. Then: a thin slice of pineapple, papaya or mango; tea or coffee and buttered toast. We had breakfast)))))))) Ocheeeen poorly! By the way, the restaurant gives you a WiFi password every morning. Then we went to the beach to wait for the settlement. About the beach!!!! ! Perhaps this hotel has the most beautiful beach! The ocean is practically non-existent here. The tides are insignificant. But! The biggest low tides are on the full moon. Water leaves for 300 meters (when in other parts of the island it leaves for a kilometer for sure). There is a catastrophic shortage of sun loungers, so people take their places from 6 in the morning. There are towels. . At 11 o'clock we were given the key to the room. In principle, you can live in a room, if you do not notice the old and rusty plumbing, dirty and old towels and bed linen, and the lack of a TV. I want to say about the colorful Africans on the beach, who accompany everywhere and everywhere, even if you and your family want to take a walk without an escort))))) They are very annoying and annoying. It was very disturbing! I wanted to sit in the evening and watch the sunset, but no! They did not give rest for a minute! Farther.....Tours of the islands are completely useless! The purest and azure water is right here - at your feet. We went on excursions to different islands and spat, seeing ordinary water, like in any sea.....Another moment made me very angry: at every step, the Europeans are trying to cheat. Prices are awesome! We agreed with the local guide, who calls himself Gleb, that he would buy and cook shrimp for us, gave him money for 3 kg...... And what was our surprise when, instead of 3 kg, we saw on the table 3 shrimp per person (15 pieces), with a taste of sand on our teeth. For this culinary miracle, he demanded that we add another $5. In short, it's a common scam. I will say this about food: for the money they cooked deliciously in our hotel. We ordered pizza, various seafood dishes - everything is quite well prepared. We also went to the neighboring hotel "Essens" - there is European-level service and very tasty dishes. Prices are higher than in Sunset. Fruits are carried along the beach. But I’ll say right away: it’s not cheap (this is not Sri Lanka for you))))). We went to the village for fruit. You can drive into the city, but taxi prices bite. There is not much else to say about the hotel. The only attraction here is the beautiful ocean and the sand on the beach! Don't forget that before leaving you will have to pay a commission fee (don't spend all your dollars)))))). By the way, they brought home bought 3 shells and mangoes. For shells at the airport, they demanded a bribe of $ 20 (whispering in your ear))))). They missed the mango (we carried it in our luggage). As a result: I position the hotel itself as an ordinary threesome with sooooo meager breakfasts! But the beach is the bomb! You will understand this when you go to Nungwi and see the low tides (you can swim there only early in the morning or in the afternoon))))))

People go to Zanzibar not to sit in a room, but to the ocean, and it is magnificent there. Since prices for 5 * bite there, we decided to take 3 *, well, this is from someone as income allows. We chose between Kendwa and Nungwi, in the end we settled on this hotel and did not regret it. We also went to Nungwi for a walk, here the beach is definitely better.

We chose between Kendwa and Nungwi, in the end we settled on this hotel and did not regret it. We also went to Nungwi for a walk, here the beach is definitely better. As for the service, you need to immediately understand where you are going and what to expect from this trip. The country is poor. but very colorful. Everything really takes place in the "Hakuna Matata" mode))). And so is the hotel. Since the bungalows were all occupied, this was immediately indicated when booking, they ordered a room view of the apartment. The bungalows are closer to the beach, but if you walk into the village, then the apartments are closer. We were seated immediately upon arrival, no extra charge. The rooms are clean and decent, their own flavor. They cleaned every day, but there are no Swarovski chandeliers and velvet chairs, but you need to understand this is Zanzik and not Dubai or Turkey. As for the food - the hotel only had breakfast, well, if you can call it breakfast. For me personally, an omelet, toast with coffee and a couple of pieces of fruit for breakfast were enough. If there is not enough fruit in the market, mango is 1000 shillings, pineapple is 3000. We had lunch and dinner at the Fishman restaurant, but it looks unsightly, but this is not the main thing, everything is always fresh, deliciously cooked there, very loyal prices and large portions. We went a couple of times to the Italians in La Fontana, everything is decent there, but the cuisine will be more expensive, and not tasty, although on the last day they took a lobster (it was just a catch), it was cooked well. As for the beach - it's just super, that moment when you look at the water, and nothing bothers you in life. We went in the season, while there were enough sunbeds, no one, like a frantic one, ran to occupy them at 6 in the morning. we went to the city (Stone Town) ourselves on a regular minibus for 1 dollar, everything was fine. With the locals (boy Ibrahim), my husband and daughter swam for 25 bucks for snorkeling for the whole day, although I at the last moment refused this excursion for health reasons, the money was never returned, although they promised. I would recommend this hotel for a budget holiday in Zanzibar.
